YES, i think that might actually be it. my version is already patched apparently, because when i try to apply the 1.2 official patch half way through the patching it gives a warning that there is a file in the game which is already patched and does not need to be patched again, but it gives me the option to patch anyway, so i let it. is it possible i already have by default the patched version of the game?i think i will try just installing dsl2 without patching it...but its a clean copy, seems already patched though

oh, and i installed dsl2 directly onto a fresh copy of the cd game..but before installing dsl 2 i patched the game to 1.2, but then i had the problem above where it says the game is already patched..im gona install a fresh copy of the game and run it to check the version on the credits and post back

yes, i do have all the patches and all the dsl upadates and yes i have read everysingle thing in the forum and even found one problem which is similar to mine. i really love this game and i have been playing it for ages but i have never actually posted anythign coz i always managed to solve the bugs i found in the game one way or another. sometimes it was my antivirus stopping it, at other times updating the graphics driver, screen resolution, cleaning up registiry, whatever it took i would do it but today i must confess, i really do feel like getting physical with the game!!its bloody fustrating, im begging for help!!this might be long but plz plz help me love this game. I have installed the game in two diff computers, both running xp pro, both nvidia, and yes both nvidia patched, plenty of memory and speed. i swtiched anti viruses off and anything else that could get in the way. but when i go to components, not only blank squares but even alot of the new components, everytime clicked on will crash the game. when im playinng for the tornies, i few stages crash after 20 secons or so, and the opponents do not even move, but then it gives a diff error, its the executable that fails when the game crashes on a stage. so i cant play around with most of the new parts in the lab and 45% of the stages do not work. how on earth can i solve this?
i tryed deleting the compponents.cfz, nothing, try doing all the things ppl suggest in this forum, nothing. is this a normal problem that everyone has or is it just me?is the game actually fully playable with minor bugs given the right enviroment or is this normal?plz help

oh yes, i have the cd version, patched 1.2, dsl 2 and installed it perfectly like told.
