The big 1.2 Version is out, lads.

It's finally got models for the robots.

(Image removed from quote.)
If you could actually make it a board game, you are a certified mortal god.

It already was a board game dude, if that is what you mean. Was released physically ages ago, this is a version made for the Tabletop Simulator.

Right...let's look at these bots.
1. It's a door! Not much else to say really, just a mess (sorry).
2. Simple design but effective from what I can tell! Splash could use a bit more oomph though.
3. Not too bad, the toast part is a very neat touch! Splash works quite well, simple but effective!
4. It's a microwave! I like how all the vital components are inside the microwave itself!
5. This is awesome, the disc skin (it is a skin right? I can't skin at all) is great! The splash is okay.
6. It's a table, WOOD you believe it? It's not very good all around though (sorry).
7. Not bad, interesting shape and I like the LED effects added. Splash could have been done a lot better.
8. Not too appealing to look at it and no, not just because it is based on poop. The weaponised part looks decent though. Splash is meh (sorry).

Also would just like to add: no, I didn't make 3 or 4.  :P

I like 3volution, sure it may be a bit wide but for your third extenderbot, not bad at all! I also don't see why people are so against angle extenders, I didn't notice them until people pointed them out: they can work if used correctly which I feel they were here. In any case, can we see a Salamandra 4ever that is a bit narrower?  ;)

I wanted to make a Killertron/Terrorhurtz/Beta type weapon but with a spinning weapon instead!

Since we're both originally from BW, you mean one similar to Jelson's, amirite?

I have no idea what you're talking about. :P

holy sh**

that's cool

duality looks kinda weird tho

Thanks, I can see why Duality is weird...will have to redo it sometime!

In the meantime, here is the first of a series of construction/scrapheap themed robots: presenting Tearaway! I wanted to make a Killertron/Terrorhurtz/Beta type weapon but with a spinning weapon instead!

I really love it dude, colours stand out and the design is pretty cool! I especially like the tail...teach me your ways!

I've been working on a few weird bits of stuff recently so have a mix of robots! These aren't my best bots, just ideas I wanted to try, they'll be improved in the future! First up is Squish...think Milly Ann Bug but with 2 more sections. Each section contains a battery to run the robot while the head has the motors, control board and main ramming weapons.

Secondly, here is Robo-Punk. A friend asked me to make a 4 wheeled robot with a wedge-like front. (Yes it is underweight, wasn't sure what to add to it!)

Lastly, here is Duality, I feel it looks a lot like Pitbull from Robot Wars. It isn't the most efficient bot but I wanted to see if I could make this wacky, invertible idea come to life.

why are the newbies already so good at dsl smh
All the old guard had to relearn DSL and convert their mindset from DSL-S to IRL. Newbies and people that didn't build much DSL-S in 2.1 came in with a fresh mind and so take to the very different building style more easily. It's why you don't really see the best 2.1 or stock builders making god-tier IRL bots, I think.

not a bad explanation actually didnt think of that

Took me a fair while to get used to DSL though honestly, I had no idea that DSL 2.1 was as different as what it sounds.

I'm glad you think I'm good at this building stuff though.

God damn they look good dude
This is such a cool concept and the bots looks super cool too. I particularly like Labrat,Nibbler, Rattrap and Cheesnout. I wonder if any tournament hosts would let you enter all 6 and then pick and choose which pairings you want to fight with. Almost like a swiss army bot but not.

Also love that you matched the battery colours to the exteriors. The level of attention to detail is real.

Thanks guys, it'd be awesome if a tournament host let me use them like that! Gotta love the new IRL component pack DSC released, thought it'd be cool to match the batteries as close as possible!  ;)

So I've been working on this project for the last few days...I present to you all "The Rat Race"!

The inspiration behind this ragtag group of rodents came from Creepy Crawlies from Battlebots, the rat robots from Robotica and robots I've seen on here with different configurations! I had the random idea of "Would it possible to make a group of bots that all share the same base body but have different weapons/personalities etc." All of these bots share the same base chassis, wheels and wheel motors and armour plating and tails. Everything else is different depending on the robot. They could either compete individually as Cruiserweights or pair together as a SuperHeavyweight entry.

Here is their insides too.

Hope you all like them!

Nicely done!

Here's Stock Cassius Chrome. Got this bastard done in roughly an hour or two.

You can find him on the BotExchange in the UHW class.

Goodness grief, that is fantastic!

With all the time you spend bitching about people posting multiple robots, you could actually give feedback on them instead. Just a thought.

I had to go off and it was 1am. I needed sleep so I finished the post off and went to bed. I'll review en in a bit.

Also, well done to Hoppin for editing in detailed advice. That's what showcases are for.

Saturnalia: Good but generic. Give it some accenting with wedge edges, spikes, extenders, extras. You have a lot of colours to choose from, try and use them all. Also, it needs a less generic skin. Also, this robot is unrealistic as ****. Look at how the npc goes through the burst. How the hell is a piston meant to get through there?

