I'd recommend just customizing Small Arena. I've seen your cutomization skills before, and Small Arena would be a great starting point.
-
Or just use Joe's CC Qualifying arena.
-
i ment for real XD a real arena XD
-
oooh I just realized this was under Real Robotics
I :fail: ed.
-
lol if you have any idea or drawing or 3ds i take all ideas :D
-
4X8 to 8X8 foot lexan box with steel or plywood floor is pretty typical in the US. I'm biased towards no hazards but a kickplate where bots can get stuck on is always fun. 3/16 inch lexan should work but for saftey reasons I recomend doubling that.
-
yay a first idea i will keep that in mind thanks
-
my first ant arena idea was to have 1 pit low walls spikes from the floor and side pannels for robots to get stuck on anyone think of anything better
-
I don't like the idea of spikes. They are just a bear to maintian with any spinner bots and dont do anything.
-
yer :)
-
i need more ideas :)
-
so are you actually building said arena or just after ideas ?
-
im building an arena :) and i need ideas?

May I say, this is a WIN idea.
Concept coming soon.

you could have a hammer on a see-saw type of hinge and have someone controlling it like a ghetto pulverizer
that might be pretty cool
-
you could make a flame pit with some chicken wire and a lighter.
-
for robots wars minibot toys maybe
you would need something larger for antweights
-
Flippers are always fun.

you do realize its going to cost around 1000 bucks to to build an 8X8. i've priced it out before, you need 4-4X8 sheets of 1/4" poly, they start at around 190 each plus your shipping so figure 800. and you figure around 120 feet of steel witch comes in 20 foot sections witch you need to cut to 12-8' and 4-4' and your also going to need various fasteners, plywood for floor and roof, and whatever kind of electronics you want to run, lights, and other miscellaneous stuff. its not just a Sunday build its takes lots of planning and funding
-
lol this is the uk arena not the american one our ants are 150g and have a smaller arena 4 Inch cube
-
oh then it should only cost you like 200 euro to build a 4'x4' and you should be able to get away with using 1/8" to 3/16" poly
-
Pounds not euros
