341/2 days latter, R1 showcased some of his old bots! Yes, its me. I have been like a observer for too long, here I am once more, hopefully to be more active. To start, I would like to post some of my old bots, ones that have been taking their damn time to show up, mostly bots that never made it into combat. First is one of my old favorites, RimiR: I built it for BBEANS six well in advance, I built this bot around the time shortly before BBEANS5 started. It was very out dated when BBEANS6 came around, so it was placed on the back burner for MLP-Mk2, but I really wished I entered RimiR instead. Its so old I forgot what its armor was, but I think it was a form of plastic. Now for a bot some of you might of seen, and one you should not have Flash Back, one and two: Built for Robot Rampage, the Flash Back on the left remains one of my oldest if not THE oldest bot I still have. It made it into my AI pack(bet you forgot that old thing) for those curious. It was made to improve on HazCon, with a shorter body and wider stance and latter on a door hinge wedge. To this day I still want to enter it at some point. Its partner has better armor and wedges, but lacks Mk1 sleek look, so I'm going to leave it for now. Lastly, my EBLEAT team, Mega Drive, CD, and 32X Mega Dive is a old bot, slightly younger than Flash Back. It had something very new at the time it was built, snapper wedges(for DSL at least) but was never showcased. CD was the only bot built for the tournament, though just as filler, with slow drive. I never even tested this bot once. 32X was intended as Launch Platform Mk2, built with the same standards as was MLPmk2 was built for. It did see some screen time, though not much. That's all I'm willing to show for now. I'm still making bots and I'm still on the forums every now and again. I haven't left for good. *Vanishes into smoke*

You guys are missing the point. This tournament is not about destroying the other guys in the most brutal way possible, its about seeing a good fight fight through and through. I have seen an annoying tendency for bots that took MANY hour and look so cool and unique, only for them to be destroyed by a wave of iron spikes. I honestly don't see how entertaining it is to see these well thought out bots loose by a fluke.
SKBT hit the head of the nail. Its not about needless destruction, its about building cool, unique robots, not mindless destruction(Kinda hypocritical form someone who normally enters bots he had on his game for months at a time.)

I have to admit it, I hate wedges. The angle, the center of gravity, what its made from, how much weight you need, its all the tip of the ice berg really. And no matter how well you built that wedge, its always going to be beaten by another wedge, and you might spring off the wall or the other guys inferior wedge. So I would like to take that all out of the equation. In this tournament, your goal is innovative designs and sportsman like conduct, not ripping your opponents to shreds. General body of this is: DSL heavy weight 16 entry, single elimination, best two out of three Realistic rules, of course No unrealistic glitches, no BFF, no burst boosting, no glitches period Rules that only work to this tournament: NO WEDGE SHAPES, NO PANELS THAT ARE FLUSH TO THE GROUND, NOTHING THAT CAN GET UNDER THE OTHER ROBOT. This includes, but not limited to: - Wedge shaped bodies,
- External wedges,
- Titanium half sheets(Why have them if there are no gut rippers?)
Excessively powerful weapons are not allowed(If you kill your opponent, you lose that match!) No SnS If you can build a pop up without a wedge, then by all means, be my guest Flippers must be made using only non damaging components(must also fallow the no wedges rule as well) If building a VS, it must only spin downwards No flails No flamethrowers No suicide bots, if I can whack your bot and do over a quarter of its health worth of damage, it will be disqualified(Don't worry, it's going to somthing reasonable like a 70 kilo hammer) It may sound boring, but its more like a gateway tournament, built to ease newer players into AI tournaments, while also challenging older players into restrictions they haven't had in a long time. Remember, this is only a discussion, not a sign-up. I don't know if this will make it. Oh, and FYI, yes I can AI the bots and Record the videos. Feel free to discuss!

widescreen fullscreen ?
NFX (I think?) said that caused troubles
yours wasnt as bad.. the other one I had was too flat as they were trying to get away with invertiblity on the robot
That would be correct. When I'm in game, it looks clearly cubed shaped, but in paint its clearly not. Damn my 20 inch monitor.

A Rooster was on top of a barn. It laid an egg. Which side did it roll down? The left or the right?

There is an edit button you know. Any way the first bot has way too much empty space, and you would only need four ants to power it. The second one violates the rule about mixing stock and DSL. Stop using baseplate anchors, the multi extender does the same job for a kilo less.

Holy, its been a while. The one on the right is SurgicalStrike 2010. Its a fair bit better than its predecessor. Things that improved: Better wedges Move weapons closer to score one unified hit rater than six smaller hits. I cut out some DDTs(Five ratter than eight) looks much cleaner than the old one Its also a fair bit faster Stats are four HPztek drive, rubber wheels, three blacks, and DSA armor.

I apologize if I upset you, but that result happened every single time I did that match. It would end the same way each time. I just chose to go with what the game said. If it would make you feel better, I could redo the match to make it more fair by using your THZ.py.

The other half is finished. EDIT:@Badnik The loaners are out of the tournament, but I might do a rumble with them just so you guys can see them. There noting spectacular, all have weak weapons with a decent drive train.
