Strider is an HS. Built by Geice, which should tell you it has a snapper in there somewhere :P

And I did give it meltybrain AI and it still havoked. Sorry.

Ah, that's cool. I probably should have built a stabler design anyhow. =)

RPM only havoked against a bot that had a burst motor in it during Ironbot. But if you gave it that melty brain one, than it should stop havoking. =)

It was Crash Team Racing on the PsOne I was playing. Rocky Mountain Crystal Bonus Round, I had 2 minutes to gather 20 crystals. Timer started at 2:00:00, and I won by getting the last crystal at the exact moment the timer hit 0:00:00. It was quite a few years ago, though, and I didn't have anything to take a picture of my achievement with at the time.

I should get a couple more teams put together. Maybe some spinners and such.

I was thinking "...but Sage finished RAW 2 years ago..."

It looks quite good, but I would shrink up the DSL bars a bit, make them shorter. At the moment, they're obstructing the weaponry quite a bit, and eating up a fair chunk of weight.

None for me. Score one for Internet Explorer. :gawe:

Maybe it's just an add-on you're running.

TtTtM was probably too bouncy to do anything. =D But never mind. BFR was a good bot, and I imagine it should do well. Did well enough in BBEANS 5.

Valencia, Silverstone, Hockenheim, Hungaroring...Sauber might do quite well in the next few races. We could see Kobayashi on the podium in one of them, I reckon. He was running second in Canada last year when the red flag came out, that's the thing I remember.

Kovalainen's driving the Caterham. :gawe: Glock's in the Marussia. But yeah, I think Kovalainen may score exactly 2 points this season, if he gets a decent amount of luck. But no more than that, the Caterham is clearly too slow to consistently contend for points. Marussia should do better than HRT, I reckon, but it all depends on position finishes.

Grosjean won't win it this year, he's still too inexperienced, but he is definately a prospect for the future.
Lotus Enstone GP are my favourite team really, they always try to innovate, and although their upper management is atrocious, leading to their name changes every other season, they are a very talented team of engineers.
Sauber is my favorite this year. Perez is doing great considering how he used to get treated like crap as people thought he bought his way into the team. Kobayashi's always been pretty good, too.

Still, if Grosjean really makes a push he could do really well this year. My current hope for a winner is either Webber, Alonso or Grosjean (I was thinking Rosberg or Räikkönen could make it but they're being inconsistent this season. If Räikkönen steps up to the challenge the next few races he could do very well).
Sauber's probably my second favourite team (HRT are close nehind I think).
I don't think Perez was ever that badly criticised, he's not a pay driver, he just brings a good chunk of sponsorship, and he was a part of Ferrari's young driver development program for a reason, which he is showing wonderfully this year. Sauber have the best driver combo IMO, and a good solid car as well.

I don't see Grosjean being able to beat Kimi this year at all. Enstone have historically struggled with development in comparisson to the other teams around them (don't forget last year, at the start of the season, they had a car which was capable of achieving podiums, even in the hands of an average driver, but by the end of the year they were barely faster than the Caterhams) and while Raikkonen has in the past dragged the best out of poor cars, while Grosjean has not.
Even if the car does remain up to standards, Raikkonen is as cool as they come, while I can see Grosjean buckling under the pressure of the new prospects that have been placed on him.
Grosjean will have his chance, against Perez in a few years time.

That, I would like to see. I'm wondering if we could maybe throw Di Resta in there as a third candidate. He's had some pretty solid races this year, in a car that's not really as good as it was last year. But he's still scoring points, and doing a good job running in points positions for some races. No podiums yet, but he's still doing a very good job. Maybe he'll take Schumacher's Mercedes seat in a couple years' time.

I've not tried it yet, but it should be able to. I'm not sure how that would affect wedginess, though, because they don't retract to their original position. It can sometimes scuttle around if I fire the piston.

You're really picking this up.  How'd you do that chassis shape - it looks like 8 sides on the bottom panel and 4 sides on the top panel?  I'd kill to know.

If you look very closely, you can see that the left front corner slants back a little bit, so it's effectively got four chassis points on either side, but it only appears like two. (What plaz said)

It does look very nice indeed. It would have been better if the maces could actually flail, but the Axle Mounts are hideously chunky, an there's no real good chain component, because the physics engine is too useless to handle it.

Better. But if you attach the poly extenders by their side AP's, that will give you a shorter reach, more acceleration, plus they won't stick out the front like that. It's kinda generic now, but it's much more effective and efficient than it was before.

Hammer-like weapon shape is utterly pointless at that arm length

Yeah. I was going to make a popup, but when the extenders were preset at 90 degrees the opposite way of what they needed to be for a popup, I got lazy and decided it would be easier if I just left it the old way. New version will come soonish.

Simply rotate them 90 degrees. Press F12 to see the collision meshes, it's tricky to see the Poly extender turning on its own.

Probably. Also, it's far too long. You could get that stuff in a simple box chassis, which will save you a ton of weight. And don't overlap your wedges like that, it hurts the wedge quite a lot. And is technically unrealistic.

Wow, two bots in one day! I'm doing well.

Better MW Insectoid thing than the one on the last page.

398.7, DSA, 1 Nifty, 1 Small Air Tank. All built off a SnapperII, with the setup as last time, HPZ drive and Snapper2 wedges, but a slightly bigger chassis to get the air tank in properly. Also improved wedge extender stuff (wedges still suck, though, but could be sorted with fine-tuning), better placed casters, and a static mace for better stability. Hopefully. And it doesn't obstruct opponents as much as the iron did.

MW version of Blue Rain.

396.6, DSA, Nifty. 5 casters, 16 maces and 2 irons. All built off a SnapperII, and no havok. Uses pretty much the same setup as Blue Rain, but tweaked a bit to get the 16 maces on. But there's always one stupid flaw that crops up. IT'S DOING THAT DAMN TILTING FORWARD THING AGAIN. Maybe it'll stop doing that if I change the 25cm casters for 20cm ones, and mount them higher up.

Does driving a super duty pickup with dulies at work make up for the fact that I normally drive a PT Cruiser?
Unless it has George Clooney's face on the front, then no.

I have a feeling we're going to see Fluffy vs. Vertikiller in the final. Hopefully Iron Oxide can put on a good showing anyway. Plus Iron Oxide also has his King Of The Hill match this week. =D Twice the chance for success. I have a feeling I will do well there.

Also, since Kurt had a go, I'm feeling like it too.
