oh and chaser, if u want to quoste sombody click the "quote" button to the top-left corner of their post.

So that's how the quote system works, I'm terrible with computers. Anyone ever seen some of the great matches by Ziggo, I think the best matches involve spinners or bots with blade weapons like Hazard. Whats the point of watching wedge bots try to ram each other or flip one another. It's the destruction that's fun to watch.

It can be very expensive but their are ways to raise money at least when your out of school and working that is. The best suggestion that I can think of is to either try some investing or saving it in a high interest yielding CD if you don't have a high risk tolerance. Keep two things in mind when it comes to raising money
1) You either have to cut expenses at home
2) Or increase the amount of money you can make through a higher paying job. Those who go to college and graduate will make a whole lot more money than those who don't.
It also helps to think about the type of bot you want to build, a person is going to pay a whole lot more for the materials to build a super heavy weight than for a lightweight. Either way it's not cheap and if your bot gets destroyed (Hazard Style) you have to spend even more money to replace that motor the Judge just punched a hole in.   I'll stick to watching matches for this reason.

Does anyone know if Battlebots sells any of their season matches on DVD. Ever since Battlebots got cancelled off Comedy Central I can't find DVDs featuring the matches. It makes no sense if they would open up the market and sell the seasons they could make a lot of money. My wife even said she would get me some robot canage DVDs for Christmas, problem is we can't find anything being sold by Battlebots. The matches referred to in all thes posts are great, now if only someone would sell them all on tape.

Hazard is an all time favorite that comes to mind. Not too many bots remain in one piece after a hazard match, just see what happened to Complete Control LOL. Hazard had never even lost a fight that is until T Minus came along and flipped it. A massive spinning blade with high yield destruction is great to watch. For the same reason I also like Ziggo for it's destructive abilities, now that's a spinner. :!:

Discussion / The Stock Announcer Has Got To Go
« on: October 20, 2006, 05:05:10 PM »
Well spoken I know the DSL team that has already accomplished some very impressive things in relation to this game can easily replace the crappy announcer we're all tormented by in the current game. The developers could have at least budgeted some money to hire a decent voice actor, where did they find this guy.
