its not the ai. the huge wheels coupled with fast drive and light chassis make it really hard to drive anyway. I tried many things to fix them, but once i did, they always were very slow, and didnt do very well. The moral: Don't put fat boy wheels on npc fasts, especially on a robot capable of gyro dancing and with an off-centered center of gravity. Dang. Well, there's still the loser brackets.

hypno teeth pwn. QFT. Their only problem is that they can't throw other robots around.

$5 says it drives OOTA in all of its tabletop matches. There's no powerful motors in the game that AREN'T fast.

I loled at the Blah-Obzen fight. First three second kill I've seen in this tourney.

SHW's do not havok? Smartest quote of the day.
Most Stock SHW's havok badly. I sent Borg Queen on top of the Parking Lot's scaffoldings with a havok on a battle with 3 Borg Queens and one of my SHW's.
Maybe you didn't build any havoking SHW, but since you're talking of Venko, I bet he had numerous havoks with his SHW's, and Big Chaos runs ONLY on a glitch. Glitchy stock bots havok, in DSL you have to build a robot to havok in order for it to do so. That's why I'm suggesting DSL-only-no-custom-components-besides-antibalast robots. I'm all for this contest, I'll help you if you need it, Gen. But be warned, if Duh102 enters, he will pwn all of us

Instead of yelling at him, I'll just give advice. First, I would suggest a 2500KG weight limit, so no smart*** decides to enter the Hammer of Justice. Also, you just use DSL with no custom parts or Cheatbot2, otherwise you'd have an accurite representation of how good people are at modding, NOT bot building. You don't need a prize, a lot of tourneys don't. I've thought of a SHW tourney before, but never got around to it.
And just so everyone knows, SHWS DO NOT HAVOC. I've made like twenty and not a single one does. Ask Look at Venko's thread, he's the SHW expert. And calling Genocide a dumbass WILL NOT help. :x

You know how if you push the slider down as far as it can go, and then keep pulling, the top of the robot vibrates? Well, the faster you pull down the harder it vibrates, except there's a limit to how fast you can go. However, you can use this to kind of "bounce" your chassis to be even flatter.

It's the DSL max sphere. I'm already using DSL. Is it from DSL alpha or something where the sphere is larger?
EDIT: Tried it, and it makes the sphere SMALLER.

Is there any way to mod the max sphere, preferably by importing it into Blender? I'd like to be able to make juggernaut-bots like Duh102 and the Beetle Bros do. Sorry for being so helpless, but I am stumped!

I'm considering entering. Don't put my name down yet though, I'd like to see some other people's entries first.

Influenza is, frankly, the coolest looking stock robot EVER. Looks pretty powerful too. Not sure about the other one though...

Like if I had the weight... And that will make it even more unstable. I need to make another version.
Anyways, here's his big daddy: Grim Ripper 3
(Image removed from quote.)
1mm Titanium, 2 long ramplates, 2 titanium sheets, the middle skirt is aluminium and the side ones are steel.
I was thinking of this as a deadly war machine... well NO! I was more than disappointed by this one. He's just... average.
Although it was way faster than I thought, he's also unstable and has crappy wedges (i don't know why). And the damage are pretty low for that heavy duty weapon.
Without mentionning that the weight distribution is bad and it often flips. And for no reason, the protected weapon motor sometimes falls.
I should perhaps add a third wedge (like InfCon and HazCon) and side skirts for stability. Put a six mag on. You've either got the weight or can easily get it by making those plastic skirts shorter.

Psi has more than twice your bot's drive. And real wedges. And side protection. And good wheel choice. And not aluminium armor (i'm nearly sure it hasn't) I have aluminum five, my wheels have good traction too. My wheels ARE my side protection. And even though I only weigh 400lbs, I could still slow him down considerably. Actually, I don't want to get into a flame war here, so I'm going to run a test! Two bots similar to mine versus Grog. I'll post the results in a bit. EDIT: Three out of three times using a pair of Ripblades, Grog was flipped over. I'd say that is a good sign for me.

Psi didn't stay under Meaty. Besides, he effectively stopped Meats from being effective when the launching occurred. If I can stay under, he's going to get killed. No one said I'd beat the other two bots I'd fought either.

For those who say I can't beat Meaty, if I can hit him before he spins up I can maul him. He's got to have crap armor with all those heavy irons.

I wonder if the Hums were wired with a button? The Daisy/Blah fight was hilarious! Blah didn't know the weapon off of the bot, he knocked the bot off of the weapon!
