3 minute fights. Masters Of Disaster Arena with hazards on. (Official Robot Arena 2 Tournament Arena. Was that really a surprise to you?) If a robot havoks then I will restart the match. I will keep restarting until there is a havok-free match. Fights with havoks will not be shown. The tournament will be broken into two stages. In the first stage, robots will be broken into eight groups of four. The four in each group will face each other twice, like a dual Round Robin format. 3 points for a win by knockout. 2 points for a win by points. 1 point for a loss by points. 0 points for a loss by knockout. The two highest scoring robots will advance through to the next stage. From here on out it is single elimination 'Best Of X' rounds. The winners of each group will face the runner up of the opposite group. (A/H, B/G, C/F, D/E) Round Of 16 - Best Of 3 Quarter Finals - Best Of 5 Semi Finals - Best Of 7 Grand Final - Best Of 9 The winner of the Grand Final is crowned the ultimate Master Of Disaster. 01. | A TRFBD, Oh Noes! | VS | Popup Cafe Extreme | 02. | A TRFBD, Oh Noes! | VS | Divine Intervention | 03. | Entropy 2.2 | VS | Counterproductive | 04. | Rare Birb | VS | Super Speedy Boi | 05. | Hangin | VS | Popup Cafe Extreme | 06. | Flipperdoodle | VS | Flawless Idea | 07. | Super Speedy Boi | VS | Grab And Grind | 08. | Super Speedy Boi | VS | Axexcellent | 09. | TITS | VS | Flipperdoodle | 10. | No Punts No Glory | VS | Eruption |

Roboteers Wanted! We are excited to announce that Robot Wars will be returning in May (TBC) this year. Last series we had some excellent applications and we would like to invite Teams from across the UK and beyond to enter with their heavyweight robots to take part in our new series. As well as heavyweights (110kg max, 4 team members max) for the series we would also like to invite applications from featherweight (13.6kg max, TBC max team members) teams. Roboteers are invited to apply in both weight classes if they wish and can also apply independently from a heavyweight team they are affiliated with. We are looking for new unique and innovative designs and even deadlier weapons to compete in our fierce robot fighting competition. Application forms can be downloaded here: http://www.robotwars.tv/media/1456/robot-wars-3-application-form.pdfOnce completed applications should be emailed to: Robotwars@mentorn.tv Applicants should send as much information about their robot as possible – Images, videos, diagrams, CAD renders etc. The more information you can provide about your robot, build, and team the better. We are currently reviewing the competition rules for heavyweights and featherweights and an update of the rules will be published on the www.robotwars.tv in the coming days. The closing date for the applications and record dates are currently TBC (but will be confirmed soon) Feel free to email us at the above email address with any further questions. See you in the arena! The Robot Wars Team TOURNAMENT FORMATWith the release of Robot Wars: The Official Handbook the format of Series Ten has been officially revealed. - Round 1: Group Battles: Two three-way battles are held in each heat, with only one outright winner, which will be decided by the Judges if necessary. The winner qualifies directly to Round 3, while the losers enter Round 2.
- Round 2: Redemption Round: The losers of the Group Battles face each other in head-to-head battles, and only the winner will remain in the competition. It is determined which robot will fight which through their performance in the Group Battle, as whichever robot finished second in one Group Battle will face the robot which placed third in the other Group Battle of the heat.
- Round 3: Semi Finals: Head-to-head battles between one winner of a Group Battle, and one winner of a Redemption Knockout. The winner qualifies for Round 5 (Heat Final), and the loser qualifies for Round 4 (3rd Place Playoff).
- Round 4: 3rd Place Playoff: A head-to-head battle between the two robots which lost in Round 3. The winner claims third place within the heat, and qualifies for Round 6 (Wildcard Battle).
- Round 5: Heat Final: The Heat Final between the two robots to remain undefeated in the episode. The winner of the Heat Final becomes the heat winner, and qualifies for the Grand Final directly, at the Round 7 stage. The loser is automatically placed in Round 6 (Wildcard Battle) alongside the third place finisher of the heat.
- Round 6: Wildcard Battle: All five robots to lose in the Heat Final, and all five robots to win in the 3rd Place Wildcard battle are placed into one ten-way battle with no time limit. The last robot standing will become the sixth competitor in the Grand Final.
- Round 7 Onwards: And after this, although not officially confirmed, the Grand Final will presumably play out in the same format as a Heat would.

