Welcome back! I'm a fan of your old robots, so it's nice to see you back.
I think it looks pretty cool. I actually like the two connected disk weapon setup, and also the wheelguards look nice.
Are the disks actually attached together,or is one attached to the weapon supports? If they're attached then I would separate them using the double axle motor (if possible) and stick with axes, otherwise I would replace the axes with beater bars and stick with the two connected disks look  you have now, for a cool drum.

That's a really good Iron Awe replica, especially, as FOTEPX says, without using custom parts.

And in case you couldn't find it here's a link to the AI Resetti is referring to:

This one is fairly simple... except for the skin. That took a long time, hopefully you can see why. Here's Cheshire Cat:

Back:

Other than the metal texture everything was done myself in Paint.Net, including the teeth (which were done one by one, painfully slowly).

I'd say so, I wasn't around when you were, but I do know who you are because of the cool stuff you made. Welcome back :)

Ah, you have't got the DSL 2.1 fix you need to use it. Download and install this: https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=17096.0
In future you should really have asked me this in either a PM or my showcase or whatever, because it is off-topic in this thread.

I think both are great. I would say a weapon slot would look good on the VS, but since you already explained that bfe messes up the skin I can understand why that would be difficult.

Your Acid-Drill bot looks badass, dude. Do you think you could send it for others to upload? I would love to play around with him to see how he fights.
Sure, I'll put it on the bot exchange, in case anyone else wants it too.

Rather than far out battleshots of your replicas, can we have close-up cropped images of them instead? So for example instead of this:
upload this:
That way we get a better view of just the replica. Battleshots can go in the separate battleshots thread.
From the picture you gave us, however, the skin doesn't look bad at all, especially if you're just using paint to do it. It is slightly inaccurate, as Panic has several smaller spiderwebs rather than one big web in the middle, but otherwise it looks pretty good to me.

Love the first one, you did a really good job on the skin especially.
Don't like the second one as much, but it's still good. I do like how nice and even all the forks are, but I personally would have had them closer to the chassis.

Never mind, I just did it a different way by using the internet to open my picture, then copy the http:// thing (Think it's called a URL title), and pasted it in the URL slot and it worked. YES! Now I just need to make a new YouTube channel involving what my avatar says. ROBO BOYS!
I'm afraid that didn't actually work, since according to my computer the URL of the image you are using is 'http://c/Users/Learner/Pictures/Robo%20Boys%202.png'. This is a location on your computer, so I can't see the image without access to your computer. So that we can see it first upload the image here: https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?page=image_host
and then paste the image URL you get from that instead. Please also use this method of uploading images for pasting on the forums rather than thumbnail attachments, by using the URL from the uploader and then putting around the url. That is also the reason your images are so small.

Uh, what are they and how do I access them?
I assume you mean what are the allowed dimensions? I don't know what the allowed dimensions are (128x128 possibly?).
Also, rather than post twice in a row you can use the edit button when viewing your post to edit in whatever you want to add.

Can anyone tell me how to customize my profile? I'm quite new to having a profile on Gametechmods and I don't know how to customize it. Could any of you help? Love the rep's, by the way. They're great. Wish I could do them the way you guys can.
At the top of the page there is a bar under the GTM Logo where you can select Profile, next to BotExchange. From there you can see an orange button above the summary of your profile, called 'Profile Info', and next to it is 'Modify Profile'. Hover over it and you see a drop down list, from the list select 'Forum Profile'. Then you are taken to a page to edit your profile.

Modifications / Re: Robot Wars RA2 - OFFICIAL MOD
« on: November 16, 2014, 02:03:42 PM »
Hey, I've been watching your progress with these robots and, Heretic, I have to say they are bloody brilliant.  I have a few questions, though.
1) Are you doing robots from Robot Wars Live (or Roaming Robots as it's called), Robots Wars S7, or both?
2) If it's just Roaming Robots, would you like me to post the pictures from the gallery on for you to see or just leave it?
First, welcome to the forums :)
Now for your questions:
1) There is a list of robots on the first page of this topic, so you can see every robot he's making.
2) I'm sure HB has access to all of the pictures he needs to make his replicas, since he has been in contact with the builders themselves for a while now.

Modifications / Re: Mortis-style AI Release
« on: November 13, 2014, 06:00:36 PM »
So how did you make this exactly ? just a whipper.py + spinner.py ?

i would have added a Frenzy.py to Omni but just my imput. Good work anyways, i've wanted to enter a mortis-like bot to an IRL tourney for a while.
Flipper.py + Frenzy.py. I took the stuff that controlled firing the flipper from the Flipper.py and added it to the Frenzy.py, along with making a few changes as well.

Modifications / Mortis-style AI Release
« on: November 13, 2014, 01:37:01 PM »
Here's an AI to use for Mortis style robots, using a frenZy style hammer with a burst motor flipper:

https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/7042Mortis py.zip

To use the AI you need the flipper's control to be a button called 'Flip' and the flipper smartzone to be called 'flip', and you need the hammer control to be an analogue called 'Hammer' with a smartzone named 'whipzone'.
The AI will use the burst flipper as a srimech.
So you don't have to make your own robot to test the .py I've packaged a demonstration robot, called Axon, and here is just a basic Bindings line for it:
Code: [Select]
list.append(("Axon","Mortis",{'invertible':False,'radius':0.1,'topspeed':100,'throttle':130,'turn':60,'turnspeed':2.5,'weapons':(15,)}))Obviously to use Axon you will have to add it to an AI team.
Massive thanks to Trov, without whom my code would never have actually worked :P

Is there one for a frenzy style axe and a burst flipper?
I just recently finished making one (with much help from Trov)! I'll post it soon, still got a couple of things to fix/make sure are fixed.

Oooh I like that system a lot. Simple looking, but I would never have thought of it. I might implement this in some of my own bots, if that's alright with you. I've been looking for a way to make axes look a little better without using the beta geared or similar.

That really does look good, and very realistic. So how does it work exactly?
Also, using a gif to show off a bot is an awesome idea.
