Well, after some time spent in the lab, I was able to attack a few of the suggestions that were made.
For starters I did away with the nifty's and pinkies while installing another 12v black box. I tried countless times from different angles to stack the 12v battery, but I just couldn't do it. I'll probably try again tomorrow, but in the meantime I think it will suffice. Now for the second change. I've added 2 wedges in front of the plow and protected the extenders with some blades. What a difference this has made. I've taken on all the SHW bots (except the locust borg because for some reason my game crashes) and I've won effortlessly. Forget about the heavy weights, the SHW's are boarder-lining easy (trying not to sound too pretentious lol). The weight of this bot has now been bumped up to 1113.9 Kg's Some pics: ![]() ![]() 3

Normally I'd agree to that, but I find on the odd occasion some bots (with wedges. I.e. Maelstrom) seem to get me on my side or sometimes spin me around on my backside. Would installing wedges be appropriate?

Really? I thought as soon as you exceeded the 800Kg weight it falls under SHW; that's awesome then! As for the power supply, that makes sense, it's just stacking those black beasts are such a....well, you know. But I shall try!
I was trying to cover up my wheels with the snow plow, but I found the iron spikes defend them pretty well. I guess defending my rear end should be my next big task. 5

I See this as my first "true" stock robot, one which can compete with the Starcore AI pack v3. I just recently got back into robot arena and quickly picked up on how to do the stacking method (the legal way
![]() Shredder Weighing in at 996.9 KG, this SHW bot is capable of taking on some of the more annoying bots in SC-AI v.3 (at least in my opinion) It will live up to it's name by leaving the arena littered with shrapnel & metal parts. ![]() I didn't realize that the starcore pack gets progressively harder as each version progresses, otherwise I wouldn't have downloaded V.3 right from the start. However I feel that I am quickly learning to adapt to the AI level of competition that is presented to me. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The tutorial on stacking snappers was MORE than helpful. Here's two battles I had with some SHW bots: ![]() ![]() I'm still far from where I would like to be in terms of building bots, and I see that this robot pales in comparison to some of the other SHW bots, so any/ all pointers or advice how I can improve on this bot are welcome. 7

As long as it's from the Muscle car era & is making 550+HP I will love it.

Do tell me how that turns out when you're done.

Actually I've had my Metallica signature since day one. After 3 years of constant failure I completely neglected to see the tutorial threads in this forums, I found what I wanted (thanks Sage). I thought you had to cheat to stack components, but I see it's just a case of exploiting the game engine (It's still hard though).
Oh, and one last question (it's nothing really): Can you guys build me a bot that will beat all your bots? =) Thanks for all the positive help =D 10

I <3 hot rods. Though I'm not really a fan of rat rods simply because I like my cars clean, they definitely are quit the sinister/ badass looking.
I actually worked for a really nice guy building hot rods. Most fun I ever had =D My only vexation is that some people ask too much for these cars. 11

I am quite aware of that, I was curious for this due to multiple reasons, but one in particular was more of a necessity as I added an anti - weight ballast as it were, and now my bot is -9325.6 kg and when ever I test/ fight with it it just flies off into some glitched area in the blink of an eye; I assumed this was due to the negative amount of weight.
That point aside I really was wanted to do it out of boredom, in most cases I will not use that, but I wanted to try something new... 13

Okay so yea, I'm new here and of course Ive been playing this game for quite some time blah blah blah blah.
My question is simple: AAM? (or as I would call it: "How to stack sh** in the same place?") I've tired doing it...got confused....tutorial would be nice, if not a simple explanation were I went wrong would help. Basically what I tried to do was open the gmf file to a component (at least I thought that's what you are supposed to do to edit it) but unfortunately I got this: ![]() 15
