It's nice to see alot of these same names on this forum; on youtube vids, and on the hamachi channel. I thought I had some nice bots; I just installed that StarCore 3. Those creations are retarted strong. Most of them use the same damn tripod double motor spin technique, though. I need to build something that will stop those bots with external spinners.

I got pretty proficient with the hammer editor from playing halflife 2 and counterstrike way back. I wonder if I could use that to make arenas. I dunno what extension they use or if Hammer can export/compile to that, but if so; I'd be in business.
... *EDIT _I just figured since they both use the Havok engine, perhaps....

Yeah, I did notice the bear claws, samuri sword... Are they accessable? I didn't read the gigafrost stuff... I wouldn't really accept to use those claws, but... That motor might be nice.

I didn't know if there were any unlockable parts for 'stock'. Perhaps upon successful completion of the in-game leage tournys? ... Also, how convienient is it to add custom skins, textures to a bot. I'm clueless on that topic.

Nice. That chaining spinning motors is ridiculous. I thought the square extenders would be stronger, and also, I never used to horizontal side of extenders. Appreciate the share of the knowledge. I'll be a force to be reckoned with in no time. Hey Sage, where or when are good oppertunities to just battle with folks without the long and drawn on tournament route? I need to find a group of people who are up to battle on a spontaneous note. It would definetely keep me ambitious to know of where or who to go to, to set up a game.

Hmph... Maybe I should have checked out some of the Robot Showcases first. I think I'll try to make a counter bot. I'll name it False Mechanism, and will focus on disabling hammer bots with a piston ( upwards from the external rear) and disable piston bots with some kind of 'side grinder, twist tactic.' Really though, good job everyone who uploaded these devastating looking bots. Pretty creative. I just might download that starcore ( is that specifically for DSL?) _starcore AI pack to get my building up to par with the community.

HS, FP MS, MW? FS? Wow. I'm lost. And I thought I knew how to glitch the placement of components. You all are placing Items inside themselves, etc. How does that work? Note I'm using Stock RB2

I have read various threads and posts; I read through the thread DSL vs Stock. After about 5 posts the remaining 3 pages were about Ai packs. I still am cautious about trying out DSL. I don't mind new components and enemy bots, but I mostly want to battle online with other cats, so I really am not worried about AI Packs, unless I made my own, which is prolly a tedious task. I can make some pretty neat bots. I'm sure there are ideas that I havn't implemented, but I'm an innovator; sometimes I make a bot that's not even for combat, maybe just crazy movment or assisting others! I learned earlier on that you can place motors outside the chasis and baseplate anchors off the ground; move a range of motion or part to place something it would normally go through, so I've evolved nicely. I just want to have fun with tha game. It can only be so fun wasting hours by yourself designing these whores. I've tried the DSL pack before, and half the parts if I remember didn't have proper graphics. I dunno, I did add some other component packs too. I'm just glad that the game let's you export your bots for the next time you decide to re-install this game, and play for awhile. Now, my only reason for upgrading to DSL would be that the community may be larger. Definetely the components if they work right. I'm about ready to pull out one of my middle weights and scrap some of your heavyweights. ( yeah, you reading this! ) Yah though, questions are: I know the modding community is more into DSL. What about Tournaments just with the basics? I mean DSL without any other part packs. And also, .... Phew; I can't think now. Just help convert me to DSL!
