I still would like mod powers in the new pony thread so I can de-spam it when needed. That thread is special to me.

I for one, know that I deserved my warn, but it was totally worth it. :gawe:
For cry out loud I hope this doesn't happen.

You do more damage to it than anyone else by deleting 400+ pages worth of content, and does nothing to prevent spams because they are the ones that care least about it.  So for example Jonzu watched 1 episode of MLPFIM total?  SotG don't even like MLPFIM.

The self modding rule should only apply to showcase because at least a member owning their own showcase makes sense.

Another thing is, no amount of moderation is going to bring back some kind of "good old time".  This is an old game, and even DSL has more or less reach it's peak.  Sadly the dramas make up such a big part of this board that without it, what else is left?

FOTEPX -> FOT EPX -> FOX EPT -> FOX PET -> FOXPET

Funny as hell, really.
I said it first. Nary's just copying me. :gawe:
I don't think you should take credit for something so obvious.

Hell it took me 2 months after he joined to realize that his name wasn't Foxpet.

These are the photos taken from my neighborhood in the past.

Yeah my 5 years old camera phone is the only "camera" I got.  So that's the only resolution I can take pictures in.

I went to NY yesterday and it was absolutely ****ing nuts. SO many people just willing to spill their hearts out to whoever wants to listen. I sat on the sidewalk with my friends after we bought some homeless guy some McDonald's just talking for like 2 hours. Random people would walk up and converse with all of us and it was generally just a really cool atmosphere.

The place was also crawling with cops and firetrucks. Vans and cars just packed with coppers surrounding everybody.
Which part of NY did you actually went to?

Hmm, I guess you're right. Even though it made both 027 and Snowflake talk MORE about it, they did both ragequit
Lol that's so mean.

I don't know I thought each time they mention it is an additional opportunity to hurt their feelings.  I mean what are they gonna do, call me insensitive?

Maybe I enjoy the process so much I lose track of how much effort it actually takes.

That works... sometimes
Maybe you are......  Doing it wrong.

See it's only consider "make fun of" if the other person "feels bad" about it.  Otherwise it's harmless humor which has no effect.  So yeah, feelings must be hurt or it doesn't work.

The best way to deal with people who can't shut up about their mental conditions is to make fun of them about it.

I guarantee they will stop using that as an excuse, at least when you are around.

Fair enough, I suppose
You know I kinna bang my head against the wall trying to get more views prior to MLPFIM Fanarts......  The only ways I know to boost viewcounts are

1.  Actually drawing good enough (yes the pro stuff gets like 100x more views).

2.  Fanart (popular characters in popular groups ONLY)

3.  Social networking (ex.  20+ Comments per day (on average).  Llama badges, social events)

4.  Advertising (Youtube how to draw, external linking, pay per click)

As you can see I choose not to use 3 or 4 on my DA.  I am just not social like that.  Since 1 is beyond my control, 2 is the only option I have left.  Fortunately I like MLPFIM enough to draw them for fun rather than for pageviews.

Quote
123hamster has 10,676 pageviews total and their 112 deviations were viewed 90,479 times. 123hamster watches 22 people, while 317 people watch 123hamster.                              Overall, their deviations received 803 comments and were added to deviants' favourites 8,394 times, while 123hamster commented 87 times, making about 0.04 comments per day since joining deviantART. This means that 123hamster received 92 comments for every 10 that they gave.

You forget to mention that her most popular stuff are MIKU and SAILOR MOON......  While her OC gets significantly less views despite her networking.

Pageviews doesn't really tell much.

How much actual favorites/comments do this person receive per image?  Actually you know it's a lot easier just to provide the link of the person you are talking about.

Also, when I said Pro I don't exactly mean people doing art for money (which funny enough can totally suck), I mean people who are good at it (which I define as significantly better than me).  If no advertising/pay per click are implemented, that person needs to be drawing a lot better than 95% of DA to get that kinna legitimate page views.

So if you are not one of the pros, the only thing that will ever get you any attention is if you draw fanarts in a fan groups.
I disagree. I know plenty of non-pros who get TONS of attention by drawing original works
So you are saying they draw bad and still get tons of positive attentions?

First, which website?  I assume DA?

Second, when you said TONS, how much exactly do you mean?

Third, how much time/effort do they spend on "boosting their network"?  This includes favorite/comment other people's work, chatting, youtube accounts, pay per clicks, etc.

Fourth, When did they start?

Either I am misinterpreting your definition of TONS, they draw a lot better than me, or they are advertising a lot better than I do.  Cuz my original stuff gets 50 views at best while MLPFIM easily gets 100+ favorites.

my sh** always gets ignored because they're the last post on a page and someone comes in and moves on to the next page for no reason arghhh
Na it's nothing exclusive.  The artwork thread has always been like this.

People don't care because they can google something done professionally for free.  So if you are not one of the pros, the only thing that will ever get you any attention is if you draw fanarts in a fan groups.

123STW's art style and technique has not changed much since he first posted work here...  I want to see some of your earlier, crappier, work.  Post some pictures that you drew 10 years ago.  :P
