Very nice! Pretty much the setup I was thinking of. Rotating the extender that the HP Z-teks are on 180 degrees so they're kind of inside the chassis will keep them protected.
You could also try a rubber wheel to see if it's still invertible for DSA. It looks smaller than a shiny hub, but RA2 says it's "bigger". 983

3 Spike Strips is too powerful? I thought so. Pin and Kill's concept is just too good, I understand.
I'll just have to send in my next best bot, Bot Clean-Up. With only one black powering 4 HP Z-teks and a DDT it's sure to win!! 984

Both Canada and Sweden won their bronze and gold medal games in world junior hockey! Awwwwwww yeah.
![]() [Finland and Russia did ok too] We got hacked, I am probably gonna have to update the forum. So the hacker(s) just got the forum down for a few hours and didn't actually do anything of significance other than maybe collect random information? 985

You can't really flank Naryar's War Beast, can you? Since it's a SnS and all...

Stock Showcases / Re: N00B WARZ 4 - THE SHOWCASE OF EPICNESS« on: January 05, 2012, 07:30:51 PM »![]() This is Pin and Kill. It has 3 spike strips each on a DDT and HP Z-tek 4WD which makes it pretty speedy, crucial for pinning. It doesn't work well if it gets pushed around, but weighing in at 736.5 kg, that's quite difficult to accomplish. It also has two wedges on a Snapper2, plus protected wheels so you'll have a hard time getting rid of its drive train. 3 blacks and yes, it even has titanium armour. Beats NWB AI'ed. One of my best bots. 989

No, I still haven't gotten the third black stacked in.
...I've been in a hotel with a different computer, so I couldn't anyway. :P N00B WARZ candidates: (I really don't care how good each one is, I just want to enter the one that will generate the most lulz) ![]() ![]() Popcorn: A "good" popup; its only saving grace is that it has just 4 spike strips for weapons. Jack the Ripper: Actually not a candidate; it's way too good. I just wanted to show my "first" 36HS...because razors are just as good as irons or maces for less weight, right? Why is everyone using those when they can just use razors? I'll be smart and do that! Plus square extenders.Bot Clean-Up: A rupter. I think there's too much weight on the DDT though, so it doesn't even rupt...incredibly fast though, which should be pretty funny if I enter it. Maskinen: (it's like La Machine, except I used Swedish instead of French) A flipper. The small wedges don't fire though; there's a secret piston inside the chassis that fires horizontally which apparently is supposed to flip stuff. NightTerror: 6WD HPZ VS spinning down. The VS is on a HP servo, but I just used it as a heavy baseplate anchor at the time and it's not wired. Pin and Kill: 3 DDTs (!) for weapons. Name speaks for its function. 990

I have tons of old bots saved...but I mostly saved my best bots (at the time) so I hope there's one that's bad enough.
Sounds like it'll be awesome. Hazards had better be turned on. 991
Stock Showcases / Re: Hercules´ showcase« on: January 03, 2012, 09:29:03 PM »
Not bad at all. The big thing you still want is DSA. You can make the chassis shorter if you stack the control board into the black and shrink space around the snapper with a 6-point chassis. If you still need weight I think a Redbird suffices for the drive.
It also looks a bit wide to be able to flop around upside down, but if it does, it'll be fine. If not, try finding a different setup that makes it flop around or just make it invertible (more difficult). One last thing that's not as important is using another setup that makes the motors less exposed, possibly requiring rotation of the snapper or more extenders. I can recommend one, but let's see if you can figure one out yourself...it'll be more beneficial for advancement of your building skill. You're becoming a nice builder of various bot types, keep it up. 992

No, Nary just doesn't like crawlers. :P These are good ones, nice job. On the MW you could try using the other four disc attachment points for the weapons that are now kind of used as FS weapons (two razors and two irons) to see if the increased damage is worth the exposed extenders.

Stock Showcases / Re: Hercules´ showcase« on: January 02, 2012, 03:23:29 PM »Not a glitch; BFE. New bot is good. Raise the plow and pull it back for better trapping; and angling the FSs upward would cause more damage. Save weight and go for 16 razors! For example, the wheel guards are too thin to be doing much right now. [and crop your pics] 997

I almost voted NC for Best Modder but movepixel and helping with the code around the forum didn't seem like modding to me. I thought it was stuff like reskinning components, creating arenas, changing background music, etc.?
