2002, huh? Damn, I've been around this community for nearly 8 years? I was just a kid when I joined! Weird to think about. Thinking back, my old site was probably junk. I'm glad I made it though. It gave me some experience which allowed me to take over this other forum (some Animal Crossing fan site), which allowed me to take over as head admin of The Electric Playground forums. That 56k modem was the bane of my existence. I had to rely on this other guy to do my battles for me. I've always maintained that my bots are only ever effective when I'm the one controlling them (with my N64 controller).

AU would have been much more tolerable if DaStompa wasn't there. DaStompa was a hardcore despot. I recall there being allegations that he was reading people's PMs. Most of the other moderators were pretty cool (like AW).
i dont even remember that... seriously? i was fairly sure you couldn't even do that on ipb boards.
I remember people being banned for things said in PMs and DaStompa saying he can read whatever he wanted because he was an admin. Why was he an admin, anyway? I don't remember why the AU staff put up with that guy.

I have nothing wrong with Hacker, his mods are amazing, I love his AI and his crack pack, it just seemed like he liked swearing in readmes and on old forums XD

When I'm listening to Weird Al, I generally listen his originals more than the parodies. But I listen to it all for the comedy. (Just as I watch Seinfeld and Futurama reruns all the time.)

When I say that I dislike a genre, it's really a generic blanket statement. I dislike onions, but if done right, they can be enjoyable. Does that analogy make any sense? I never claimed rapping is easy. Hell, I envy anyone who is capable of coming up with lyrics. Seriously, I've been wanting to write some tunes for quite some time, but I simply lack the lyrical skills at the moment (and I refuse to collaborate).

i think the funniest part of this thread is that sparky is like 13 or something and all of these tiny tots shaking their ass are still practically fair game for him
also, weird al kinda sucks and i think it's really funny when he re-purposes a hip-hop beat and white kids who "grrrr h8 rap !!! it sux" eat it up and find themselves genuinely enjoying it because it doesn't scare them as much

Weird Al has proven he can sing. Most rappers haven't. That's why it's also acceptable when Geddy Lee does that rap thing in the song "Roll the Bones".
