Despite being my favourite, im gonna have to say Mortis, every year that it entered it was shortlisted as one of the favourites for the competition and had crap loads of money injected into it, yet it still came up short every time
Agreed. On a similar note, Cassius II deserves a mention here, despite it being one of my all-time favourites. Had it not reversed into the pit, it could've won the whole series.
It had weak armour (poly) and I think 101 would have won on points.

Move one of the flails in the middle Was thinking this, will experiment. See if you can get rid of the bars and get techno's somehow. Probably wont be happening as the disc will intersect with the wheels.

Skin.

Looks like something off Robot Rampage. I now have nostalgia. Good bot on the whole but Hypnos if you can.

Chaos 2 only did badly later on because GF (George Francis, not Goldenfox) didn't upgrade it. And it still won a lot of battles. Yes, robotics have evolved, but no matter how good your robot is, driving and experience are the 2 most important things in robotic combat.

I don't think Chaos 2 would do extremely badly today, especially if they got some better pneumatics, which wouldn't be a fortune.

And here, on the comments of a HL1 video on YouTube, we see the epitome of human stupidity.
this is a ripoff of call of duty, I bet it's on the wii or something" Discuss.
P.S. The grammar in that quote was so bad it gave me AIDS.
To me, the Call Of Duty franchise is the same game in a different wrapper. It's also one of the most overhyped titles available, I think it speaks worlds about its marketing that people assume everything is a ripoff of Call Of Duty nowadays. And the fact that it's the only game that people from my high school seem to truant with the sole purpose of playing it on release day. Tragic, really.
If anything, COD's a ripoff of Quake, TFC, Doom, Wolfenstein, HL, Duke Nukem.

Too much weight is being used on slow drive at the moment. Perhaps use hollow discs instead, and try to get NPCFs and Hypnos.
Hypnos wouldn't make it invertible. I'll give it a shot though. Current version just about is invertible If you attached the discs directly to a shorter DSL bar, then that would save you almost 10kg you could use on drive and batteries.
The bar doesn't have an attachment point suited to that function, except in the middle.
