I mean as in, they make renders of robots as well, but they don't get told that nobody cares about what they make.
Because they don't try making a point about it saying that's why they should be respected.
Not the reason, mind. But in this case, it's more convincing people to have a look and judge for themselves rather than not doing so and immediately dismissing them with something of an "It's ARC, therefore irrelevant" mindset, really.

Because they simply post it in the appropriate thread and leave it at that. You felt the need to announce it in the chatbox.

Let's put it this way, only a handfull of people give a sh** about ARC renders. Those that don't participate in ARC don't want to see sh** about ARC post all over GTM. We've already dealt with it from Badnik and a few others. It really is nothing personal.
Thing is though, that's exactly what I did. The only reason I mentioned it in the Chatbox was because about a day or so, if I recall correctly, had gone by without anything happening, and the thread hadn't been posted in for a while, either.

And I suppose that's a fair enough view to take- constantly hassling someone for RPs does get very annoying fast. Still, both forums do essentially have the same basis in the sport of robot combat, and I personally find that those renders can work well for both places- predominantly for ARC of course, but also for GTM.

Add something a bit different to the table you could say, and perhaps some designs that you couldn't necessarily make in RA2 as well.

And it's not like I haven't tried to do something relevant as of late. I did have some rather nice renders of some of my ARC machines and other things in Maya that I thought might be of interest, which I've since uploaded here. The only response I got was along the lines of "we don't care".

The thing is, although it is relevant as such to the theme of the forum, and we have very strong links to roboteering and such, this is still an RA2 forum - and it always will be. So relevant in one sense, but in a stricter sense, not really. Hence your uncaring critic.
Well, what about Kurt or Thy and all the other ones who do more or less the same thing?

Dude. Rep is messed around with those that have it generally to those that have it. Anything else must've had some kind of reasoning - even if it's seeming a little moany about the system.
It's really not too hard to gain respect here and I thought you of all people would know that by now.

STEPS TO GAIN LOTS OF RESPECT
1) Don't lash out.
2) Contribute in valuable discussions.
3) Actively build.
4) Run a tournament.

You say you don't care but you continuously complain about the system, even going as far as feeling the need to insult those who defend it - and only last week I actually saw you defending homosexuality on Facebook rather than using it as a way to insult. Just chill out.
Alright. I was too harsh there, and for that I apologise. But I honestly don't see what there is that's appealing about it. One day, everyone hates it and wants it gotten rid of but has to put up with it due to there not being a means of removing it without it affecting the rest of the forum, and now everyone loves it as soon as it's established that there is now a way to remove it.

And it's not like I haven't tried to do something relevant as of late. I did have some rather nice renders of some of my ARC machines and other things in Maya that I thought might be of interest, which I've since uploaded here- the only response I got was along the lines of "we don't care". No offence, but I wouldn't call Respect "really not too hard to gain around here"- that's why I don't really come here any more.

Actually, it is pretty useful, and some of the comments are amusing. I'm with Craaig on that.
Oh yes, should've guessed you'd kiss his ass. You going to blow him in return for precious rep, next?

You just don't want negative rep that you can't shift anymore.  :dumb)
What utter crap. As mentioned, it personally doesn't concern me anymore seeing as I hardly ever come here anyway. The reason I don't feel it has a purpose here as already mentioned, is in how in the hands of certain people, it's only really used as a plaything for dicking about with people rather than as any actual sort of status symbol.

And if you want to show how valuable someone is, why not just have more varied titles to show that? That way, it can't really be abused. Or at least not as much.

Well personally, I think we'd all be better off without it.

I actually think I disproved that by defending it :P
Why? It doesn't mean anything, and all it does is cause trouble.

Very nice. Will this one be used for Wiki Wars 2014? I remember seeing its name on there somewhere.

it has a sort of... blocky goodness to it.

Sort of like Cassius 2, I know what you mean.
Yeah, TAN looks nice. I dont really like cassius 2, it kinda sucked. I loved how tan could almost effortlessly just grab a robot and pit it.
Try harder.

Cassius 2 was genuinely overrated. Could barely get underneath Dundee, that air suspension was just bad design, look at the way it was wobbling around all over the shop. You want a flipper that sticks to the ground and Cassius just didn't do that.
That's better.   :dumb)

whats your take on beige?
Well, I'd say it's a decent enough colour. An alright colour scheme furnishing a house with, but a bit dull for other things.

Made this render of Cut Man in Maya as part of an Project for University. I'm planning on rendering Elec Man as well, so I'll upload him here as well once it's finished.
