so basically i went to https://www.random.org/ and each bot was given a number between 1 and 100. robots with the lowest 4 numbers would fight, then the next 4 lowest, then the next 4 lowest, then the 4 highest. here are the results of the RNG: FataL 2 (3) Overpop (12) Tough Love 2 (13) Kill Me Again (14) i ran out of bot names (26) Whats a stock (50) Gone Fishing (56) Jabberwock (59) danged (64) VictimiZer (64) Blazing Stripes 2 (78) Mr Meany (79) Drumblebee 10 (81) Caroobon Ice (92) 48 claws (92) Gravatic Reversal 7 (93) reminder: seeding consists of two matches. the first is to determine a general area a robot will be seeded in, and the second is to determine the specific seed against other bots in that area.

Building Rules: -HW Stock 1.4 -No BFE/AAM/Hax Mode/etc. -Ro7 break is allowed. All other uses of RA2CF are not -Bots that have their drive designed to break off and SnS bots are banned. Multibots are also not allowed due to tournament seeding format. -All robots must show controlled movement via at least two powered wheels -AI parts/140cm extender/blue snapper/etc. are allowed -Recolored components are allowed. If you use them, let me know which pack they're from. Do not recolor components yourself unless you've already made them available to the public. -No cheatbot2 -After sending your robot to me, you may update it only once, and only before signups close. Tournament Format: -1v1 single elimination main bracket. Any bot that gets knocked out of the main bracket will still be able to compete in a losers round with the same format as Revolution 2, minus the lives system - it's just survive to the end (reminder on that system: two bots fight, the winner stays in to fight another bot, the winner of that stays in to fight another bot, etc until only one bot is left). The order the bots enter will be based on seeding. Here's a visual representation of the bracket: -16 entries (1 bot per person) -Virus Bomb is allowed two entries if he wishes (from winning Revolution 2) -Arena will be a reskinned DSL Blade Arena with the arena hazard toned down. -3 min time limit, Bo3 matches in main bracket except for the final, which will be a Bo5 -Seeding will be done by randomly splitting the robots into 4 different 4-way rumbles. Depending on how they do in those initial rumbles, they will be placed into another rumble to determine their rank. Here's another picture of text to explain: -Havok restarts will only be done if the havok explosion is game-changing (as the host, I will determine what is considered game-changing). Any robot that causes a havok restart twice within the same round will lose their match / be eliminated / get last in their rumble, if the havoks happen during the seeding rounds. Other: -I can AI, but it is preferred that you do it yourself. That being said, no cheaty AIs. If I AI your bot, you may not complain unless I have made an obvious mistake. -No meltybrain.py -Signups will be for two weeks OR until 16 entries are filled. -I may extend signup period by a week if needed, but do NOT count on this happening. If you are interested in this tournament, please enter as soon as you are able. -I will be entering ONLY if all 16 spots are not filled by the end of two weeks, and I will compete with this: - Please keep your robot names/skins family friendly. I have the right to reject any robot that doesn't. - PRIZE: This will probably be my last tournament, so I want to make it count for whoever wins. The prize for first place is a $20 Steam gift card code! 2nd place will get a $5 steam code. for those concerned: yes, this code is legit. i've gotten multiple codes from ebonus.gg before. I checked with geese on this a few months ago and he said this was fine, but if things have changed since then, let me know and I'll see if there's something else I can come up with for the prize. For certain bots in the bot exchange, this happens when I try to download them: (name censored because this is a tournament entry) For some reason this only happens with certain robots; I think it might just be happening for robots that have been added after the bot exchange was updated. At first this was just happening with one of Pwn's bots but then it happened with a bot from Mr.AS as well. Anyone know what's going on here? Apparently others can download these bots just fine, but I'm having problems.

Building Rules: -MW Stock 1.4 -No BFE/AAM/Hax Mode/etc. -Ro7 break is allowed. so dsl 2.2 is pretty cool mw wedge: rebuild of Into the Clouds, now with rims. i wanted to use one of the new burst motors, but i have to stick with a judge burst because nothing else is powerful enough while letting me keep the flipper design. mw hs: Toxic Slash 2. same as my gtm rw entry, just with a shorter blade and different wedge lw wedge: Push & Shover. has small nightmare teeth for damage lw vs (top): Wire Slicer. took off the back wedge and made the front ones a bit bigger hw wedge: Grey Area. was going to be my gtm rw entry, but then i read the rules. wedges are on burst motors, but don't raise very high shw hs: Blackout. battleaxes are pretty strong bw saw: Bzzzt. basically the same as before, but wanted to show it off because the new saws look cool mw saw: Trapped. skirts are on an axle mount hw rammer: Steel Beast. took off the wedge and gave it other stuff. there's a srimech inside it somewhere bw hammer: Sudden Force. i like these new bursts lw vs (bottom) Ram Rat 2. wanted to use a pussycat blade, but it sucked so i just stuck a minion disk on instead hw hammer: The Thing that Should Not Be. going to be my entry for badnik's tournament; will probably build a mw for that as well some time i'm probably going to reskin some of these, but idk what to have them look like. any ideas?

