I'm always up for a bit o' gmod.

If you can just about play GMOD your computer will just about be able to play TF2, btw.
TTT server, anyone?

A bit bland for IRL atm, and too under-weaponed for standard.
Any recommendations to make it look better?

Modifications / Re: Robot Wars RA2 - OFFICIAL MOD

Envy neither exists currently nor is associated in any way with the Robot Wars live events, hence not in the mod. It will never be in the mod as long as the mod is associated with the live shows. So you can stop asking.

Asking for why Envy isn't in this mod is a meme on this forum.

Yeah. However, I thought Envy was part of Roaming Robots, which then became Robot Wars? Am I missing something here?

ayy lmao

This is the first in a series of 6 football named bots, based on my old DSL 2.1 Attacker and Defender tag team from when I was DSL MW Tag Team champion.
Lightning Spikes are there to prevent bot getting stuck on its side.

Time for my bit-monthly post.

Just posting to show that I'm still breathing.

Dude, If your gonna make a monthly comeback on the dot without being late, post some bots. If you are busy then just say so so you have an actual reason for not posting.

red can you build something already thats the entire point of being here
I thought dank memes were the entire point of being here.

I think those two things are in equal balance. Anyway, I AM building things, I mean, have you seen my challenge threads?

We do not watch every challenge tbh, so showcasing your bots is the best way to do it.

I think this should be accepted. It kind of looks like Huggy Bear from Battlebots but more frameworky, and I think it should be fine. It might do with some motor covering somehow but honestly it should just be accepted.

Hmm, does the frenzy axe have normals? Because then it could smash through your axe catcher no matter where it is caught.

Upgrade the armor. Also, use panelling and flipper segments to build a wheel guard and using any extra weight try to wrap the wheel guard around the back also. Wedges on the back are unnecessary, you should move them to the front.
I'm pretty sure the sheets on the back are for stability. Either way I don't think they're IRL myself.

Pretty sure you could bolt some more weapons on the front in an IRL way and make it hammer/pusher hybrid if you have spare weight. Or just make the chassis longer to make the bot more stable.

Put some wedges imo cause you will most likely get slamimed around otherwise. Maybe adding a couple of spikes wouldn't hurt, but The Perfect Axe-ample has rules around hybrids.

BTW Robot Wars Wiki is either in the process of an update to include pilot or is fully updated, so avoid any new articles to avoid spoilers. Should be common sense but I didnt realise a bot was new and got slightly spoiled so thought i would mention it.

I made another robot, but this one is a little different from the others I've made. Protogen and Tempest Atomic Bomb were slight nods to other robots (Barberous and S3, respectively) but now I have made a proper replica of another robot. And personally, I think I did a pretty good job.

(Image removed from quote.)

Wrong weight class, I know, but it's still pretty good visually. It preforms well too (even if the disc lacks range.)

The ram plates are there to protect the motor and to look like the support... beams...? For the disc. Big wheels, high top speed, damaging weapon, and the wedge is a bit bad to be honest. Still fun to use!
And the eyes. Tanto looks a lot better with them. Looks better with the disc too.

I'm not sure if you're supposed to post replicas in regular showcases, but I'm putting this here anyway.

Replicas can be posted in showcases and also in the Pay tribute with Replicas thread.

Also, I recommend switching to DSL or Ironforge if you wish to do replicas as you will have many more components to use.

Still, pretty good.

Sorry to necro here, but i also tried to email both Gabriel Interactive and WD Encore Software. Sadly i didnt get a response from either. Seems like a true hoax to me, or at least i hope so.

Welcome to GTM! Sadly I have to horribly shred this argument. Who actually would give enough of a sh*t to do this? Who actually has the skills to do this? Question this: Who actually thinks that someone went as far to convince Craaig to lie and say that yes, he had gotten an email from Gabriel Interactive. If you can say someone's name in response to ANY of those questions, please fling the person you named off the Tyne Bridge then follow after them.

Also, they probably dont care about your email.

WELCOME TO GTM, MOTHERF***ER. Seriously, welcome. Sorry I decided to rip you apart here but I felt my opinion was contrary to say the least and have a knack for being an arse/hard lad over the internet.

Actually, yes. If your skirt hinge has to be in the middle and is cut, you could have skirt hinges akin to Ironforge's singular, small hinge on each side in real life.

I think a gap could be cut through some of the panelling and skirts to ensure it could get through.

...Even the vlad lifter thing on top which is directly cut in half?

Each half could theoretically be welded to each side of the front skirts.
