Wolverine and War Hog. In my opinion, the two best robots to never score a win on Robot Wars.

General Support / Re: TO EVERYONE WHOSE GAME CRASHES ON STARTUP« on: March 27, 2014, 10:14:28 PM »i apologize i meant to enter cfz. when i try to open it windows says it doesn't have the correct program. is there a program i should launch it with. It only says that because it's never seen a cfg file before. That dialogue box should let you choose the program to open it with, so choose Notepad, and tick the "always use this program for this file" box for good measure. 945

cfz is something else, don't tamper with it. cfg will open just like a txt file in Notepad++.

Pardon if I sound like Dragons' Den, but you'll get more people on board if you make a detailed list of your contributions and convince them that you're shouldering the bulk of the work. 948

It's certainly a good tip if you're using an AI pack that's high difficulty - study what works and makes your own bots better

Here, I made it the same size as the pic in the splash, it'll paste right over.

can I at least give you a better pic for your splash? It's be a real favor, since the looks are the main reason I entered.

The bevelled shape that I made has somehow disappeared - the saws aren't supposed to be halfway in the chassis

Oh goodness, what happened to Termite? It got fat somehow Can I resubmit the bot to you? Nothing will be changed except the chassis shape (BFE being allowed for replicas.)

Nice! I'm really glad you finished this, I loved seeing my bot in action, if just for a little while. I can certainly live with highest-ranked to not win a battle.

If I could add something to the top post, Nerd Cubed was using the DSL mod, which many people find intimidating when they're just starting out. "Stock" is the easiest version, and a great way to get a feel for the game with no pressure. I highly recommend starting there and taking steps up as you find yourself needing more as a challenge.

All I can think of off the top of my head is the "Fairly OddParents" and "Angry Beavers."
I know Pokemon doesn't count for this, but I particularly loved the Orange Islands and first Johto theme 959

Did we get any noobs after I added the game to /v/'s list in Jul 2013?

I think the medium is more suited to lighthearted material - when everyone's got huge eyes and shapely bodies, it's hard to take romance or fighting too seriously. I guess that's why I find myself drawn to slice-of-life all-girl ensemble shows.I like comedies and slice of life animes. Lucky Star and Azumanga are two particular favorites.Lucky Star, eh? From a guy like you Sonny, I didn't expect that (since Lucky Star is... well...) |
