Remove the nonmotorized wheels on that HS, they're doing nothing.

add another ant battery, get NPC or NPCF, and then fit the chassis to your components.
Didn't have enough space for NPC motors so I've used TWM3R2s instead. It it faster and more manoeuvrable. I've not added another battery as I thought the rules were 1 per motor + 1 spare and i've already got 4.

A few updates to the robots now. I have managed to put a blade on the Little Point and keep it within the middleweight limits at 392.3. The spike is now gone and it weighs 392.3. I have also skinned the robot and has its bigger brother but kept the bare metal look as I think it matched its aesthetic.

I have also managed to create another robot, this time a full body spinner. It is called Corryvreckan and is named after the deadly whirlpool off the west coast of Scotland. It weighs 763.7 and has a Dual Perm 132 Gearbox attached to 3 DSL Hammers. It uses 2 TWM3R Drive motors and 4 Ant Batteries. It has 3mm Titanium for armour.

Good, but you still have an extra 60+ to use. Put perhaps spikes on the sides? Would look better and also stop it from being stuck on it's side

I don't think it can get stuck on its side. There is the smallest flat panel next to the wheels so it would need to be a very accurate flipper to get the robot onto that area. The blade spinning also would off balance it when it got onto that panel and it has the skirt at the front and low ground clearance everywhere else so I don't think it is worth worrying about. I've also taken your advice and built a second version to middleweight rules called The Little Point. The armour has been lightened and the spike place at the front. It is extremely fast now.

Also if you want to take your hand in making your own skins for your robots, just export your bot's template in the paint shop and then go to custom textures and edit it with your preferred image editing software.
That is going to get done once I've finalised the design. I've still to try it however.

Upgraded the armour to 10mm Titanium. Now weighs 739.7.

Hi guys, I'm back for another attempt at this. I've now gotten used to the components and I now think I can build a competent robot. The only design I'm going to show is The Point. Its designed to get underneath a robot and damage the underneaths of the robot. it also has the potential to flip the robot. It is invertible and has a pneumatic spike on the back so it can attack when inverted. It uses 4 Ant Batteries, 2 NPC-T64 Fast motors for drive and a Perm 80 for the blade. Armour is 5mm Titanium and the weight is 526.9.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I've not had much time to redo all my robots but have built a new version of Chedder

Biggest improvement is the ground clearance, and because of the lower centre of gravity it drives a lot better. The flipper is better than the last one but it still isn't as powerful as id like.

I'm thinking of combining my other two robots by having Hurricane's disc horizontally mounted on to The Brick's body. It would be more of a Hypnodisc shaped design rather than the disc being on top and being a full body spinner of sorts. I would also hope to keep it invertable. What do you guys think?

Hello everyone. I've have recently joined and I am going to post the robots I have designed so that you guys can help me improve and become a competent roboteer.

The Brick

The first robot I designed. Really basic, 4 wheel drive, a few spikes and was basically built for me to see what I have to do to make a working robot.

Chedder

Tried to make a moving weapon on this one. The flipper is underpowered. It drives better than The Brick. It is slower and easier to control. It can also self right.

Hurricane

My first attempt to build a serious robot. The robot is totally unstable when the disc is spinning. It will roll when turning and can flip itself if moving forwards or backwards.

So that's what I've done in about 2 days. Comments, criticism and advice is welcomed.
