who names thier yt account bussdriver

out of all the names you could use they chose possibly the lamest one ever

A retarded Eurofag, it seems...

I seriously am getting ****ing sick and tired of all the elitist Europeans. Why do they seem to think they don't have flaws? "HURR BECAUSE ALL AMERICANS ARE FAT!" Yeah, well that's like all Americans going all over Youtube saying that every person from the UK has terrible hygiene. Do we do that? We sure as Hell don't, because it's not true.

THANK YOU.

I am so sick of RW fanboys constantly squealing about how they're better than american bot builders!

RW bots aren't any better than *representing America* Battle Bots' Bots. I will admit that some of the RW bots are more creative and ingenious than Battle Bots, but that's it when it comes to the bots. A tag team of SoW and Biohazard would be pretty even against a tag team of Razer and Hypnodisc. Even the crappy n00b bots on either end of the pond would be at par with each other.

I gotta say that the one thing that RW got right was the hazards though (that includes the House Robots). The Flipper, Flames, drop zone, CPZ's and The Pit were much more "stay the hell away from" types of hazards, which is how they should be.

Battle Bots' hazards weren't as good.

I know I'm late to chime in on this but I didn't see this discussion till now...

RW was a show for TV that happened to feature fighting robots. Battlebots was a fighting robot competition that happened to be filmed for TV. A US bot BB or current would not win in a UK competition environment and similarly a UK bot would not win in a US competition environment. It always has been two very different but similar games.

Double posta

should be sleeping now, but here's the 8th version of Midnight Sky:
(Image removed from quote.)
Midnight Sky 8 have 12 Razors on 4 BSGs, it haz PL10 armor, and weighs 799.1kgs without smartzone. The bot's wedge is on par with Beautiful Oblivion.

your wedge setup is stupid. the small wedges fall pretty quickly and dsl bars suck as wedges. switch to a 1/2 sheet and small wedge combo so once the other wedges fall off you will still have a wedge.

GF constantly derails threads and discussions intentionally, it seems. That's pretty much all he does now.
agreed

its like hes not even trying to be a good productive member other than the (very) occasional tourney entry, nowadays hes just referencing whatever the phuck he can (aka LEL +1 POST) and whoring for rep/au status

Can you believe Kossokei is yet another member brought in by the rest of the Junkyard dwellers?

i wouldnt count him out (hurr funi as hell robot combat ref xd) just yet..... maybe he just has builders block

I've got builder's block up the rear, but there is a couple of bots I'm trying to keep un-showcased on purpose, just in case I get the balls to throw them into an un-showcased bots only HW tourney.

I think this is considered derailing, but eh. Nice reference btw

Anyway, I don't see how defensively playing disrupts gameplay.. if I were a boxer (robot combat to boxer analogy, yay) I'd want to beat the living crap out of my opponent, because my fans would want to see me beat the living crap out of my opponent, and I'm sure it'd be boring for the opponent if it wasn't any sort of challenge. Or maybe I'm missing something and we aren't talking about combat robotics..

I was being a smart ass point out how the original house robot, seen here, could easily beat any of the misshapen forklifts that competed in FIRST competitions.

This year it was Pitching Machines that grew wheels. No mutant forklifts.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1FKMCPXY7s&feature=youtube_gdata_player#ws

Moose (name of the bot) was the only bot that played defense.

Also I'm convinced that FIRST rigged the final at Philly 11. After I broke the Dupont teams bot in the match before they were allowed to borrow another teams robot and there was mysterious spotty radio reception for all 3 robots on the team I was on durring that match and only that match.

Why would you buy a used robot? It takes like 98% of the fun out of the sport.

FIRST is the biggest joke in competitive robotics. Any competition that expects spectators to dance the chicken dance and to Cotton Eye Joe can't be taken seriously.

It's also my fault that they don't allow any defensive play anymore...

AHA!  I knew I couldn't be the only one who thinks so.  Bunch of hippy-dippy "nobody loses" nonsense is what's going to implode the world when Generation Y is running the show.  What exactly is "defensive play"?

Disrupting the flow of the game, not playing in the "spirit" of the game, pinning other robots, pretending it's a battlebot, trying to damage other robots, ect...
It's also my fault that they don't allow any defensive play anymore...

Elaborate please...

See above.

I drove in the 2011 season. My teams robot didnt work right so i drove it like a pushybot and caused havoc and took 2nd place with it. Dean Kamen, the guy who founded FIRST told me he didn't like how I drove and the next year the rules completely outlawed everything I did.

SKBT log: Stardate 8/7/12 Time 23:09

Ex girlfriend has been flirtatiously texting me for past hour...

feeling a strange desire to brag about it to on GTM...

Mod logs say Saucey was muted for saying the n-word.

where can you see the mod logs?

You need to be a moderator. SKBT mods the Real Robotics section, as does every Roboteer user.

Nothing ever goes on in that section so I never have to do anything...

its pretty good. it gets deweaponed by grog and beats all the other DSL bots but I don't have any 600kg bots to really test it with. but then again I don't even have NAR AI or anything...

The bot preforms about as good as Lethargic Leprechaun if it was 200kg under weight.
