For crying out loud, now you question it. Let's just forget Two Tribes ever happened. Is everyone ok with me judging matches by eye? And tell me if these are stupid rules as I wrote them when I was tired.
SIGNUPS CLOSE 25TH DECEMBER You know that part in weddings where the guy goes "Speak now or forever hold your peace"? It's the same reason I carried on regardless. No one questioned it.Fig.1 Basically, the arena doesn't know who goes off of the arena first. It only knows who goes furthest down in the Z-axis and hits the zone where the robot is declared OOTA first. I will judge it by whoever leaving the arena floor fully first losing, regardless of who goes into this out zone first. You know, like a sumo match. If you leave the arena to do the judging then if both robots go off of the arena at roughly the same time, then the one that "Won" by my eye could have "Lost" as it hit the out zone first.

For starters, knowing the weightclass would be nice.

I should probably change mine to the ME startup sound.
Ah, ME. Only God knows how I managed to put up with it for so long- I think it got BSODs every other time I used it. Forget Y2K, ME was the real Millennium Bug.
My family must have been doing it wrong, we never had any problems with ME. Except the "It is now safe to turn off your computer" screen freaking me out for some reason.

Jesus christ why are you testing my rules Naryar no one else has this problem I'll just declare trinity fliers unrealistic and be done with it. A spinner with pistons on IRL would probably gyrodance but not fly straight up.

Well that's certainly stretching the realistic rule a bit.

It's simple, rate your advent calender so far. I'll start Spiderman Advent Calender-Poundland (Probably, I didn't buy it.) I had a bit of a delayed start, on November the 30th I had a shedload of confectionary and was puking for December 1st (Lightweight, I know, could very well have been the KFC though) and didn't feel like eating much until December 6th. However when I did start, half the chocolates weren't in their little places, meaning a quick opening of some doors pematurely to rectify that. The chocolate's a bit crap and I wouldn't really want to eat more than one square a day. 1/5 wouldn't buy again.

Take the wheels off and put them back on, without rotating them. And make sure it's wired properly.

Less than 2 weeks now to get entries in! However if you're waiting for the apocolypse to pass to build and send your robots then I don't blame you in the slightest.

That made no sense.
And? Do you have anything else to say?
Does someone need a hug?

Only for me to turn around and deny it due to it having a custom component.I know it was a bit ambiguous in the rules due to me not mentioning it, but I thought DSL meant "No custom components" unless otherwise specified. Pretty sure Kid_Krusher's bot was a (horribly underweight) MW, not a BW...
Good call, Batman. I'll fix that later.

I don't know about you guys but i'm a sucker for funky chassis shapes. First things first, your DSL Drill bot needs more than one ant, unless they're stacked. Which isn't much better. Stacking in DSL and components completely cutting through others is frowned upon unless the robot is specifically unrealistic. And as these look more in a IRL style i'm guessing that's not what you're going for. :P With the weight you have left over you could upgrade those slimbodies to NPC fast left/rights and that would make it really fun to drive. And then you could probably upgrade the weapons on the disc aswell to make it more damaging. You could save weight by using poly extenders attatched to the ME's on the base instead of more ME's.
I like NienThousand, the bar looks like it cuts through the motor though (see above). Other than that, get rid of those stacked batteries! And maybe upgrade the drive to slimbodies, upgrade the armour, or do something else to get rid of that spare weight. As a general rule one ant per spinning motor works well for a 3-4 minute match. Burst motors need to be powered fully to what they say in the description though.
(Also cheatbot2 components usually are overpowered, I saw those judge panels!)