RULESGame - DSL 2.2 Realistic Rule - IRL Weightclass - LW / MW / CW / HW 16 Teams (If you want to join forces with another member, go ahead. You can be on a maximum of two teams, regardless of how many robots you make in that team.) If you can't AI I will try my best to AI for you, just don't complain about it if your robot doesn't win. You can't enter until I have received and accepted your robot. BUILDING RULESRule Of Seven Break is allowed for this. Only in game glitches are allowed - eFFe Glitching, Axle Loading and Snapper Loading. No external editing at all - BFE, AAM and so on. (Except adjusting chassis height. You can do that in BFE.) Robots with tracks get no weight cushion. No scuttlers, crawlers or walkers. Multibots are banned. You can upgrade your robot or send a new one as much as you like until signups end. Nothing from Cheatbot2, you know that. You cannot have more than one of these on any robot, regardless of weightclass. Mechavore disc, Microvore disc, Moros blade, Frenzy hammer, Minion disc, and Overkill blade. The IRL packs that DSC has been making are allowed. Your team must consist of four robots who follow the same design principle. (All flippers, or all VS, or whatever. Imagine Pokemon evolution, but in RA2.) The team must have a LW, MW, CW, and HW. For the sake of team-ness, I'd prefer if they had similar names or paintjobs, or some sort of theme. No stupid names or stupid team names either. BATTLE RULES3 minute fights. What Doesn't Kill You Arena (Official Robot Arena 2 Tournament Arena. GEE WHO'D HAVE THUNK IT?) Hazards on. If a robot havoks then I will restart the match. I will keep restarting until there is a havok-free match. Fights with havoks will not be shown. Single eliminantion(ish) format. The winners of the Qualifiers (LW) go forward as normal to find the champion. The losers go backwards, with the winner of the subsequent rounds being eliminated, in order to find the loseriest loser. In both cases, the weight categories will start low, then go up with each round. The original Scrapheap Challenge was pitched virtually exactly two years ago. How about that, huh? RULESGame - DSL 2.2 Weight - Lightweight Realistic Rule - DSL Standard 32 entrants, but will extend if there's enough interest. (See battle rules.) Two entry robots per person per game. Only in game glitches are allowed - eFFe Glitching, Axle Loading and Snapper Loading. If you can't AI I will do it for you, just don't complain about it if your robot doesn't win. I haven't played RA2 for about 1000 years so I'm a bit rusty with AI stuff now. You can't enter until I have received and accepted your robot. BUILDING RULESLightweight-down class robots. Anything under 249.0kg. (I won't stop you entering an AW or a BW, but it's your funeral.) Only in game glitches are allowed - eFFe Glitching, Axle Loading and Snapper Loading. No external editing at all - BFE, AAM and so on. Robots with tracks get no weight cushion, as if anyone would use tracks for this. No scuttlers, crawlers, walkers, or SNS robots. Multibots are banned. You can upgrade your robot or send a new one as much as you like until signups end. Nothing from Cheatbot2, you know that. You MAY NOT use more than one of the same component on your robot, this includes all batteries, wheels, weapons, everything. This means that using 2 extenders of the same length IS NOT allowed, but using different lengths IS allowed. BATTLE RULES3 minute fights. Scrapheap Challenge Arena (Official Robot Arena 2 Tournament Arena with a totally boss skin.) Hazards on. If a robot havoks then I will restart the match. I will keep restarting until there is a havok-free match. Fights with havoks will not be shown. Single elimination bracket, head to head, no rumbles or melees. BATTLE AND FORMAT RULESMusic, artwork, results tables, etc, will be stolen from based upon the 2014 revival series with Sandi Toksvig, but will be edited a little. 1 minute fights. There will be a lot of them. Fifteen To One Arena (Official Robot Arena 2 Tournament Arena with a lame skin.) Hazards on. If a robot havoks then I will restart the match. I will keep restarting until there is a havok-free match. Fights with havoks will not be shown. The way I run the tournament will depend on how many entries I get. I will need the entries to be a minimum of 75 and then progress up in blocks of 15. (75, 90, 105, 120, etc.) Robots will be split up into the appropriate number of heats consisting of 15 robots in each.
Round One - Each competing robot is given a number from 1 to 15. - Each competing robot will start with 3 lives. - Each robot will face a robot made by me, they will face the same robot. - If they lose to my robot, then they lose a life. Win and they keep their lives. - Repeat this two times, meaning each robot will be guaranteed two fights. - If a robot loses both of it's two fights then it is eliminated from the tournament. - Robots which lost one or none of their fights go on to Round Two.
Round Two - The surviving robot with the lowest number will then choose (nominate in Fifteen To One terms) another robot to fight against. - The robot which loses the fight will lose a life. - The robot which wins will then nominate the next robot to fight against. - Once a robot loses all three of it's lives it is then eliminated from the tournament. - This cycle repeats until all but three robots are eliminated.
Heat Final - There will be a maximum of 40 fights. - The three finalists have their lives refilled to three. - The lives they had remaining are turned into points. (1 point per life.) - I will start with the robot I think has performed the best overall during the first and second rounds. - That robot will either take a question (fight one of mine) or nominate (fight) another person. - Winning a question or a nomination will earn you 10 points and you have next pick of question or nominate. - Losing a question or a nomination will mean you lose a life. - If you lose all three lives you are eliminated, and your score at that point will be put on the leaderboard. - If a robot is supposed to nominate a robot that has been eliminated then it will turn into a question for the robot in control. - Questions and nominations will continue, if there is only one robot left then it will face questions until it loses all its lives or all 40 fights are completed. - If all 40 fights are completed, each remaining life will be converted into 10 points and added to the total, and then will be put on the leaderboard. - Once all heats are done the 15 with the highest scores will go into the Grand Final.
Grand Final This will work the same as a heat but will contain heat finalists/high scorers/winners depending on the number of entrants. The robot that wins the final round will be declared the Fifteen To One Grand Champion. EPISODE LINEUPSHEATS1. Son Of Hurricane 2. Teknosaur 3. Screw Driver 4. Pikachu Face 5. Appledough 6. TNT 2 7. So as you know, all my tournament arenas have been reskins of the RA2T#2 Tournament Arena. I have kept them all as separate arenas and have had no issues at all with them until about an hour ago.
The five arenas that are affected are: Breaking Point Arena Keep Your Enemies Close Arena Powers Of Three Arena Scrapheap Challenge Arena Fifteen To One Arena
The problem is that when I play a match on one of these arenas the skin will load as normal, but when I switch to another of these arenas, it will display the floor skin from the first arena. Any ideas as to what could be happening?