Welcome to Ironbot Jr. - mostly same as the original Ironbot from four years ago, but now having lightweights with a division for Stock, DSL, and Ironforge (no bracket relation between the three) with some other minor rule changes. If you don't know, the goal of Ironbot was not necessarily to win matches, but to keep your bot as in-tact as possible, as once you lost a component (with a couple exceptions), it was gone for the rest of the tournament. -Stock, DSL, & Ironforge Lightweight (no bracket relation between the three) -All bots must have damaging weapons -Bots without active (moving) weapons must use the "Ram" or "Charge" tactics such that they repeatedly ram the opponent rather than pin them. If a bot did have active weapons but loses them, it must switch to the Ram or Charge tactic. -All robots must show controlled movement via at least two powered wheels -Popups, multibots, bots that have their drive designed to break off, and SnS bots are banned (that last one is up for debate, please let me know if you think I should change this) -AAM, BFE, Hax Mode, cheatbot2, custom components etc. are banned. Reskinned components are allowed if neccessary, but it's still preferred you use plain components -Your bot must be built entirely by you. This may seem like common sense to most, but I'm just putting it here to avoid anyone entering a bot they found in an AI pack or something -Any AI using meltybrain will be banned. If you submit a bot with such AI, it will be accepted, but I will change the bot's bindings.
STOCK: -140 cm extender, blue snappers, AI parts etc. are allowed -Up to two casters per bot -DSA is allowed, but any stronger armor is not (such as double-strength titanium and steel, as found on some stock AI bots) DSL: -DSL-Realistic rule applies -Narmor is banned -flail-enhancement is banned -Any component with over 10000 hp is banned. Allowed plows are limited to two per bot. Firestorm flippers are also limited to one per bot, and cannot be used on any bot using plows. Halfsheets placed directly to the chassis are also limited to one per bot, and stock casters are banned. IF: -DSL-Realistic rule applies -Heater plows are banned. Allowed plows limited to two per bot. -You are allowed to add up to four ballasts to you bot which will not add to your weight limit, as is Ironforge -At the beginning of the tournament, all the bots are randomly paired off in 1 vs. 1 fights. In the following round, the winners and losers will be separated into two groups. All the bots in each group are randomly paired off and fight. This process repeats for all the following rounds. In this way, the same two bots will never fight two rounds in a row. If there are an odd number of bots in both groups, the bots remaining after pairing off will fight if they didn't already fight in the previous round. If they did fight in the previous round, the bots are randomized over again. If there are an odd number of bots total, the bot in the loser's group with the most damage gets a bye. -Matches will last 30 seconds. Larrain has been kind enough to supply me with a .py for the arena that automatically ends matches after 30 seconds. -Any components that break during a match are permanently lost for the rest of the tournament. All other damage not resulting in a break is reset between fights. -Bots are eliminated when they are either KO'd, or are reduced to 1 or 0 wheels. It doesn't matter how many match wins or losses a bot gets as long as it isn't KO'd or de-wheeled. All bots get one spare control board, which allows them to be KO'd once without being eliminated. They also get a number of spare wheels equal to what they start with (I'm being a little more lenient than Click here because realisticly no one will enter a serious bot with more than two wheels into a lightweight tournament). Spare wheels are used immediately after any wheels are lost in a fight, and unpowered wheels on axle mounts do not count toward the number of spare wheels you get, but they can be moved in case the powered wheels break. -If a wheel is attached to another external component (such as a drive motor or an extender), and that component breaks, a spare wheel will allow the replacement of any components that are necessary to re-attach the wheel. Any other components attached to the broken component not necessary for the attachment of the wheel are lost. For any bot that has more than 2wd, if it loses wheels such that the drive becomes asymmetrical and it can't drive straight, the wheels will be rearranged so that it can drive straight. For any bot with 4wd or higher, if there are an odd number of wheels remaining, one of them will be unpowered so that the bot can drive straight. -If a bot has vertical spinning weapons and it loses some weapons, the remaining weapons will be arranged in order to keep the bot as balanced as possible. -As soon as there are four or fewer bots remaining, they will engage in a final fight to the death. This will pit all remaining bots against each other in a rumble, with no time limit. -Unlimited entries -You are allowed to update any bot of yours ONCE and only once before signups close; afterwards, no robots may be changed. -Signups will be open for one week only, however I may extend this time period if neccessary (I want at least eight robots per division). -I can AI, but it is prefered that you do so. That being said, no cheaty AI. -I will be entering all divisions. Here are my bots: -Winners of each division will get an automatic spot into my next tournament and a copy of my AI pack if they want it -Arena will be the Compressor Arena with new starting points and more damaging arena spikes -Havok explosions are ignored unless a bot is stuck in the arena, thrown into a hazard, flipped to where it cannot get up, etc. such that it loses components that otherwise wouldn't be broken, in which case the match is restarted. There is no penalty for causing Havok explosions, with the exception being the fight to the death, in which a robot will be eliminated for causing a game-altering havok more than once (see conditions above for what "game-altering" is). I've been trying to edit the starting points of an arena and everything has mostly been going fine, but any components on snappers too close to the ground seem to glitch for some reason. Even weirder, this only happens in ports 1 and 4; 2 and 3 are perfectly fine. *GMID_ATTACHMENTPT { *NODE_NAME Startpoint 1 *NODE_TM { *NODE_NAME Startpoint 1 *TM_ROW0 -1.000000 0.000000 0.000000 *TM_ROW1 0.000000 1.000000 0.000000 *TM_ROW2 -0.000000 0.000000 -1.000000 *TM_ROW3 10.000000 0.300000 10.000000 } USER DATA type = startpoint id = 1

