I used to play this when I was 3 and I still do to this day.
I have a copy of RCT2 lying around somewhere hiding, but I got lazy and just bought a new copy

Maybe I should make some coasters some time.

Heard this forum liked cambered wheels. More experimenting.

Crushing design implemented. More spikes added. Reticulated splines.

Found out about Cruiserweights. Started experimenting with Turrets.

594.3 kg

Decently gets the job done. Turret is rotatable using a low power servo.
To my surprise it was able to turn the whole thing with ease.

Anyone wanna race?

Ethanol

Experimented with out of chassis frame drive. Ended up with something Vettel would have a hard time looking at.

Been lurking for a while trying to gather information on how to make a robot look good.
If you expect effective, deadly robots to be posted here then you will be disappointed.

I couldn't fit the snapper in the chassis. Much to full in there.
The self-righting mechanism includes a "That Darn Dustpan" motor bracket for looks.

Surprisingly, the Bob Flap wedge is more effective than I thought.

A god among men you are.

I had it set to default instead of 24.
Thanks for the help.

I looked for a fix but couldn't find one. Maybe I didn't look hard enough but I couldn't for the life of me locate a solution.

I attempted to import a texture for my robot in the paintshop window and it crashed immediately.

File type: .bmp
Size: 256 x 256
Program: Paint.NET

Not sure if there is anything pertinent that I missed.

Was hoping to submit a showcase today, but want to at least skin the thing. Sorry for the trouble. Thanks in advance.

Found it!
I was testing a concept bot in DSL and made Biohazard super-flat.
(Image removed from quote.)

Alright, I'm not super far off. The pic I got was my second, more unsuccessful attempt. Fun to see it pretty much melt into the floor though.

Anyone up for a rousing game of Who Can Make Biohazard Shorter?

Oh Biohazard, how I love your invisible drive motors. And invisible everything else.

lol iirc none of the people who came because of the first video actually stayed for a decent amount of time.

As someone who has stayed for a decent amount of time because of the first video, I don't do much because I don't want to fill the forum with absolutely horrible robots. I'd rather wait until I have something at least acceptable. Some stay. We just hide.

Biohazard. It's got Biohazard written all over it.

Thanks. Sorry I'm a bit new. Still trying to learn to navigate forums and things like that. Please disregard the stupid things I ask.

I've had this problem before and I remember seeing a fix somewhere, but can't remember the details.

I use the download version of DSL, no extra mods added [at the time].

The Compressor Arena and the Ocean Platform Arena crash the game entirely for me. There could be others that do the same, but I'm not entirely sure. I haven't played every arena.

Thanks in advance for a solution or if there is none at all.

I'll attempt to get some pictures, hopefully my computer will stay alive. I'm relatively new to this and have been fiddling around for about a week, so I'm sure once I get pictures up there will be a bit of criticism. [by all means do, I need it.]

I use a DSL download that never fiddled with the original stock. Just a full brush download of the DSL Total Conversion.

** Apparently the crash wiped the bot schematic... Surprise surprise. I have no pictures. Terribly sorry for wasting your time.

General Support / Multiple Snowplows Crash
« on: April 01, 2014, 08:10:47 PM »
DSL didn't seem to like that I used 6 snowplows for armour and seemed to create a really weird looking graphical crash where it would phase from the game [a frozen screen] to my computer's desktop.

[shame too. I thought I finally had a winning robot.]

Anyone try the same thing and get the same occurrence or is it just me?
