Same here, I'd be interested with a GTM server.

Also, try not to quote everything in your replies Pokebro, it becomes difficult to tell what it is you're trying to say. Also, why would you like to know what software was used? Are you thinking of making some models for RA2 yourself?

I read none of that but I'm gonna assume it was all bollocks. Anyway, at least there's only 1 aidsbots in the wildcard and it's got 0 chance of winning it.
Speaking of which, who do we all think will get the wildcard? Imma say Thor (or Tor, because Dara's irish is amazing) because of it's higher amount of points scored in the head to heads (only 1 bot has gotten higher than 8 and that's in the final already)

**** GABRIEL, BUILDERS SHOULD BE BANNED FROM EVENTS FOR ENTERING THIS BORING ASS sh**E
OK, gonna have to stop you riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight there.
What about Gabriel is boring? Like, seriously? It's a really interesting counter to the average design you see on Robot Wars, the flipper. It's near impossible to effectively flip the thing, thus showing that not every UK bot needs to be a flipper to do well. And it's a massive robot that practically rolls off of every surface imaginable! How is something that mobile in a fight boring? It's not like it put on a wedge and went straight for the pit tyre...
I'm gonna assume that this is just you being unhappy that the spinners didn't take off many (or any) parts in this episode, and that the spinners hit Gabriel so much yet it stayed intact. If you want my personal opinion, it's a tad childish to call a robot boring and then stating that it somehow "offended you".
Anyways, episode; It felt good to see Pulsar rise from the ashes like that; went out in round 1 then reinstated with the odds against it (started out the league rounds with 1 loss already on the board) and then to come back and win the heat. Sadly, I don't see it doing too well in the final episode considering all of the drive issues it had in this episode.
Ironside 3 going out was rather unfortunate, but it certainly fought well. Shame it's srimech didn't quite bring it to it's wheels in time.
Also, nice controversy, judges. Way to bring back the feel of the old series's...s... (that doesn't sound right when describing multiple series... damnit) seasons, I guess? If only they had some sort of HOUSE ROBOT THAT COULD'VE COUNTED IMMOBILE ROBOTS OUT then there would've been less controversy. However, we all know no such robot like that exists. At all. Ever.
Name 1 time it did damage to another bot protip: you can't
Name 1 time it threw another bot into the air protip: you can't
The bottype is a ****ing waste of time and space. It does no damage, it's nearly impossible to damage it without getting a big-ass HS to hit the wheels (And gabriel's wheels were made of bendy plastic so that's out too). It's literally there to be pushed around for 3 minutes and hope the other bot dies out of nowhere or because it drove into a CPZ or something. The bot has LITERALLY no way to make the fight interesting apart from being rekt by a HS, and it's even bad at that.
I'm not saying it's a bad bottype competitively, it does indeed "counter" flippers (tho not really, it can't do anything to them and it's incredibly hard to get an OOTA this year anyway). I'm saying it's basically impossible to have an interesting fight when its not vs a HS, and IMO it s a complete and utter dick move to enter one and a huge **** you to all the spectators and viewers.
The bot isn't not sh** just by virtue of not being a flipper. I could enter a ****ing shopping trolley and it would produce more interesting fights than that thing.
I don't see how you can claim flippers dominate RW when 3/5 bots in the grand final are not flippers, and 3/5 wildcard runners up aren't flippers either.
Finally, I'm actually a flipper fan more than a HS fan. I'm unhappy that the majority of match viewing time was a complete waste of time as may as well be skipped because it involved Gabriel.
Because that was a perfectly reasonable way to respond to someone. Quit being an edgy Goon 2.0 and actually be bloody sensible. I want to feel like I'm talking to someone above the age of 12, please.
"It did no damage" so I guess Beta did no damage too? I guess stinger didn't damage other bots? It clearly dealt internal damage; obviously you haven't seen it fight prior to the 2016 series.
Of course it wouldn't flip anything, you twat. How about we ask why Pulsar didn't pick another robot up and parade it around the arena before dropping it on the flame pit?
And the rest of that post amounts to "I found it boring because nothing was smashed off". Exactly what I thought from a stupidly immature post. That's your description of an interesting fight, is it? You aren't going to take any other aspect such as driving skill into account? Honestly, I can't say anything more in response. Your response is literally that poorly put together; it's just the same point over and over "nothing got smashed off." if you're so interested in these moments, go look at some match highlights; don't watch the full bloomin' episode.
And you tell me that flippers don't dominate? Look at the recent UK champs; a large ****ton of them have been flippers, hence why Gabriel exists. It hardly causes wasted viewing time (especially when you don't give a proper reason for it); as I said, watch some match highlights instead, not the episode that you clearly can't sit through. If anything, you should be annoyed at the spinners for having constant technical issues
Mate if you think those sh**ty taps did dick all I don't know what you're on.
Honestly I don't see your argument at all. What in Gabriel do you find entertaining? Name 1 thing? There is no driving skill there at all. None. I would bet good money, I swear to god, that if I replaced the driver with an RPi that send a random command to the controller every X seconds you would literally not be able to tell the difference. Not that you can really appreciate the driving skill of anyone this season with the sub-pa camera work.
I suppose you'd enjoy watching a massive solid steel block on casters being rolled into the arena, since it's a HS counter and therefore such an innovative and interesting to watch design.
Gabriel and other bots like it do not show skill, technical prowess or displays of power at all, at any point in their matches. Their only purpose is fodder and they're horrendously bad at that. The gabriel team has made me appreciate the Nuts team immensely.
They weren't just sh**ty taps. I can't say anything else, I only have your word and you're dense as sh** so I have a lot to go on, don't I? I can't respond to anything you're saying at this point as you seem to be more interested in insulting the other person rather than making a valid argument. If I said Apollo barely lifted a thing, does that make it true? Is that what actually happened? Perhaps try, I don't know, not acting immaturely? Have your 2800+ posts gone to your head? You're literally trying to piss people off at this point, nothing more. You're not on 4chan and you aren't a living meme. It's not hard to just have a conversation with people, you know. You could've just said "I think it isn't particularly good for entertainment and is a bit of a poor quality entry because it's rather resilient to damage and can't easily cause damage" and that would've been fine; I would've had no issues with that. But seriously, if you don't like the bot, just say. Say you don't like it; everyone will accept that. However, calling it sh** just because you don't like it is boarderline stupid. This entire pointless argument could've been avoided if you just didn't say something stupid. Judging by what you've been saying in the discord chat ("I love making people RQ" "indestructible autism bot of aids") I think I can just wrap up there as you seem to give 0 ****s at this point. Either way, can we just drop this now. I think we all have better things to do than talk sh** at each other over a TV show. Also, seeing as you wanted to know, Panic Attack is pretty much retired; apparently Kim Davis still has it. He took it out of retirement in a virtually unchanged state to fight Behemoth at a live event in 2012; it went badly for PA. It wasn't damaged too much though, so it still would work if someone were to get the bot properly functioning again. Maybe that'll happen in the near future? I wouldn't mind seeing it. also whoa that ninja by wakky, imma just leave things there

