First off, welcome to GTM! So if I'm understanding you correctly you want to add the AI robots as playable robots in your team HQ? The easiest way would just be to copy and paste all of the robots from the AI folders into the 'Robot Designs' folder in the main RA2 directory, and import them one by one into a team whilst in-game (I'm assuming you know how to use the 'Import' button, but if not it's next to the Scrap Bot button when you select an empty robot slot in your team HQ). Since all of the robots are called Bot0, Bot1 or Bot2 you will have to rename the files when you paste them, which is tedious but easy enough. Let me know if I didn't explain anything well enough.

Do some work on the skins, and the last 4 robots you've made will be awesome. I like the designs a lot, but the skins let them down.

Video uploaded. (I hope this embeds properly...) I know I didn't really need to add that last match, but it looked for a split second Bernard might get the advantage when 5S,P went up in the air.

Welcome back, I had a look at your old showcase and your bots are very cool. So this is the same version you were trying to extract right? https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=5I've never had that error before so I'm not sure what's causing it. When I googled the error all of the results seemed to be about WinRar, so you could try using 7zip instead if you were using winrar before.

New robot, my take on the much repeated Warhead formula. Fairly quick build this one, so no fancy skin I'm afraid. And top view:

Dizzy looks cool. I actually like the flames, and the wheel-eyes are great. CW is probably the best for IRL-building since you can make decent-sized chassis with enough armor. Sometimes I have trouble using the weight on heavyweights for example.
This is pretty much my thoughts too.

Is there anything mechanically different between the tech demo and the final product?
Quite a lot is different, yes. The way the robots handle is fairly similar (although driving feels more sluggish and weapons feel more weighty in the demo compared to the full game in my opinion), but components cannot be broken off in the tech demo. The tech demo also only includes 3 robots prebuilt, none of which are AI'd. Nightmare, Yellow Buzzard and one other robot IIRC. You control the 3 robots with 3 separate sets of keys on your keyboard.

I think really he was talking about weapons, but still, that's what I would do to make components more usable.

Since I build pretty much exclusively IRL now I'd want to improve the components I just don't like the look of. Mostly the wheels in DSL, I don't like how a lot of them look. Also fixing the replica components so that they can actually be used on other robots would be my next idea, some of them have really horrible attachment points, collisions etc.

If you look at the 'Last Modified' date of the file and set it to that it should work fine. That's how I got it running, anyway.

I have some ideas about what causes this, but I don't think there's any way to fix it once it's already happened. I'll test some of my ideas out in a couple of weeks when I'm less busy.

I always paint the entire chassis white (so the exported background will be plain white) then paint every notable surface of the chassis a different colour then export the current texture
Very much this. On a simple box robot, for example, I would use the colour code of green for the front, blue for the back, cyan for the left side, pink for the right side, red for the bottom and yellow for the top. Also using decals in the botlab to give you an idea of where the edges of the sides are is very useful if you want to create a skin that has seamless stripes or whatever, for example Invidia in my custom showcase. I can't take any pictures right now, but you would just use the slot decals to plan where the stripes would go on the finished skin whilst still in the botlab. Same obviously goes for weapon/wheel slots, do them in the botlab and polish them up in paint.net.

A lunch box which I never put lunch in:
Wow, I completely forgot that existed! That was my lunchbox for ages.

Here's my minibots collection, taken from this thread: https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=16017.20 Ugh, camera problems meant I only just got the pictures I said I would take. Still, here they finally are. There were more minibots, but these are the only ones I own. I've also given my personal opinion on every minibot since I don't have a fancy website of my own to put them on :P
Chaos 2: Not a fan of this one really. Seems too thin and long, and the back isn't very detailed at all. Hypnodisk: Also not a fan of this one. The chassis is weirdly shaped, not rectangular like the actual robot. Just makes it look far too cute for one of the most destructive robots in Robot Wars. Pussycat: I dislike this one the most of them all. For a robot that's supposed to work all sides up the minibot is completely ruined by the stupid pullback function all of these minibots have. At least the disk turns around, unlike on Hypnodisk. Panic Attack: The paint and details are fairly nice, but suffers from the cuteness syndrome Hypnodisk has. Suicidal Tendencies: I like this one a lot. Painted nicely, and the claw actually moves.
Wheely Big Cheese: The wheels look pretty bad on this one, and again the pullback thing ruins a robot that was supposed to look the same either way up. RefBot: Quite nicely detailed and painted, although the face looks kinda dumb. Scores bonus points for having one of the arms move, and then immediately loses those points because the other arm does not move. Plunderbird 5: Claw is quite nice, and it's paint is fairly good, but the claw was unfortunately a bit flimsy, so is currently held on by superglue. Razer: The Razer logo is nicely painted, but no effort at all seems to have been put into painting the crushing beak. None of the holes in the crusher are there, and the eye is just a tiny dab of red paint. Also suffers from warped proportions due to cute-itus. Shunt: Not sure what I think about this one. The plows are done nicely enough, but the axe doesn't move, which is very disappointing. Also had some sort of antenna at some point, now lost forever.
Dead Metal: Very nice paint job, and a really nice mold, although seems a bit smaller than it should be. Scores points for using the pullback motor's wheel as the disk; if you're going to have a terrible action feature on your toy, then at least use it creatively. Wild Thing: Nice paint, and the disk even spins. I like this one a lot, but I'm not fond of the wheels that are part of the mold and painted on. Matilda: Painted very well, with pretty damn good detailing. The lifting forks actually lift as well, making this one of my favourites. Dominator 2: Simple but effective. Painted nicely, and the axe swings, although the spikes on the front of the chassis should go further back in the middle to be accurate. Mega Morg: My favourite out of all the minibots I own. The lifter actually lifts, and it has a very nice, bright paintjob, with the metal at the front done particularly well, in my opinion

Love the design, shame the skin was messed up. If it's on an axle mount does it get any kind of agod issues?

I don't know if it's relevant to your issue but I wouldn't overwrite the original gmf when you decompile it, or at least I don't. I'd make a separate copy called "3060flippermaker_decomp" or whatever. I remember either this (or possibly a similar issue) causing me problems in the past.

That SHW is fantastic, I love the shell plate back and the face especially.

Nigel Farage
who
Can't tell if it's a joke, I'll get a picture of him if you're serious.
Never heard of him.
He's an English politician, leader of UKIP (UK Independance Party). Given you don't live in Britain I'm not sure why the others expected you to know who he was.

Not bad at all, I like it. My only criticism is the lack of a slot for the spikes on the skin. If you were to add them you would probably have to rearrange the volume bars, but I think it would be worth it.