G.K. sent me his bots for my tournament Plan B, but his stock bot crashes my game whenever I try to load it in the bot lab. At first I thought it was the smartzones, but then he sent me a version without smartzones and it still crashes, even when trying to load it into multiple different copies of stock 1.4. He says he's had it working on different computers, so does anyone know what the problem could be? Here's the bot (no SZs): https://gametechmods.com/Robot_Exchange/HW/GK_Bot%20no%20sz.bot

I've been trying to use this tutorial to mod the combat zone, but when I tried to edit the arena collision to make it bigger and have a shorter roof, nothing happened. Here's the GMF: *MESH_VERTEX 0 -20 -2.264982 -18 *MESH_VERTEX 1 20 -2.264982 -18 *MESH_VERTEX 2 -20 -2.264982 22 *MESH_VERTEX 3 20 -2.264982 22 *MESH_VERTEX 4 -20 3 -18 *MESH_VERTEX 5 20 3 -18 *MESH_VERTEX 6 -20 3 22 *MESH_VERTEX 7 20 3 22 Is this because I'm using notepad++ (vs Serge's compiler), or is there something else going on?

The point of this tournament is to get both heavily stock and heavily DSL builders to enter. The idea is this: each competitor will build a stock and DSL bot. Whatever the weight of one robot is subtracted from 1200 is the maximum weight of the other (DSL-stock multibot under 1200 Kgs, DSL robot can be standard or IRL despite the fact that you're much better off going with standard). Once all competitors are entered, the stock bots will fight first. However, the stock fights will only be twenty-five seconds each. If there is no KO, the DSL bots will fight a standard, three minute match. If there is a KO in the stock class, the DSL bots will not fight. This allows you to really stratagize. Do you want to obliterate your opponent in the stock class so there's no chance for them in the DSL class? Do you want to hope that you survive the destruction in stock so you can get revenge in the DSL class? Do you want to make your robots evenly matched? It's entirely up to you. Rules-Stock/DSL SHW multibot (see above) -Minimum weight for each bot is 175 Kgs -Multibots (per division) are not allowed. -25 second stock matches first, then three minute DSL matches if there is no KO in the stock portion of the match. -Usual glitches are allowed in stock, but BFE, AAM, Hax Mode etc. are not allowed. -I can AI, although it's preferred that you do it yourself (that being said, no cheaty AIs). If I AI your robot, you may not complain about any AI errors unless I have made an obvious mistake. -Cheatbot2 and custom components are not allowed. In stock only, you may use the blue snapper and 140cm extenders. -Robots without controlled movement are banned. Both your stock and DSL bots must have two powered wheels driving the robot fast enough that the robot could not be immobilized on its own. -1v1 (person) single elimination. -8 people can enter. -Arena will be a the Compactor Arena for stock and the Electric Arena 2 for DSL (both with hazards off). -Any game-altering havoks (I will judge what "game-altering" is) will be reset if they only happen once. Any robot causing this twice is automatically eliminated. -Winner gets an automatic spot in my next tournament and top 2 will be the first to try my AI pack. -G.K. gets a free spot if he wishes since he won my last tournament. -I will not be entering. -It is preferred you have some sort of (appropriate) theme and team name. You don't have to, but if you don't, I'll give you one. SIGNUPS: 1. G.K.2. RedAce3. Thrackerzod4. Sircreepalot25. 0909016. Mechadino7. Mr.AS8. rnifnuf( Blue=received, Green=Ready, Red=problem)

I was trying to delete some of the old topics I made in the technical support board, but then this showed up. Why is that? I mean I'm not entirely sure how anything I made would help anyone.
