I think it is because the ram is filled up with the other game. The game might still be running so check the "processes" tab in task manager. Also do you have vista?

ok here is a quick toutorial for you
note: i am using my starcore version in my ra2 tools folder. it will be dsl2.1 for
you.
step 1.download the dsl.rar file and stick it in a folder in your desktop.
step 2.once it is in the folder double click on it as indicated in noob1
step 3. as indicated in noob2 click on "extract files"
step 4. as indicated in noob3 in section 1 it is where it will put dsl2.1. if you
want it in a diff place select it using section 2 in noob3. when it has the
right place selected pres ok in section 3 of noob3.(normally just press ok without selecting a diff path)
step 5. once it is done extracting go to the place where you put it and click
on robot arena 2.exe

for the ziggo shell falling of easily you can just go to the .txt for the ziggo shell and make its hitpoints more.