Magnhild: Build to the weightlimit. That's just under 125kg wasted. Your chassis is too small. That's a ****ing puny burst. I'd be surprised if your robot didn't fly through the air everytime you fired the burst. Slimbodies on a HW? No. Use the weight limit and get some NPC'sin there. Stick an armour plate on or 2 to add to the look. Decorate. The skin looks messy with some being plain white and others being metal. Build up a look for the skin.

Stormflower: Unrealistic as ****: the bar and teeth go through the perm and I think actually hit the drive motors and wheels in places. The Sir K claws do not fit the bar: use something else. Put the perm in theback and extend the belt out to the front. Use Left and Right NPC's because they are flatter. Too many batteries for sure: The batteries shuld tell you how many motors they can power, and for how long they power it for.

Crocea Mors: Looks good. Slimbodies clip with the battlepacks though, and that is not good. Get into the habit of Building realistic constantly. Using an excuse of "it won't appear in tournaments" is just a way of refusing to improve.

Ruby Rose: Can't really see the internals well. Try and fit the skin to the extender colour. You probably need a wedge on there. Slimbodies for drive? NO.

Black Sun: Unrealistic. Don't use Ant batteries. Longer belt on the motor. Underweight.

Yoton: Generic. Needs a better skin. Underweight: this is underweight even for Cruiserweight standards. Unrealistic AGAIN.

Rum/Flipper Arma/Garudimimus/Einiosaurus: Looks decent. No advice available becaus eyou haven't provided internals, outside of a request for a better skin.

Still no excuse to moan about it. If multiple bots annoy you then just bypass it: you're the only guy with an issue about it. In any case, it's nice to see that you actually took the time to give Primeval feedback which is all he wanted in the first place...even if you are a bit harsh at times.

Anyway, nice to see your DSL bots on here Primeval. I'm gonna start by saying you have a great imagination which is always a good start. I can see your robots really improving if you take on the advice people give you here, who knows what heights you'll reach?!

Saturnalia - The robot looks great on the outside but the motors clipping the burst isn't good. I've always liked the design of this bot though!

Magnhild - I like the body shape but could it perhaps be a bit bigger? Means you could fit in better suiting motors which are more appropriate for the weightclass! Does the robot go unsteady when it fires, the third picture seems to suggest this so maybe add some weights in the front and back of the hammer? Might help with the weight issue too! Skin wise, I like it but I feel the metal parts are outlandish...perhaps replace these with some regular grey paint?

Stormflower - It looks alright but the spinning blade goes through the motor. The wheels also go through the body at a weird angle. Perhaps rebuilt the bot to have more of a UK Fluffy-like body? The Killalot claws kinda suit the bar but don't at the same time. Did you experiment with other weapons on there?

Crocea Mors - Love the design of this bot, definitely my favourite visually! Again, the motors/batteries clipping isn't very good so if you could change that, it'd be awesome!

Ruby Rose - It looks decent but like Ava said, it's a bit hard to see the insides. Can't really say anymore, sorry!

Black Sun - Definitely more than enough batteries in there, you don't need that many! Robot looks pretty cool though although it looks like again, the blade will clip through parts of the robot like batteries.

Yoton - Simple but cool looking, I can't tell how clumped together the insides are so if they are clipping etc make sure to change that!

I can only give visual advice/comments on the last four bots, make sure to provide internal shots if possible!

Rum - Looks quite cool, I like the spinning drum!

FlipperArma - That sure is a big flipper! Bot looks cool but the wheels clipping through the top at a weird angle kinda bring it down a little bit for me.

Garudimimus - Simple robot that reminds me of Robochicken, could do with a better skin if possible though!

Einiosaurus - It looks pretty cool, I especially like the flipper design. Wheels slightly poking out the side but this is easily fixable I'm sure!

Keep it up man, I look forward to seeing your improvements/future robots!

Thanks for the kind words guys

bruh how could you not have a flamethrower for this

I didn't have that in mind when building it, I may make it switchable or something.

this is kickass

i have one complaint though. it looks very... square and boxy for a dragon, and not "organic" enough.

Complaint noted: it would have looked a tad better if it didn't have those big boxes on it's shoulders but the batteries and stuff needed to go somewhere! I feel I tend to make better "organic" looking robots that don't rely heavily on extenders/armour panels (Cobra and to a degree, Crocognaws) so perhaps I'll have to make a non-extenderbot version soon.

Modifications / Re: IRL Components - Pack Two: Armour Released

Awesome work, but when I click on the new Battlepacks, my game crashes. All the other additions seem to be working fine.
Can confirm same here.

Can confirm this has happened to me too. It just crashes the game. Aside from that, everything looks amazing!

IMO Carrion's eyes aren't emphasized enough (4 colors within a small space doesn't help).

Werewolf is easily BOTM material.

Carrion's eyes were the last thing I added in to be honest, I wasn't even sure I'd be able to add something there! I'll give them a look over!

BOTM Material? Wow, that is one heck of a compliment, thank you!
