is there text files for each stock component for modification? i was trying to modify the car steering, and i can't seem to get it to work.

There are WAY too many tournaments running now.......I don't think we need somebody that can't AI, or run a tournament trying to get another started.
Since I can't really host cuz i can't AI decently yet, I'll post them here and hope someone uses the ideas. I would also like to compete in them, so I figured it would be best to let a/some reputable hosts host them, if they want to. If I ever come up with more, I'll edit this post and add them on.

I have a few ideas for some tourneys. Since I can't really host cuz i can't AI decently yet, I'll post them here and hope someone uses the ideas. I would also like to compete in them, so I figured it would be best to let a/some reputable hosts host them, if they want to. If I ever come up with more, I'll edit this post and add them on.
Ultimate Robot Build Off
You must make a required type of bot using only the allowed parts, some can be limited as to how many, and some may not be used at all. Each competition would equal so many points, and at the end of all the competitions, the tourney winner would would then have the most points. OR another way to do it is each bracket has to make the certain kind of robot, and the winner there moves on, where they will have to make another different type, until only 1 person is left.
North vs South (or some other name)
Everyone who enters either goes on the "North" or "South" team. Then, each person builds a bot. 1 "North" bot and 1 "South" bot (or 2 bots in a team match, 2 north and 2 south) compete against each other. Which ever team has the most bots left standing is the winning team.

Demolition Derby
Must make a rammer that uses a Power Steering Unit For Turning. All Bots compete against each other in a 4 bot bash. Each person then receives points for which position they come in, and at the end, one everyone has faced everyone at least once, the winner would be who ever accumulated the most points. Since this would mostly be AI based, it would be best if everyone who entered also do there own AI, which brings me to my next idea
AI tourney
Each person is given the same bot (or pick form some random bots, that using a standard AI for that type would make it a very challenging fight against another), and they must AI it the way they want to, so the AI is better. This could be done like the Ultimate Robot Build Off, just the bot is already provided for them to AI. Obviously, people who don't know how to AI would either have to learn so they enter, or don't enter at all.

 My first bot I would like to put on the showcase. The axe heads do not intersect the control board btw, just comes very close. If you would like better angles, i can get them, just say about where you would like. O and any constructive criticism would be appreciated. I know I did not maximize weight, but what else should I add? Also a name, right now its called Sal, and i have a horizontal spinner I'm working on called Sally. Those were just the first name that popped into my head.

I saw it, needs to have unrealistic stock and realistic DSL. Clickbeetle has a basic rule set for tournaments on his website (Don't have the link, posting from DSI). You should read them, then add on to them as you see fit.
i was thinking about having a realistic DSL. If I Did, Pure stock = realistic stock, Pro stock = unrealistic stock, Modifieds = Realistic DSL, Super Modifieds = Unrealistic DSL. The current super modified could really cause a lot of problems, so i am really leaning towards switching it.

ALL new tournaments will be on hold until at least half of the others finish.....so I suggest you guys start building bots for current tournaments ALREADY OPEN FOR SIGN-UPS, and get them finished before talking about new ones......ESPECIALLY if you can not AI and do not even know what smart zones are for............read the rules!
I could instead learn to AI. How many tourneys are actually running? I was looking thru them and there seems to be multiple ones in there, not the same 1 repeated, but sequels to older competitions. The only reason I haven't learned to AI is I never needed to. I have never entered in another competition/tourney. I'm not very good at making bots IMO, and I am prolly not even remotely close as to being called decent, Seeing as how there seems to be a lot of people who don't want new tourneys, I will wait. I have to wait at least 7 days anyways to fix the submit bot page, as the site is provisional. This Does Not Mean I Am Giving Up On The Idea. I will leave everything up and, since it hasn't started, refine the rules and such. How many people visited my site to see how it was set up?

actually, Smartzones are an essential part of the AI process. Any bot with pistons/burst motors needs them to work, basically.
I was not aware of that. I guess smartzones are legal. any specific one i should have listed as legal?

Super Modified: This won't work unless you balance components.
Purestock would be the enrty level class, henche that is why a lot is not allowed. When I designed the rules, I was trying to keep someone who does not know about the glitches in mind also, but also allow the more advanced users who can build crazy awesome bots that involve some parts passing thru parts in the class too. Also, its for a clean folder only, so smartzones would not show up on the parts list, as well as AI parts Pro stock is still no custom components. However, to make it a different class, I allowed every glitch, and also cheatbot 2 parts, exept hover. Hover is excluded since that could make a match go for the full time without any damage done to that bot. Yes an unrealistic DSL, I was also thinking about making a Realistic DSL class. Also I'm going to try to run the super modified classs, if that doesn't work out, I would make the modifieds a realistic DSL and the supermodifieds an unrealistic DSL. Or I might compile a list of components that are legal for it. you appear to have put loads of thought into this.. thats a good sign looks much better then some of the tournaments we have allowed to scrap through in the past.
I suggest starting smaller though, something much easier to manage, once you pull it off you will gain a big step up in experience and respect then progress to larger size tournaments.
also the "DragRacingNut" side of me is liking the Classes "Pro Stock" "Modified" and "Super Modified" lol
Maybe I could run just 1 class, until i get better, and leave the infastructure there, and improve upon it as I learn. Then, once I get good enough, I could run more. Racing is where i got the idea for each class name. Mostly circle track around where I live, kinda made each class how those classes there are, the higher the class, the more stuff is legal. I also got the "ultimate robot build off" idea from TV, from the ultimate car build off. I liked the one where they took a hearse and made it a rock crawler They don't call me the Tournament Paramedic for nothing. My help in AI/Splashing is yours for a mostly free price.

I am thinking about starting a tournament. I already have decided on rules and such. I even made a website for it. Basically all i need is someone to AI bots for people who don't want to/or cant (such as me) I already have various screen capture programs, I will be trying to find the right one within the next few days. Also, I might shrink it down from the current list of classes, unless i can get some major help on this tournament. The submission form is also currently being worked on too. please tell me what you think of this, any helpful criticism would also be appreciated. ka0scup.webs.com is the website, in case you didn't see the link.

Hello, I was once a member here a long time ago. It seems my account must have been deleted because neither of my 2 main email addresses that I would have signed up for something was registered. I had a very slow computer back then  , and RA2 could hardly run, so I moved on to other things. I now have a new PC, and have just installed RA2 again on it after going thru my software. It runs a lot better now. Also, has anyone figured out how to make a Translational Drift bot, for an AI tournament??
