I'll admit, I don't think I would make it past the second round anyway, good AI bindings or not. This "old" Mister Heli is quite out of date in terms of design.

2
It's too subjective - I could simply dismiss a design just because I can.

This rule set is designed so that everyone has a definite and obvious standard to build to. I don't want to go through the process of having to ask everyone if their designs are used in real life.

However, I can relax the restriction a bit - maybe a factor of 2.5 (so you can slap 75 kg on)? Or a factor of three to keep it simple (30 kg motor = max 90 kg weapons)?

3
Well, you can enter a bar spinner, you'll just have to use lighter components/a thinner/shorter bar/a more powerful motor.

This kinda had to be done to prevent shell spinners and Sit-and-Spin types from completely dominating the tournament (which probably won't happen if someone is smart and uses an arena with low walls like the BBEANS ones).

4
Added a poll so I gauge interest officially.

5
I should probably ask JoeBlo if the removed collision mesh will effect any robots to the point of crashing Robot Arena 2 - I have not yet tested it out.

6
Rules have been updated to make things easier to remember, as well as unify rule sets so that all classes are bounded by the same limitations.

7
Hey, is there still any interest in this rule set?

8
I sent Jonzu a PM about taking over MMR due to technical difficulties on his end.

Hopefully he'll say yes so none of us will BAWWWWWWWWWWW over this.

previews of the new Mars Race Team Vipers and the Shadowfire Racing Jags come later

Not much happened, but lots of position shuffling around in the pits.
Also, Willy Makeit threw away his opportunity for an easy win right in the last lap. Cocky fool.

K343GS Racing, Jonzu, and Joey Bloe of URT will be getting a massive stats boost for next race.

Murderface Murders Season Opener @ Silverstone!
Last lap overtake allows William Murderface to win by a chest hair

The season opener of the GTM-GTC began in Silverstone Circuit, located in what is largely a disused airfield converted to a race track. Infamous for it's long straights and rhythm-breaking S-bends and hairpins, Silverstone provides a perfect season opener for the racing season.

In qualifying, Pathmir Fost set a blazing pace of 1:49:539, followed very closely by Joey Bloe with a time of 1:49.552. This front-row lineup were thus widely expected to quickly pull away from the competition, as the next car down was Juan Lopez, a full six tenths of a second off the pace. Annoyingly for Andrew Baker he qualified the race in 25th, dead last, nine seconds off the pace. Not even the second slowest car in qualifying was that slow, and that was infuriating for Baker.

However the odds swung about right at the start of the race, as right in the first turn, Bloe ran wide at Turn 1 and fell all the way down from 2nd place all the way down to last, while Yoshioka Miyafuji, the annoying Japanese rookie, had blown past a good number of drivers to move herself up to seventh position. William Murderface got off to a murderous start as well, managing to catch the top pair at the time - Pathmir Fost and Alex Harrison. Throughout the course of the race, these three drivers would continuously trade places as if it were a bad game of musical chairs.

Meanwhile, towards the back, drivers left and right were running three and even four wide trying to get past one another - a miracle that they didn't pile up into one another. Drivers like Mio Sakamoto, Foe Tepex, Juan Lopez, and Andrew Baker all fighting for 17th like it was bloody murder. Unfortunately for Joey Bloe, he didn't move many places up from this. However, battles were unfolding up and down the field, and by some miracle there had been next to no car to car contact.

With drivers especially those in 12th and below, it became incredibly difficult to tell if drivers would move up the ranks or down them - things would not be 100% definite until the pit window, on laps 10 and 11, where chaos reigned. On lap 8, Dustin Rockso and William Murderface opted to wait until the next lap to pit in, as nearly everyone else came into the pits. This is where things went from bad to worse for some teams - particularly for Jonzu the Unbeatable, who was about to be stuck into a situation where defeat was pretty much certain. Jack Smith had pulled in front of Jonzu just as he was about to pass by him, stuffing Jonzu into the pit wall. That blew Jonzu's motor beyond repair. Among other pit lane antic victims include Yoshioka Miyafuji, who was pulling out of her pit stall only to be greeted with some four wheel buttsex from Joey Bloe. Although her car wasn't completely wrecked, there was no way she'd maintain contention.

Unfortunately for Team Toki, consisting of Murderface and Rockso, their pit strategy was not the wisest, leaving Murderface to be passed by Fost and Harrison as he left the pits. Rockso fell down the ranks behind Miyafuji and Alex Larrain who was running 7th and 8th at the time. Slowly, however, Miyafuji faltered towards the end, and was left a sitting duck as both Larrain and Rockso overtook her in lap 15, without much of a contest. At this point in the race, it was largely Pathmir Fost leading, with Alex Harrison and William Murderface battling for 2nd, mere quarter-car-lengths behind.

That was, until Murderface managed to get Harrison to step a little bit out of his comfort zone, allowing Murderface past to make a great showdown for the last two laps. Throughout those two laps, Murderface and Fost dueled until halfway into the final lap, when Fost finally fell apart and allowed Murderface to stab right through the gaping hole in his defense. He would try to make a last lap, last turn counterattack, but to no avail, and Harrison's attack on that failed, relegating him to 3rd. However they were behind by less than a second.
