Ah, I guess I was confused when I thought certain 3D modeling utilities to create custom arenas...

Yeah, the RA1 forums (beore WizForum and after the crappy self-made bulletin board stuff) is when I first got into the forum. I think it was right after the release of RA1 (or not thaaat much after).

I actually left because, I dunno, the forums were awesome IMO (I even applied to be a mod when I was 16) but for some reason RA2 just didn't click with me. Nothing against the game, it just didn't have the legacy that RA1 had for me. Does anyone remember skinning whole new arenas? Just change some texture files around and you got yourself a new map! Haha.  I installed RA1 again a little while back, and it was quite nostalgia.

Anyway, I digress.

I am glad this thread existed, I wouldn't have found that GTM and the RA forums merged.

Oh, sorry for the lack of clarification on the invisible bots thing. This was in RA1, and was done by replacing your bot's texture with a file that said "clear" or something like that. Not exactly sure of the details, but I know that it could be applied to any weapon at all.

Hmm, brings me back to 2002:
- Raw HTML was allowed in the forum signatures
- Towerboy (I still remember how he got his name :3 )
- scimanal (SCIence is his favorite subject, hes the MAN, and ALex is his name :D )
- Was there ever wood armor?
- Invisible skin for our bots!

Aww, I registered just to nostalgia. It was nice.
