hmmm, have you installed mads smartzones/any components that come with the pack? CPIV and flaming whizzer do not use smartzones, but the other 4 bots use burst motor weapons and thus need them....... IDK what the problem could be with Le\/eL though

Updated previous post with what happened with the new install.
I know this is a double post, but just editing a post doesn't send a "new post" message out to all the peeps that are subscribed to this thread.
I've been thinking...
The bots that I have imported don't have custom skins, I don't think, but the ones that crash my game upon an import attempt do have custom skins (I think).
Correct me on the above line if I'm wrong. Could this be the root of my problems?

Gonna try reDLing a new copy of RA2, even having problems importing bots not from the AI pack.
Anyone got a link to a good clean copy of the most recent version?

Cool. Gonna try re installing then importing again, will report back with how it goes. EDIT: Reinstalled with the link given, successfuly imported Child's Play IV and Flaming Whizzer but none of the other bots from the champions/runners ups teams would import, they all crashed my game. did you copy/paste or just drag and drop?
I copy/pasted from AI/Team#/ to /Robot Designs Which bots are you trying to import?
R4 is the one I tried first. Also have tried all 3 of the champion team's bots, don't remember their names.

Actually now it's not working.
The bot I imported yesterday is crashing my game whenever I play it and when I try to import it again/import other bots my game also crashes.
Do you know what could be causing this?

if you go into the ai folder that has all the bots from the ai pack, team0 being the champions, team1 being runner ups etc, just copy/paste the bots into your robot designs folder and import them

Hey guys,
First off, sorry if this is in the wrong section or anything;
I'm a brand new forum member here and pretty new to RA2, although an RA1 vet.
I've been bombing around the game for about a week, trying to build my own bots, trying different mods.
Recently DLed the BBEANS AI pack, installed it in a separate copy of RA2 like I'm supposed to.
Played some games against the champs and the 2nd place teams and got pwned.
Now, I'd like to know if I can drive the bots from the BBEANS pack- I'd like to see how they handle and drive a cream-of-the-crop bot so I know what to start expecting in my own builds. I tried putting the BBEANS teams in the folder that holds my teams, but it crashed mah game on the Infogrames loading screen D:
Any tips on how to do this, or is it impossible/ considered a big no-no in this community to use bots from AI packs?