Literally made a bot in about 45 minutes so I could join this. I was on holiday, I would've done it sooner otherwise...
Anyone else that I can team up with?
EDIT: Apparently what I built isn't very good at all according to who I shown it to. Forget me, look for someone else to team up with.

Still don't understand why Storm 2 have this bad rep. Brute force is something to be admired, especially the way they walloped Steel Avenger out of the arena completely.
I didn't think they did? Unless they talked about it on the show.. I was watching while doing something on Teamspeak, might have missed a few lines.
Great episode though. I expected a classic just from seeing Storm and PP3D (as the successor to Typhoon) as well as seeing Eruption for the first time, but there was plenty to get excited about all round.
It seems to be lumped in the same category as Tornado as just "a box on wheels" amongst some fans. While I prefer Storm 2 to Tornado, I think both are unfair judgements, and that the brute power of the push is an amazing, and underappreciated ability.
I agree, however in my opinion they relied far too much on it's brute strength; they probably should've tried some other weapons, especially for their last fight with Apollo. If the front hinged lifter didn't work the first time, it wouldn't likely work the second time.

Now I'm curious which robot was the hardest to replicate in game and which was the hardest to create the model for?
I've asked that before, apparently it was Black Hole.

On that note.. im not totally up to date but roaming robots live tour was full of robots wasnt it? is their something im missing? why do we have MDF robots built 5 days before the competition and not so many of the proven, solid robots from the circuit? licensing issues? or have they all since retired?
It's to try and get more people interested in robotics and to get people to actually build a fighting robot. See, if all the entries were the same tier as Carbide, people would go "Oh, sh**, I can't match that. Why bother trying, mine'll just get destroyed..." Whereas if they see Overdoser tier entries, they'll think "Oh, they did something like that and got on the show, maybe I could build a robot, get on the show and fight too!" That, and as RTC said, entertainment purposes. People love seeing destruction on the show (hence why some of Hypno-Disc's battles ended up being the most memorable) so particularly weaker bots could be allowed in so the audience gets to see something get smashed up.

