Hey all, I am back from the MIA list, cant believe this forum is still here! I thought RA2 died, then I found out about DSL 3 beta, installed it, awesome stuff! now i am wondering if i can install an AI pack into DSL 3? TBH, a simple box could beat the AI in there, they are all stock AI bots, but they seem to be broken? EDIT: Managed to install the Paranoia AI pack, now my Super Awesome Shell spinners suck   .....lol

my system that I just recently built myself is..
AMD 64 4000+
1GB of Ram
ATI 256MB (600Mhz GPU)
2Ghz FSB Mobo w/ 8 HD Channels sound & Nvidia 6150 onboard
160GB HDDs (2x 80GB HDD)
A kick-ass Case w/ 450w PSU
Zalman's Heatsink
and people though I paid well over 2k bucks... actually, I have not gone over 1k at all... close though.
(newegg.com is your best friend)
actually, half of that 1k went into two 17" LCD Monitors, so I only spent about $500 on the Mboard (ASUS K8V X SE) one gig stick of ram (to make 1.5 Gb) an AMD Athlon 64 3700+ CPU, and a Maxtor SATA 200 Gb HDD although a dual core CPU would rock for my 3D modeling..........

im running an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 on my machine, and have no problems with RA2 stock or DSL, I want to eventually upgrade to an ATI 256 card, but cannot afford it at the moment, already sunk over 1k into my comp this year......

He said he downloaded RA2 and tried to install the CD DSL patch over it. hmmmm...........you didnt read the whole post, did you? he tried BOTH dsl versions.......... i have the downloaded ra2
i tried dsl cd version AND downloaded version and it wont work

does anyone have any suggestions for building any decent bots with DSL, i have no idea how to build with dsl parts here apparently, because every bot i have built is no good, the armor is like plastic compared to the weapons...........
