Real Robotics Discussion / What are these robot toys called?
« on: December 19, 2013, 03:17:14 PM »
Sorry if this is wrong section, but the BattleBots Minibots thread was here so why not?

Does anyone know what the robot toys in these images are called? (not the battlebots, the orange and blue ones) Used to have them as a kid and been looking for them for years:
The only thing I seem to remember from them were the masses of interchangeable parts. I've been searching for years trying every possible search combination and not even finding an image until just now.

Real Robotics Discussion / Robot Wars - Who fought who
« on: July 23, 2013, 09:34:42 AM »
Well, I made this because I was starting to get annoyed at all the 12 year olds out there that were saying: "oh my gawd Razor todally fought Hypno Disk in series 2 and Hypno Disk broke down lolololol" so I took the 20 biggest all-star robots and made a table to show who fought what and who didn't.

A couple notes first though:

Custom Components Showcase / AlexGRFan97's ARC Replica Thread
« on: July 20, 2013, 01:22:39 PM »
So, you may have known that a while back I began making ARC replicas? Well, here are the first four, one from each weightclass. I won't bother posting insides for now, as there's about a billion custom components inside every robot. I have got more made since I uploaded these images, but I'm keeping them inside my copy of DSL3 for now. Also, please note that only two of these robots' skins are finished. However, if anyone could give me clean versions of Revolver Ocelot's logo and Agressive Blood Cell's paintjob I would be happy.

LW: Agressive [sic] Blood Cell
MW: Holy Kahuna
HW: Revolver Ocelot
SHW: TVW

DSL TC Showcases / AlexGRFan97's craptacular DSL showcase
« on: December 10, 2012, 11:12:27 AM »
Well, where to start this. I think I might begin by leaving my second piston-flipper test here, armed with 3mm Titanium which I have named the unfortunate name of "MW02", which stands for "MiddleWeight Dioxide". Doesn't make sense I know. It can cheat compete rather competitively with nearly all of the Realism AI bots, all of the stock AI bots, most of the DSL bots, and a few token LWs and MWs from NAR AI. No points for guessing what real robot it's based on.

Also, those horns actually have a purpose. When I'm under another robot, they can tear into it's underside and score points.

Discussion / True Pneumatic flippers?
« on: December 09, 2012, 05:09:16 PM »
Well, you see, I had a brainwave today of putting flipper segments on the end of a piston and firing it, trying to make a true pneumatic flipper. It does work exactly how I expected it, except it can't self-right. It does flip robots quite high though, and is in the BotExchange for DSL LWs. Now I'm asking, is there a way to truly master the art of making a CO2 powered weapon that isn't a ram?

General Support / Am I doing something wrong here?
« on: October 20, 2012, 05:56:59 AM »
Ok, sorry to be a noob again but does Lu-Tze's Compiler work in Windows 7 64 bit? I try to decompile a .cfz file but when it says "done" nothing has changed. Am I doing something wrong with the program or is it incompatible with my OS? I can provide screenshots if you'd like.

General Support / How to replace a robot's preview image?
« on: October 14, 2012, 05:41:39 AM »
Sorry for being a noob and if this is in the wrong section, but I would like to know how to replace a robot's preview picture manually, with, let's say a photo of the real robot. How would I go about doing it? Does it need to be a certain resolution? Do I need to edit lines in the .bot file? I'm pretty sure FB has done something like this with his Killer Bee series.
