Search function told me no one had mentioned this yet, so I present to you, Pokemon Melanite! It's a free (entirely, not "freemium or some other BS) PC Pokemon game made by some guy in his basement, probably. ;D Currently still in alpha, but quite fun even in its current state. Set in a new region, planned to contain all the pokemon from other regions/games, without the need for trading to evolve (read-as: all available via single player).
The Melanite Subreddit is a good resource to surf around on, if you're genuinely interested. I've enjoyed it quite a bit as yet. 3

I can't for the life of me figure what light up so destructively. It looks almost as if there was compressed air tank it in filled with hydrogen. Fire is scary. I like it. ;D 4

Well now, that's just beautiful. Tanks a million, I reckon. Or planes. Something like that. Smeg off, it's 04:46.
Edit: Christ. I really sound like a douche when I'm tired. That was less sarcastic than it came off sounding, sorry. 5

Just thought I'd stop by to mention how impressive your driving is. It's always a bit mind-blowing to see how effective the most simple and seemingly unoffensive bots are in battle. Kudos, my good sir/madam.

You know, I feel like the outlook of "nobody would buy it" is hardly accurate. Even if a simple RA3 was developed, fixing the major bugs and maybe reworking the physics engine to a stable point, I feel like the game would sell massively. Couple that with the current trend of crowd-funding games, I think it's entirely plausible that this could be done in this era. The only thing really necessary to sell a game today is effective marketing, and with YouTube LPs and reviewers at an all-time high, I think that would hardly be the most difficult aspect of development.
Just thought I'd put a word out there; it can definitely be done, but a lot of dedication would be necessary.
