This was posted on that Reddit thread today by the purported Chinkilla guys

"In response to the quietness of our reddit account and the validity of our team I have a couple of things to say. Yes we will be competing, however Jay, sadly will not be joining us at the event as he has other commitments, however he will make an appearance in the build videos, giving us his blessing. As far as our reddit activity I was just told recently of this thread by a fellow builder and thought I should share our involvement. Thank you all for your enthusiasm towards the event it is appreciated by us builders."

The fact that other builders are telling eachother about my reddit thread, and in the past week I got inside info on BRONCO, and even talked to the shows PR Director, would make the 2001 me so excited. This detective stuff has been an awesome ride

EDIT Who do you think the 1-2 UK Reserves are. I'M betting Storm 2 and Spitfire.

Yep. G3 Robotics' blog's Facebook page confirmed it when he was included with a list of veterans referred to as competitors.

The other competitors listed were ones we already know will be there.

I'm kind of disappointed at the number of resuscitated robots. Bots like Nightmare and Little Sister are fairly out of date, unless they're being modernized like Warhead.

Little Sister's been semi-active in the UK for years, and Nightmare was being upgraded if the picture I saw was any indication.
