I'm still maining Meta Knight. Not doing too badly all things considered. Still screw up and freefall to my death a lot because why would he grab a ledge when he is only overlapping with it? Mainly get kills from up+Bing people off the top of the screen.
Love that up b move.

Up+B and down+B are quite good, neutral B is quite good for catching projectile users off-guard, side+B is pretty bad unless you are accurate or not near an edge. The final hit pushes you away from the enemy if it hits, but the hitbox can be a bit iffy and you can snap off the enemy for no good reason and just go straight off the edge with very little chance of recovery. I know that his back aerial attack is a kill move at a certain percentage, but it is also quite difficult to hit with (see also: I am bad at videogames). The only problem is that I forget that other characters don't have five jumps and so I sometimes do stupid things when playing classic.

New Maiden song.

It's rather good, all things considered.

The music in Etrian Odyssey: Untold is pretty sexy. The Sandy Barrens battle music stood out quite a bit, but the rest is rather good too.

PC Masterrace.

The glorious multiplatform master race are far better than tunnel-visioned fanboy peasants.

I've played a bit of Splatoon, did the Splatfest, and found that I rather like the paintbrush weapon, but I've been playing other games recently. I wasn't going to get it so soon, but I realised I had £16 of eShop credit, so I just went 'welp, may as well download it'.

Got this a little while ago.

Mainly because there are a few songs I wanted and it hasn't been on UK Spotify for ages.

I use stealth more often than not

pffff girly

Hmph, barbarian.

Melee Weapons and Unarmed are the best weapon skills.

Big Guns and Energy Weapons are OK because they have some nice toys in it. But less viscerally satisfying (and not to mention less manly) than the two above.

And I suppose it is ok if you use stealth to kill opponents in melee, like a ninja. Otherwise...

I almost always go for stealth melee. Sure I always have ten pistol, five assault rifles, three rocket launchers, two gatling lasers and 1500 pencils, but I never use them, I just walk around getting annoyed at being overencumbered. I wonder if they will give you the option to kill children at the cost of a perk in this one.

Eurovision ballad contest is over for another year. Seriously, is it just me, or did half-three quarters of the songs there just blend into one-another? And our song this year just seemed a bit tryhardy if I'm honest. 'The thing that won the past few years has been some catchy upbeat bulls***, let's make something like that.'.

Maybe I'm just salty that they didn't have any rock songs this year. I did quite like Georgia's and Armenia's songs though.
Punk doesn't count?

Which was the punk song?

The guys with real attitude.

Ah, I was talking specifically about the songs on the night, I don't really listen to any of the Song for Eurovision (or whatever it is called) stuff.

Existing Games / Re: Steam now allowing paid mods
« on: April 27, 2015, 02:23:06 PM »
As a pure concept, I agree with it, some of these things can fix what the devs couldn't be bothered to fix or give many more hours of entertainment to an otherwise dead game. The problem is that the original dev gets the lion's share of the money which could mean that the devs could basically use it as indirect DLC (release a game unfinished, have modders finish it, get money from mods).

Of course, the other problem is the fact that, considering some of the stuff that gets sold on Steam (largely broken rubbish that the indie people will never bother to fix properly/are incapable of fixing properly), it won't be too... well, it's already happened with horse genitals, but it won't be long before the whole scene is filled with people making terrible (possibly broken, possibly made from stolen assets) mods, selling them for lots of money, and then getting money for them.

In all honesty, I think that a pay what you want system would work better. Sure, you will always get the people that go 'if I don't have to pay anything, I'm not going to pay anything', but there are plenty of people that will drop £10 here and there, and then you get the ones that just seem eccentric with how much they will donate to people who make things that they like.
