Much better than your previous question. I can only assume that the DSL bots would either be extremely overpowered or incredibly weak, considering they're from two completely different mods.

The ads don't seem to affect the gameplay imo. As for the reporting and filter, this mainly seems to be them trying to get rid of trolls more than anything. I've been waiting for the report system to be implemented for a while now.
And I've found the solution to the filter...  Uncheck that. It seems that they re-enabled the chat filter on everyone's accounts when they implemented the new system. But there are still the several words that will get your account suspended if you try to use them too many times.

Brushless motors, the speed900, battery.... Welcome to the mod that mimics real life. The idea is that with the new components, we're educating the community with modern robotics. We've actually named them so you can look it up on hobbyking and buy it. My feather runs speed 900's on a tiny 6s lips and goes on forever.
Hit points and damage from flippers... the idea is that you can have a fair fight in terms with points. I can safely say no-one expected someone to use 8 of the twets.
What Reier said as well, the replicas have taken two years to make, the components only a week... let that sink in.
tl;dr - the mod is for promotional purposes only and was never meant to be the least bit realistic other than for "ERMAGERD RW REPLICAS".

It seems silly, I like seeing repeated "tarnation"s from everyone.
There's a bunch of funny replacements that I have found. Blowjob = premarital relations Vagina = rose Hitler = fopdoodle Nazi = townie Jizz = fusty Retard = zounderkite Nutsack = breeches I've got an entire list compiled of the banned and filtered words I've found. I've also found that the chat lags for about 3-5 seconds every time you send a message, which I assume has to do with the filter. Looks like they've also revamped the report system, which used to be completely pointless.  And there's also ads that pop up randomly in the middle of the game now.  At this rate, they're running off more players than they're pleasing.

So they've added a gay chat filter now.  Try to type one of the words that is banned and this pops up...  And you can do this five times before you get your account suspended for 24 hours.  Guess I will have to use one of my 10 other accounts today, since they still haven't fixed that particular issue. PM me if you want a list of the words I have found to be filtered or banned.
