Hey everyone! I am back (and currently stuck on a macintosh)! Some cool things that are happening is that I am now back in New York and I'll be attending the Fredonia School of Music in their Sound Recording Program! I'll be using bootcamp or whatever in order to get my RA2 fix, and I have a ton of ideas for future builds! I see that there are some awesome new members, I cannot wait to get to interact on this awesome site again!

Should be a very nostalgic time lapse of epicness. Rules... Post a song from the 90's Aaron Carter is forbidden. So is Britney Spears. I'll Start You cannot talk 90's without starting with Smash Mouth... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQj--Kjn0z8&ob=av2e#

Somehow all of the tournaments and showcases are now a part of one big subforum instead of the dedicated subforum.

Post your favorite forum quotes or moments from the past year (doesn't have to be ra2 related)Mine would have to be the "Red Extender Debate" against Sage as well as the rising of the Pony Avatars.

Now that there is a new "motor on top" deal going on, I would like to know how to enable all the attachment points on the Perms as well as the E-Tek.

I believe we should have strict guidelines just like in real world bot building but for the IRL building style of DSL. For now this would be for suggestions and I'll edit it once I am satisfied. Building Rule Ideas: -Heavyweights and Middle Weights must have armor that is greater than 1mm thick. -Horizontal and Vertical Spinners must either have a Motor in the inside of the chassis or an outer mounted motor that must have adequate adjacent supports (judged by users) -Bottom Armor must use upside down anchors -Heavyweight and Middleweight bots must have "big batteries" or a "connected ant battery system" (ant batteries close to each other) -The control board cannot be placed where Motors or any other object would cut the "wires" off from the batteries. -Flails are only allowed with extenders of any kind and small concussion weapons (beater bars) -No jugglers, face spinners, popups, crawlers or any kind of gut ripper -SnS's MUST use melty brain AI (Provides controlled movement and gives the other opponent a fair chance) -No Door Hinge Wedges -IRL Robots entered in tournament MUST have a "Sponsor" indicator -Trov Glitch IS allowed -.BOT file editing can be used to make the chassis thinner as long as it is still realistic -Limit to two flamethrowers per robot -Flamethrowers must be concealed inside the chassis or in a manufactured container (Hoses could be cut in battle otherwise) -The Judge Burst and Lifter Burst ARE allowed (Limit 1 per bot) -There must be at least 1 CO2 Tank and a Small Buffer Tank in a judge burst flipper (high pressure flipper) -To prevent control issues, the chassis in a shell spinner must be stable (not spinning in circles) -Robots cannot start with their weapons on the ground (flippers are an exception) -Tank Tread Robots get a 200 kg Weight Advantage -Walkers and Shufflers get a 400 kg Weight Advantage -MultiBots must be within 75 kg of each other
Be my guest to request change in the rules or even add rules.

Closest board to put in. What do you think about the discovery of sub nano particles 60 billionths faster than the speed of light traveled to Italy/

With this... You may remember it as the "Switchblade" from CES... but there are a few main differences. -NVIDIA got on board with the graphics (Essential) -Intel went from an Atom Processor to the Second Gen Core i7 Sandy Bridge Processor (Another Essential Change) -Is now less than a inch thick (Awesome) -The Keyboard was changed from an Optimus Maximus style keyboard to a Backlit keyboard with 8 programmable LCD Backlit Shortcut Keys -The Touchpad is also a second 800X480 Pixel Multitouch Display (WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!) -They bumped the display from 7 inches to 17.3 inches (I am kinda bummed about this one, since I wanted a budget-ish device) -Under 7 Pounds Other things include... -USB 3.0 -Switch Blade UI overlay to Windows 7 (Awesome Enhancements) -No more tacky touch screen monitor (Glad to see that gone - A $2799 Pricetag I personally LOVE Razer's products, I use their Onza Xbox Controller, their Mamba Mouse, their Chimaera 5.1 headset (way better than Turtle Beaches), and their Lycosa Keyboard. All great quality products. The price is just too steep and I also believe that they should of went with the Netbook form factor to make it more different and alot less pricey for the consumer. All in all, this is a dream that I won't be getting... sadly.

Everyone should know I already have bad ideas about freezie's tournament, now we know he accepted multiple "Placeholder Bots" not only is this cheating other people who happen to be more productive out of a tournament, but also is showing how people take competition. I would like to create a ban on placeholder's, if you are too lazy to build a bot in advance or are too lazy to build a bot before all entries are in then that sucks for you. I think we'd all benefit from this.

Well it seems a heated debate has sparked in the Showcases, over multiple showcases. So here is a simple poll, Beta's, JX, JX Smalls, or BSG's. I'm leaving out Mag's for obvious reasons. And so we can stay on topic in our showcases, please keep the debate in this thread.

So, I am now obsessed with any good free or Indie game I can get my hands on. I shall do a review of one about each week. Today is about Tag: The Power of Paint Some may know that this game inspired the Repulsion, Propulsion, and Conversion Gel in Portal 2. Sponsored by the same website (DigiPen) giving Student developers chances to go big, like Narbacular Drop also known as the original "Portal" This Game is free so don't be afraid to download it. https://www.digipen.edu/studentprojects/tag/As you start, you are greeted with a creative approach to a 3d start screen that you can spray paint with, which is AWESOME. Gameplay is simple. Paint your bland canvas urban surroundings to get your "Blob" goal point. Some times gameplay is a bit jerky, but it is fine for the fact that you are getting an original platforming game for free. Try it yourself! 5/5

Well since my avatar didn't work anymore I decided to get a better and a free solution to create animated gifs. Now on every single page on cnet it pledges that their downloads are malware and spyware free. Well isn't that nice cause now my laptop is again a paper weight. And now the recovery manager ceases to work. If I were you id stay out o cnet. This was typed on my Droid.
