Things are less complicated if you ban cheatbot. Perhaps allowing just the Judge Burst is a viable idea.
I think I will keep the 1 Judge Motor per bot thing.

I think if we want to AI our own bots we should be allowed to imo.
That's fine, less work for me! :)

You may want to rethink your cheatbot rules - many of the components are crazily overpowered. The BattleBots tournaments have a good set of allowed components, also, I'm assuming this is DSL from the cheatbot components?
Okay, I was thinking about changing the list and cheatbot was the first thing that came to mind and I think I may just ban cheatbot altogether.

This is my idea for a 'Father and Son' tournament.
Concept:
This tournament will be a tag team tournament with 8 teams of 2. The reason it is 'Father and Son' is because the teams have to be a Heavyweight robot (601-800kg) and a similar version of that robot in lightweight form (up to 249). This means that entrants will get two robots to participate with each but they need to be similar and one of them has to be heavyweight and the other has to be lightweight.

Rules:
Both robots must fit the weight limit.
All robots are to be made in the botlab of DSL 2.1 (no custom components or editing the bot outside of the botlab but custom smartzones are allowed).
The IRL rule is being used (so no robots you wouldn't see in real life).
Due to the above rule, the inside of the robot remains IRL as well (in other words, no stacking of battery packs, etc.)
Full body spinners and multibots are banned.
No use of glitches whatsoever.
Cheatbot2 is banned (however, one Judge Burst Motor per bot is allowed.)
The robots must have at least 2 wheels touching the ground and can show controlled movement. However, if the robot is a walker, this rule does not apply and it gets a 100kg weight increase.
Any Havok Explosions that occur will result in the match being restarted. When one team have caused the match to restart due to Havok Explosions more than twice, that team is disqualified.
The BBEANS 2 arena will be used and every match will last 3 minutes.

Notes:
I will be doing all the AI (I may be new to the forum but I'm quite good at AIing. I have posted some evidence on my profile already that I can AI. You can AI your own bots if you wish).
Robots must be checked by me before they can be accepted. Any robots that don't meet the requirements stated will be rejected, but you can still attempt to enter with another.
Byebots will be used if necessary and I will take part in the tournament myself if I am running low on entries.
All entries will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis.
A final note, just because I am new to the forum, doesn't mean I can't AI and organize a tournament. I will be fully dedicated to this tournament if it goes the right way.

I am now taking entries:
1. El Chickenado w/ Snugglebot Evo + Son of Sungglebot
2. RedAce w/ Hurricane + Twister
3. nicsan2009 w/ I Didn't Do It + Maybe I Did
4. Elementos w/ Atom + Molecule
5. Mouldy King Bash w/ Acid Thunder + Acid Cloud
6. TommyProductionsInc w/ VDX-MK2 + VDX-MINI
7. 090901 w/ THWACK! + WACK!
8. helloface199 w/ Dexterity Lite + Daddy Dexterity
Orange - I have received your entry and I am about to check it.
Blue - Your entry has passed checking and is going on to AI.
Green - Your entry is accepted.
Red - Your robot has a problem (you'll stay on the list until it's fixed but you can be replaced.)
I will notify anyone who hasn't passed checking and ask them whether they want to try again or leave the tournament.
P.S. Thank you to everyone that has allowed this to go to sign-ups!

Thanks, Naryar and Craaig. I think you're both awesome imo, from what I've seen on the forum.

Discussion / Willing to help AI
« on: May 24, 2014, 05:08:18 AM »
Hi everyone. As you can probably tell, I am new here but I already know a lot about this forum. I was a bit nervous to make an account but I finally got around to it.

Anyway, that aside, I am not the best robot builder in any sense of the meaning but I am aspiring to be great at AIing. So, could some people please send me some non-AIed robots to test my skills and whether or not I'm as good as I think I am.

Update: I have decided to go with some advice I got and successfully AIed my first bot from bot exchange.

*UPDATE*
With the recent finish of my tournament and the month gap between now and my next tournament, I'm willing to AI anyone's robots. If it's for a tournament, make sure to mention me.
