Just remember that, really, people are bitching about the voters and not you or your bot.

Yeah I want to re-enforce this one too.. I have always said that BOTM was a black mark on the competition because voters chose giraffe just to spite the better entries not actually because they wanted it to win.

Even though he is edging closer to my record Im happy to see NFX win this one.. its kinda corrected the Giraffe BOTM win in which I think he should have won..

All in all, Hipstercams was a much better entry then Giraffe to, lets face it..

most custom AI's have notes written into the top of the files, so just pop them open in regular notepad and read what they do..

Discussion / Re: Offical Weightclasses
« on: July 29, 2012, 10:40:31 AM »
UHW is not open class. UHW is officially from 1200.1 to 5000.0 kg,

I wasnt born yesterday   Pretty sure the 5K limit was just set to not over push the game's limit and load times.

Anyway kinda getting off point..

Personally I dont see anything wrong with just

Quote
Antweight (AW) = 125 kgs
Beetleweight (BW) = 175 kgs
Lightweight (LW) = 249 kgs
Middleweight (MW) = 399 kgs
Heavyweight (HW) = 800 kgs
SuperHeavyweight (SHW) = 1200 kgs

As the official ones because except a maximum on SHW, they have been around longer then most of the active members on here..

Then do as you please for tournaments, ai packs, etc

FYI sage has made a typo with beetleweight in the original post "Beeteweight (BW)".

He also misspelled the thread title. "Offical".

Based on the different title in the posts after Sages first post, someone has messed it when editing it looks like.

But I fixed it now, its back to its original thread title

but you change UHW now and you need to bin a bunch of robots..

though I think "Giga Heavyweight" defeats the purpose of Ultra Heavyweight.. UHW being intended as an "Open class" or the old school SHW.. to freely go nuts

Myself and GK previously named it Cruiserweight, I plan to use it for the next Clash Cubes when I eventually get around to it..

Light classes are so close to each together already.. I mean 75kg isnt much between BW and LW

also it introduces a tighter minimum to the others..

I never really liked anything above SHW, I find 600kg fun to work with, its not really enough to make a HW design robot but its an extra 200kg to load up a MW design  thus why I tried to / still plan to try to innovate it.

So www.robotarena2.info now takes you directly to GTM instead, just to funnel any traffic...

Um... TRB.

After your last activity on GTM, it keeps you 15 minutes online and then it logs you out automatically. Sorry if I explained this poorly. I suck at describing.
Odd, that's never happened to me. Honestly, never!

That depends on your forum and browser settings..

However, after a period of inactivity it appears to stop counting and stops showing you in the "Whos online" section

On the old forum I used to be top of the list because I just left the site minimised for whole days but dropped off the top active list when we changed to SMF..

Motors only om nom nom 100 power each and 1 black gives you 800 output..  :gawe:

Elect total would be the only worry but matches tend to not last long enough to be a dramatic match changer anyway..

« on: July 21, 2012, 10:30:37 PM »
I have been going my memorability and innovativity for my list. If a robot was memorable, or innovative I considered it. I dunno why you guys are all like "OMG let's constrict the list to the best of the freakin best".

^ This ^

I vote it gets renamed to just "Robots that shaped the history of RA2" and dont worry amount a number limit

New Designs, Trending Designs, Inovation, New Glitches, etc

"The Top 100 RA2 Bots of All Time" Means something completely different, that would be effective fighters, best built robots.. its like the Nominated Ranks for robots

Seriously, don't nominate good bots just so the list fills up to 100. Even if it's less than 50, but RA2's "culture" would be different without them, I'd say that's already a great list.

Agreed, I already said we should bin the number limit/ max..

fixed.

You butchered that list something awful :/
