I think I may dismantle everything I've got so far and start afresh, I'm dry out of ideas of what to do and where to go next to put it bluntly. Birthday's soon, no specific date as you don't know what kind of pedophiles there are out there. But anyway, for my birthday I will probably get a bit of spending money and maybe try and get a table in my room so I can actually work on stuff in my room and not have to leave things rotting out in the garage as there is no way to put them anywhere. I will have some spare as well so I am going to get some new things. Also, I have studied a bit more in computer science and they have recently taught us about machine code, so hopefully that will come in handy.
Update over chaps
Just fyi you mention your age in the very first post of this. Also, hop on the beetleweight train, it's not much more expensive than a decent antweight and is a nicer size to work with. Or just stick with the ants and go for better construction with your next one. I'm always on skype if you need help with anything bot wise.
Heh, I was a naive little bu*** :') Beetle weights are a good idea, only problem is the lack of tools in my garage and the lack of space but apart from those two things I'd love to get into making one.

You did a pretty good job with the texture, it's just a little low-res for my tastes. You have weight, you couldn't do some faux piston extenders with it?
faux? Oui oui monsieur (Even though I took French, I was about to type a French sentence but I can't translate many words :V) love that
Cheers

Ha, 1 public exam and 2 months later = post regularly? So yes, erm, hi, not been on in a while and I got a tiny bit of interest in making a new bot, oh RA2 and your wicked ways Tried and failed to make a fake piston skin with it: And Insides:

Skin's a bit eww, but the overall design of the bot looks pretty gnarly. Is it possible to add a front wedge?
Ehhh, I'll try His big brother says hi
[img]http://i.gyazo.com/4ced88b687e49ea28b14fb40c95935fd.png[/img Looks cool though. Not entirely sure about the change in axe material halfway along or the skin, but nice otherwise.
Rule of 7, mang, I could BFE it, but there just aren't enough hours in the day tbh Can't think up a skin, and I gtg and do physics revision, so I'll skin it later

(Sorry for a bump) (Image removed from quote.)
So, where are us Brits going?
Will definitely be at Portsmouth, hoping to get to Newport and Guildford too. Maidstone... possibly. (Note this list doesn't include any Robots Live events - I'll be at at least Burgess Hill of theirs)
Maidstone and Colchester are my best bets, hopefully I can go to both

New butt Aspire, tite 3, BFE'd axe to go near enough 180 degrees, also needs a skin Thoughts?

(Stopping the big quote wall) spectrum 128k basic has most of those, iirc ruby has some of those, and a few other programming languages have those iirc.
Well I'd be happy to volunteer to find out! :V

scratch is awful and is only good for comedy value
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/25652686/
Errr... No, some people have made games with insane detail, have you used the operator, variable and add-on functions?
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/16743509/
Plus I did say it was for newbies who want to get used to python, the functions are very simalar
>flappy bird >insane >2015
i dont find this similar to python at all
If statements When statements Variables DEF functions Booleans (Actually called that in scratch) Operating functions (when, +, -, *, /, or, and etc) Waiting functions (different code in python, but ) The rest are visual elements, but bearing in mind visual elements make up 10% of all the coding in games

the is barely "sh" in the german language. we use sch for the same sound. so if you want to name it Pain in german it would be Schmerz
/professor mode
I just realized I Bleeped up the skin, that is actually it's name:

Pretty sure most of you have heard of it, if not, it's a visual programming language, so again I had no idea where to put it, and I don't know whether there's an existing thread as well http://scratch.mit.edu/Got a few projects of my own under way, in fact I have a test to create a good scratch game (10 hour assignment ) Very similar to python code, so for newbies it's a good starting point

what language is this?
German, I swear you should be able read this, unless either you're trolling me or google translate is rubbish not bad
K I like it
could do without the ant saw tho, but eh
I like the sides with the pole spikes, very nice
DSL 3 axle extenders actually Can't replace the ant saw due to the collision mesh of the dsl3 saws Ant saws are a horrible waste of weight. I mean they are so useless as weapons it becomes funny.
I like it in it's simplicity, a small sawblade/chewblade wound be nice but I'm afraid the bot's too short for that.
So I'll just say put a flamethrower on it.
Flamethrower is actually a good idea, maybe... just maybe...

Entering, bit dissapointed that it's an enclosed arena though

Bit too light to actually stand up to other middleweights IMO

Bland ahoy Another google translate name thing, took me awhile to sort out the sides and saw. I did make a custom skin but it looked ghey and stupid, actually inspired by one of those crap RW:AOD ai bots Tite 1 Thoughts?

I love it
Looks astounding, and its name is Bee. Google translate, female dogs!
Nice job, this is probably one of your better bots actually.
great bot, probably the best ive seen from you.
It's neat.
Woah, Thanks a lot, the only problem now is that I don't even know how to follow up, I need some insane inspiration to help me make a bot even on par with this one It's nice. You could line the scoops up a little better though, by the looks. Is there anywhere you can use some of that weight?
1. Unfortunately I can't, when a judge burst is rotated, the joints are on different heights, basically this: 2. Done, thanks to lemonism, added another set of NPC fasts, drives like a bat out of hell Looks really nice. That second picture made it look like you'd bfe'd it, but I think that's an optical illusion from the skin.
I think could have done with 4wd though, it looks like you've got the chassis room for it too. Weight shouldn't be that much of an issue either. Other than that and my usual complaint of "HD skins are nicer" it's really cool.
1. Yup, done and dusted 2. Ah, the classic lemonism comment, I just can't make them HD Erm, so, I'm dry of ideas, any help?
