also the dsl axle mounts are bugged... go make a bot similar to slap happy but place the weapons on axle mounts instead. then go into the garage twice and your bots weapons will be stuck underground...

thats the type of arena i'm talkin about... I do understand that no matter what lag will exist because everything has to be calculated. But the less objects that have to be calculated, the less lag there will be right? exactly :-P Honestly i was workin on doing a light mod for RA2 when i came across DSL. I downloaded everything. (yes everything) from rfshq and assorted other sites with some files, and i began balancing all the weapons etc... It was mainly just going to be a mod for me and my friends, but now i found this. I'd love to help anyway I could and would gladly learn how to use programs. I just don't know what type of programs i need. =/ 8

Don't go throwing insults, he was just making a joke. And i remember reading that there isn't much coding to actually do with the mod because no codes been released...
Anyway the bots look really good, but will we be able to use the ant weight motors and such? that could be overpowered... And maybe you should make a sticky closed topic that just shows all of the previews. 9

A Problem free installer (Deletes all un-needed files and freshly installs only everything DSL needs, nothing extra)
CFZ replacing the billion text files Better Descriptions on the Components Telling actual info "Does X damage, Has X HP" A replacement tutorial similar too this http://db.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/file/robot_arena_building_basic.txt BUG: I havent tested with all the motors, but take the big tornado motor and put a carbon fiber extension onto it, then put anything on that, go to the garage, come back and look at your bot, whatever you put on top of the carbon fiber extension will now be upside on the bottom of it. ![]() New Battery/Co2 that can be outside of the chasis (saw a component like this already made) Tribar (small at least) is way too weak New armor types including textures (saw before in a mod) Replacement of the default "rookie" team you start off with with a DSL 2.0 Version Complete Low latency Version of the tourny map for best online play Some compatibility for XFIRE DSL #IRC channel DSL Myspace ![]() Maybe the Hitbox type models for all custom weapons, where it shows how the weapon actually damages or gets damaged. --- Thats it for now, i'd like to help anyway i could 10

General Support / Don't have most power components PICTURE« on: March 03, 2006, 03:28:15 AM »![]() Thats all there is, and the default controller or the vertical one both arent there... I installed exactly as the tutorial in this forum said. I think i'll re-install with version 1.0 and see if that solves the problem. I went Fresh cd install RA2 Patch DSL 1.0 (CD) to temp Copy all to RA2 directory Create game, create team. Exit DSL 1.2 to temp Copy all except Components Open components and copy them into the RA2 Components folder, Over-writing previous files. Please help =[ -Edit ok now i have installed up to the 1.2 DSL patch without the components and it works fine. Anyone know the fix for this? I know my way around computers alright ![]() 19
