About the small wedges: they are LOW to the ground when you use them correctly. This ties into the next section as well since it plays a huge role in our meta. Okay, DSL 2.1 had wedges like that, but it was generally a door/skirt hinge+skirt, which is less useful now with the thicker skirts. Both methods apply useful amounts of pressure to the ground.
The formula that we have currently agreed on is hinge + some rod + small wedge. Sounds simple, but the intricacies of how to outwedge another robot with the same style of wedges is beyond me. We have seen situations where A outwedges B, B outwedges C and then C outwedges A. There is definitely a lot to be learnt here.
Wedges are tricky. For example, some robots have wedges flush with each other. This is creating a small weakness. Wedge quality decreases as you move away from the center of the hinge. Perhaps they are trying to make a platform for the opponent to sit on, but there are better ways of doing that. There are other factors too, such as pressure, weight distribution, and sometimes floor meshes.
To add to the wedge mechanic talk, heard before that it's basically 30% mechanics and 70% luck. For mechanics, from what I heard is that basically hinged wedge plus a balanced speed so the bot is not too slow and have enough speed to wedge and push stuff up, while not frontflipping badly on first contact

Anyway, decided to show another non GTM RA2 tourney. There's Roboforce by Tigerex. It is a Stock tourney featuring his own bots on first main series, and the next main series will be Stock IRL too. However, Roboforce will do an Extreme series first, which is on signup now and is DSL IRL, and signup will end on June. Entry limit is basically unlimited, though be warned some of the entries may eventually be turned down. The channel if you want to watch Roboforce btw: https://m.youtube.com/user/tigerex5Meanwhile, for my opinion on the Chinese tourney, will be a good idea if they like allow other players not from their community to participate too tbh. Maybe like a China vs The World tourney

So, after seeing some non GTM RA2 stuffs, I decided to make a thread for things related to them, to show the rest of GTM those, as I noticed that most of the stuffs found outside of GTM are posted or linked on Discord, and there's some people who don't use it. So first, for tourneys, there's Robotic World League by Alloftheman. RWL 2 will happen somewhere this month or next month. In addition, it will release eps when signup for RWL 2 happens. It has an intro now though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KFg5E48oUo&feature=youtu.beSecond tourney is Robottal Wars, by the Good Robottal people, who mainly operate on Youtube and Discord. Their YouTube channel if you want to watch it: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC9w0YrifKOGJhzC7cM8lIFgAnd third, in the Unofficial Robot Arena 2 Facebook group, there's a Chinese RA2 AI tourney now. It doesn't have a standardized standard right now though. Pics of it and the splashes, as well as link (for link, you have to be a member of the group to see it though) https://www.facebook.com/groups/UnofficialRA2/permalink/926507061074266/

Just to remind people, but signup will end but the end of tomorrow. After that, I won't receive entries anymore, and will make preparations with AI'ing and making splashes, before making the SBV, and then recording and editing

Updated the list again with accepted entries. Will check then all tomorrow because turns out I come back home tomorrow.
Also, one or two days left until end of signup

Glad to hear that I got a lot of people hyped up for this thing. :D
For now, I'm gonna be removing the crash patch overall, and patching up other rules that look strange. Also...
Happy that this is a thing now!
Of course this question but are custom components allowed where ONLY* the 3D mesh is edited so the item looks different but cant give me an advantage of any kind? I hope its ok :o
*(Only 3D Mesh means that i wont touch the collision box)
I mean, if you can provide a detailed example and reasoning, sure. I only stated the custom components and reskin things for cosmetic purposes.
To support what Bild said, I think he means like the gears on his CW shell spinner

Currently have V2 for it. Could either reenter DP Gen II, upgrade it, or just enter Nature Defender's in case of secondary entry being opened

Cool ep. Some great fights and good bots winning, especially Ryu Kishin, Blood Czar, Backhanded Compliments, and Riot

You forgot to update the results of CPU Black Heart vs Cthulu and also I rewatched Deathwind vs Ocean Cleaner and I was wrong. Deathwind did won. I thought it lost because it got stuck on the arena.
Fixed it! Also I was unsure if i should let Deathwind won but since Ocean Cleaner is my bot, it would feel like a dickmove when i let ocean cleaner win. :o
Wood Chipper 2 vs. Trap 1189 Trap 1189 lost all of its wheels from one side and the fight was hard to record because Trap uses 45° extenders as weapon on the drums, oof.
Sorry about that. They're just meant to be little grips. :V
I think back in the day, it wasn't even known that 45° Extenders are basicly Crash & Havok potentional².
For Trap 1189 vs Wood Chipper 2, guessing Trap 1189 havoked badly or crashed the game in previous recordings, because it looked like Trap 1189 got screwed by the havok when it was controlling Wodd Chipper 2
Most of the fights went like: Collide and crash or a bad havok or freeze so i was pretty happy with that result. :o Didnt even noticed but did trap got that badly screwed with a havok? :o
I mean, while it got gutripped by Wood Chipper 2 before the controlling part, it didn't lose much part IIRC. I'd even say it may have a chance to dominate Wood Chipper 2 when controlling it for the rest of the match like Riot if the havok didn't happen

To support what F1 said, Deathwind was freed after being stuck due to the AI of Ocean Cleaner before it could get counted out, and afterward, it just damaged Ocean Cleaner until Ocean Cleaner's chassis sparked and it got knocked out

Updated the entry list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zMbQzbU9_XYJDumauJjLO8uPkECH72VD6jiUAXTMWWg/edit?usp=drivesdk4 spots left in AW before hitting the minimum of 16 and 1 spot left in HW before hitting minimum of 32 Also, since I have sorted all my entries, will notify you, but I'll give the deadline for the tourney. It will be by the end of Monday, and there will be an extension of a day, or end of Tuesday, for those who haven't manage to enter what they want by time for some reason

Double post, but also upgraded my SHW, OverCleaver, into OverCleaver Gen II. It has 4 TWMR2 drives, two longs and maybe two ants IIRC, Ti5 armor, all aluminium extenderwork, and Dual Perm motor. The bar is also mpunted at 30 degrees and doubled, with two 50x150 bars, four large typhoons, and four large beaters. Weight is 1199.2

Made another new bot, this time upgrading OverChopper Gen II into OverChopper Gen III. This time, it features a new, more unique chassis. It also have two NPC Fasts with small Colsons, a long and ant batts, 6mag for the weapon, all aluminium extenders and panels, and a bar mpunted at 22.5 degree angle with 50x150 DSL bar plus some aluminium extenders, two large typhoons, and two large beaters. The armor is also Alu5. Weight is 799.6

Cool thing that you are continuing RGS2 Bild. Now I just need to continue my own divisions of AW and BW, and maybe record LW-HW of this RGS2 and uploading them for fun, but not official. Currently busy doing my own tourney though

[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] Ti 3- props for girthquake for giving me an Idea of sideways hammers, now all I can think off is a pirate ship with a furry as its weapons
Really cool and creative. Just wondering though if it will be for LDAI 3 and my tourney, or something else
