The Wicked Udugs

They were the name of demons who caused disease and misfortune in the ancient Sumerian religion.  Also, the name is quite catchy for some reason.

Humbug, I'm in no Christmas spirit.
Yet your avatar is wearing a Santy Clause hat...

It was a 10 minute photoshop job.  More of a time waster for me.

What I mean is that I really don't have any anticipation building up for Christmas.  I think it's all the damn commercials.  If I hear another re-lyriced Christmas song telling you to buy something I'm gonna scream.  That, and I didn't give my parents any gift ideas (I don't have any ideas that are cheap and they're short on money due to the divorce).

I don't like using cad programs. It limits you, or makes things harder. I've never been good with 3D drawing so I should work on that.

Photons are massless

Oh yeah, then why is light bent by gravitational fields ? And why are black holes black ?

Light is massless, but it does have some of the properties of matter.  One of which is that it can be affected by the force of gravity.

Eye burning scheme. Change to a black background and white text to sooth the eyes.

Not exactly...

Anyway use mostly subtle, light colors.  The text should be black, and keep one bold color for important shapes/headings/etc.

I'm no web designer but perhaps you can take some inspiration from my site.

If Noodle is sucking up Serge (that I doubt), then he is REALLY hiding it well. But for now, my opinion will be that they just happen to agree on similar topics.

Yes, thus we are friends.

Serge they're suspicious! RUN!!

Tolerant means... well basically caring not about other people's opinions.

I'd have to disagree.  I'd say tolerance is acknowledging and possibly considering other people's opinions, but not letting them get on your nerves.

So we all assume he's emo and wants to feel bad. If that is the case he should get help and if he decided to do it here then let him. There's no need to feed it. Your only doing what he wants if thats the case.

And so treating him like mommy's boy by calling him "big" is any better?

Like I said depends on the situation

In what situation is it OK to be compassionate and tell someone everything is OK when reality clearly states otherwise?

Yes I agree with you on the fix part. But "how" you fix it is also important. If your car is broken and you don't know squat on how to fix it you don't go trying to do so now do you. As for you engine metaphor, I fail to see how that work for here. There are lots of threads in unread and even if this is the only one there on the list your looking at there is no need to go in and cause trouble. I'm sure that if you made some thing and some one who thought it was not suppost to be here came and smashed that you would not  be happy. Yes its not the focus yes you aren't meant to bring it but, you may have just wanted to show it. this thread is yes not meant to be here, true, but its not much different from bring toy to school. You want to show it to your friends. Again yes thats not the focus and yes they aren't meant to be there but you want to show it off. Thats all this thread is about. As for his other problems, I'll take that to pm's between me and him so that you can not have to look at then.

I really need to stop using metaphors, because people tend to be using them on a level I never really intended for them to be (I never mentioned a mechanic with my previous metaphor, it had nothing to do with it).

The point is that you don't go about ignoring this problem with the hopes that it will go away.  Chances are, if left alone, it will probably do the opposite and grow to become an even greater problem.  The longer and longer you ignore it, the harder and harder it gets to ignore.

How about this...
Serge, shut up. Your sounding like The Village Idiot after some kid popped his balloon. Now go to a forum where people respect what you say rather than somewhere where you can torture the less secure people on the site. 'Cause that sucks.
IRW, get on topic while you have the chance.
And Noodle, I thought you should STFU. 'K?

Well while we're on the subject of opinions on people, I think you ought to piss off, shut the hell up, and come back with some valid arguments.

Exactly. Right now he is only trying to make us reassure him that his life sure does suck. And why would he want that?

Because that's what emo pussies want.  They want everyone else to think "man, that guy has it hard" when in reality all they really think is "man, that guy needs to stfu".

Compassion makes sense only if something really worth being sad about happened. Depends on the situation. Some time compassion is just listening to them and not biting there head off every time.

So what you're saying is that sometimes it's OK not to reprimand them even if they deserve it?

I may have been somewhat too harsh, but as Noodle said, I have had it with these MOTHER****ING THREADS on this MOTHER****ING FORUM. One, I agree you were a bit harsh there. Two, If you hate it so much then why not ignore it? Bugging them like this is only going to lead to more issues, surely you can see that.

The reason he and other people are paying so much attention to it is because it's a bit difficult to ignore.  It's like having a car with a valve tap (a tapping sound that you hear as the engine runs).  Sure, you could ignore that, but it's always gonna be there reminding you of it's presence.  Most people who have the time and money get a valve tap repaired just because it's so annoying.

That's the mentality behind it.  Why ignore the problem when we can go out and fix it?
