I'm kind of surprised that the game was at PAX East, a huge event full of people, and absolutely noone has uploaded anything about it to YT. No gameplay, no interviews, no nothing. We would've assumed it wasn't there at all if it wasnt for the trickle of information posted here and the devs saying they were going.

I agree with Naryar so much. No need to complain about people going against what you may have told them not to ask because they'll ask anyway as this will be a big thing for Robot Wars superfans and they really want to see their favourite robot in the game.
It'd be fine if it was only once or twice, but the fact that this keep happening constantly, despite us repeatedly saying we don't take requests, is what irritates us. This is a project we do in our spare time, and started as something filled with plenty more enthusiasm than we currently have. It doesn't help when people like battledutchman over here start asking for robots that are impossible to get due to either the owners being untrackable or the robot being associated with another company. We've put tonnes of content into the mod already, including more replicas than any other mods previously. All we're asking for is for people to be patient and try to appreciate what we've worked on for over a year.

Is there any chance you can show us some video footage of this mod in action?

You know what would be an easy fix for the issue of having robots that aren't "nooby" enough? Either have someone who's never played the game before build your entry, or have someone else on here make it for you. That way, it removes the problem of people making entries that are semi-competent.

To celebrate Robot Wars being brought back to television, here's a teaser for the mod update

I'm sorry, but unless you can ask the owners of these robots directly and provide us proof that they would give us permission, we can't put them in the mod. That's the way things work, I'm afraid.

Is the 150 x 150 size limit a technical issue with the forums themselves, or is it a choice? I wouldn't mind if the limit was a bit bigger.

We have a surprise for you. Will Bales, who built Hypershock for Battlebots, has been in touch with our team for a while. Understanding that we couldn't put a BB competitor in the game, he offered the idea of a heavyweight version of his middleweight robot, Fluffy DeLarge. This is the finished result: meet Salad Tosser.

I know NerdCubed would be very interested in playing this mod, but sadly I'm unable to get in contact with him. Getting NerdCubed to review and play through this would generate a massive spike in traffic, and is needed. Somebody, contact him, tell him a true Robot Wars experience is here.
Funny you mention that. We actually shot him an email (it's on his YT channel in the 'About' section) yesterday. He hasn't replied yet, but we did get a response from another English YouTuber who said he's willing to give the mod a shot.

I think you guys look way too deep into your Chuck-E-Cheese horror flash games.

I don't understand why people would compare Chomp's design to Razer. It resembles Chompalot more than anything, even down to the name.

Is there a way to expand the amount of AI teams you face in tournament mode past 15?

I'm still not sure how to respond to this. Where do I start? - The camerawork is lazy
- The editing is near non-existent. It looks like you just plonked raw footage onto a timeline and then added some music
- The sound design is incredibly lazy. No attempt to hide any distracting sounds that your camera picked up
- You stumble over your words a lot
- You repeat some things a lot
- You really couldn't find any suitable sound effects?
- Your commentary is dull and not captivating in the slightest
- There's no attempt to actually animate anything. Instead, you just manhandle your toys on camera and hope the audience is immersed anyway
- There's no attempt to disguise the fact that this is taking place in someone's bedroom/living room/basement/torture dungeon, but the audience is apparently meant to ignore this
It may sound harsh, but it felt like a chore to watch these videos.

Update on the contest we're holding: Just letting you guys know, you only have one week left so make sure you've submitted your entry by July 3rdRemember: - Use whatever you want to design your robot and send us a picture (or pictures) of it for us to look at. Pictures from as many angles as possible would be helpful
- Make sure you do not sign your robot or picture of robot with your name. Anonymity will help reduce our bias
- We are looking for 1 featherweight (small) and 2 heavyweights (large) so make sure to label your entries appropriately
- Submit all entries to RobotWarsRA2@outlook.com
- Blatent copies or recolours of existing robots will be ignored

This is a problem that's only happened recently and I have no idea why. Whenever I'm in the botlab looking at components, an error message comes up telling me there isn't a disc in the disc drive, even though it's the downloaded version that I'm playing. I can still play the game when I get rid of the error message's window, but it won't stop popping up when I'm in the botlab

According to Team Storm's twitter account, there are addition matchups in the form of wild card and grudge matches outside of the main competition.

We've got two new featherweights to show you guys today. The meshes were donated by the roboteers themselves so special thanks to them. Say hello to Triggo and Spanky.
