Ooh, good tip. I'll get on that. Most of the brands are non-existant, I'm buying most of this stuff before it's even labeled, and the parts that -do- have the labels on them are such off brands it's not worth listing. The motor RPM is there (That's what kv is), the torque I'll see about getting.
Thanks!
Edit:
Yeah, seeing what I can do about stocking colsons (or equivalent) and lite flites (or equivilent). Also spoke been speakign with Banebots, will likely stock their motors and wheels. Not sure if it'll be a better price, but it'll at least be a little more convenient to only shop at one e-store. Still working on finding more suppliers.
Can't get info on torque from the manufacturer, but you can guesstimate the torque based on the size of the stator (take a few mm off the overall diameter) and the number winds (if the kv/rpm is low, it has a lot of winds), you can also get a good idea if you consider the amps, size, and kv of the motor. I expect that these motors are comparable within about 10% of an axi, but don't quote me on that. And with this sport, an extra 10% isn't really a big deal, when you can simply just increase the size of the motor or give it more volts. I used one of these offbrand motors myself as a weapon motor in my 12 lb robot. It worked betetr than the same size axi, for me. And to the best of my knowledge, the kv and stator size were very similar.
- With the offbrand motor
- With the axi (Trouble spinning up)
