General Support / DSL 2 Crashes when I try to play a match

Almost every time I try to start a match using DSL 2, the game crashes. I get some kind of runtime error... here's a PICTURE of the error. Sometimes I can actually play a match but most of the time the game just crashes as soon as the loading sign comes up. I have the CD version of the game. It may be because I'm running on Vista, but I doubt/hope that's not the problem. I encountered the same problem on DSL 1, and the same problem again when I had both DSL 1 and DSL 2 installed at the same time.

All of the other game features seem to work fine with DSL 2, it's just when I try to play a match...

(Note: Is it okay to have both DSL 1 and 2 installed at the same time? The readme said 1.2 and 2 were okay, but the link to download 1.2 is dead)