When AI-ing a robot as Spinner.py or DirectionalSpinner.py is there a way to permanently keep the weapon spinning like it does when player controlled, instead of it turning on and off rapidly?
Edit: VertSpinner.py is permanently on, could I use part of that code?

Old thread deleted due to ungodly amounts of cringe. Plinkyde 2, second version of Plinkyde from A.R.B.B.C. 4 HPZ Chained VS, 16 Irons, 2 stacked Blacks, 4 HPZ Drive, DSA, 796kg. The 140cm and red extenders are used for stabilisers because it'll tip over easily. Keep or remove? did i dun gud?

I'm just going to pretend I know what I'm doing. Top one is Crater Creator, a mostly framework VS, it's a Heavyweight, 598-ish. Bottom is Dark Trauma which is a replica of a K'nex robot I built. It's a Cruiserweigh even with 10mm Steel, 298-ish. Both are invertible but they don't deal that much damage.

Congratulations to the grand winner... Kurt Wylde with Princess, Princess, Princess. Not it is time to dish out the awards to those who just didn't quite have the right robot or good fortune to win the tournament. Here is the link to the SBV thread for references. https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=16621.0Breaking And Entering - Best entry. Breaking Mirrors - Worst entry. Breaking A Leg - Luckiest Entry. Breaking Bones - Unluckiest Entry. Breaking Records - Best battle. Breaking My Heart - Most unexpected moment.