S H O C K B O Y S
Also, Foxic's strategy was rather poor. They said "screw it, attack the house robots, we aren't gonna win" after one fight. And it wasn't exactly entertaining fights that came from it.
I have a lot of respect for Craig Danby (and anyone that can build a heavyweight robot), but I expected a little better.

some should make a stock tournament where Cheatbot2 components are allowed
Wouldn't it be better if they were mandatory? Like, people have to use those weapons? Because I totally see someone choosing not to use the Cheatbot components and then going in with your average "imma break the game" popup or HS. Regardless, I'd be interested in a tournament using Cheatbot2 components.

Long time since I ever thought of BAMZOOKi, but , I still have the quarter finals framed BAMZOOKi poster hanging on my wall.. for those that have no idea what I'm talking about, myself and my team appeared in season III of BAMZOOKi as the "Basketball Superstars" (we really didn't give the name much thought, but hey, we were around 11 years old at the time, now nearly 23, ha!). I made all of the zooks that were a part of the show, including the modifications for our "uber-zook" in the final, which we ended up winning. We played against C2 in the quarters, Cheltenham Batapillars in the semis, and Canary Woolf in the finals.
Below is the framed poster - I've added a few green circles to show which were the ones from my team. (Image removed from quote.)
I was pretty active over at Canary Woolf's forums when that used to run.. THEMAGNIFICENTSHOE/Shoeman, Zog, mistywertys, Pinguster... some names I've found from a quick snooping around. Had a secret wee club developing the best in the world over there for a while, no idea when it dried up..
I was also personally contacted at a later date to get involved with the newer 'BAMZOOKi Street Rules' beta development kit, and made 3 house-zooks for that show (technically 4, as two were known as 'the twins' - Punka and Punkalicious, one had slower and broken movement cycles with green eyes, whereas the other was faster and had red eyes). I've highlighted them below: (Image removed from quote.)
Sooo.. yeah. Hey everybody! Just thought I'd pop in, say hi, and uh.. see what's still going on in this world.
So I saw who you were and... hoo boy. I recognized your team right away. I would've never expected to see one of the series 3 grand finals winners here. Your team had my favorite Uber Zook too! I loved Alley Uber so much! So much so that recently after seeing your final on YouTube, I tried to attempt the design myself. I'm going to blame the YouTube video quality as the cause for why this ended up flopping. Literally. I could've never have guessed that you made some of the SR House Zooks... The two "twins" were my favorites when I was watching the program back in... whenever it aired. I recognized the name "Pinguster". I never went on the Canary Woolf forums before, I just remember seeing a large number of zooks that were high-ranking in some of the trials with the name "Pingu" in them. First time I saw one, my reaction was the 7 year old who hadn't heard the word "sh**"'s equivalent of "OH sh**". Shoeman is someone I've only seen on YouTube so far, mainly from his custom contest video. I'm surprised custom contests are even a thing. I guess the community for Bamzooki was a little larger than I first thought. I'd love to find out more about the Canary Woolf forums and this "iLand Creator" I've been hearing about, but it's hard to find any real information on Bamzooki's community now. That aside, great to see you here!

As a massive fan from my early years who couldn't make anything but watched the hell out of the TV show I seem to remember centipede like Zooks where the most successful.
They would kinda get screwed in the finals though. You needed a rather small zook for those. Another thing, that last Zook: (Image removed from quote.)
That's Blu Ray, unmistakably. A Zook entered in Series 4. Also, now that I look at them, the URL's for the images show the names of the Zooks; top one is called Domino, middle one is called BEAST, and bottom one is called Blu Ray. They were all seen on Series 4. For the record, they are different though. The Zooks have been changed a fair bit, so they are not identical to what was on the show. Apart from Blu Ray, that's near identical IMO. This isn't me saying they're not allowed, I'm just making observations.

ty, its just that copy was unfortunatly not working for me and neither was the contest file thing for adding the old contests to the SR version any tips?
You need to copy the contents of each folder from the old kit to the corresponding folder in the new kit. Basically, you copy the stuff in the "Contests" folder in the old Zook Kit. Then, you put them in the folder in the new Zook Kit names "Contests". You repeat this for the "ContestPacks" folder. If that doesn't work, then I'm not sure what else to suggest. I'm not certain of what exactly you did, and without that knowledge I can't be of much help.
