we should offer to let him join bb9 just for the fun of it
honorary contestant lol
in that case he would need some kind of coach ot it ends in a slaughter
Nah, it can be like when Jwittz got onto King of the Nerds - didn't last very long amongst the real players, but it was a blast to watch him try.

I don't think he reads his reddit, there were all the notices about alternate ways to contact him

Interesting reps. You know that TAN's wheels don't move when the pincers close, but I suppose it's impossible to make that structure otherwise, barring BFE.

What are you talking about, that's one of the most beautifully executed Face Slides I've seen in my lifetime. We have a future olympic champion on our hands.

I wish someone would sit down with this guy and tell him how to build...
I wish he'd do Stock so that he could feel the adulation of beating Emergency for the first time.

Pretty much RA2 & basic internet browzing.
Does it absolutely have to be portable? If no, consider getting a desktop PC, you get much more bang for your buck. The accessories you'll need are a monitor and USB wireless adapter, which will run you about $100 and $30 respectively. I found this, someone else will have to weigh in, but it looks legit: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883265827

I can tell you from personal experience that 1.8 GhZ will struggle to play modern games, or do RA2 and Netflix at the same time.
What exactly do you need it to do?

OmniMultiZone as you have it is correct, but Evil weevil also has to match, including proper capitalization.

That's the reason you need a lot of robots - nobody wants to watch 6 minutes of combat padded with 32 minutes of talking and 12 minutes of commercials, which is what you'd be looking at if that vid was a snippet from an hour-long program.

The real issue is the economic situation. In the 90's and early aughts we were experiencing economic prosperity - for a lot of people, it was no sweat to take time off of work, and to invest large sums of money in a project with basically no chance of return and a high chance of loss. Consequentially, supply of robots exceeds demand, and the TV show is entertaining because the producers can handpick the most TVgenic bots.
Now of course we're in a recession, and it's all turned on its head. But history has shown that the economy goes in cycles - could be possible that on the next upswing the sport gets a second chance at TV. Or a huge cash injection couldexpedite the process - is anyone owed a favor by Richard Branson?

I've been attempting an Evil Weevil replica for ages and every time I attempt to use it the game crashes. It uses omnimultizone, I've checked for spacing I've downloaded a pack to allow omnimultizone I've named the weapons fire1 and fire2, I've named the smartzones weapon1 and weapon2...I don't know what else to do. PS.Am I the only person who replicates without skinning?
. Have you tried starting with a fresh binding? It's not the mostdirect solution but it's worked for me occasionally when my bots crash. Have you double checked the spelling of the bot's name versus the name in the binding. They must match exactly, including capitalization, and be sure to check that there are no extraneous spaces.

Game uses 2 sets of chassis values. The top, shorter set has a fix height, while the bottom longer set can adjust height with each point.
The game uses the top set of values inside arena when graphic is set to medium or high.
So I have to have graphics set to "low" for the adjusted textures to show up?

I was going to delete this but I think it has instructive value. If this happens to you, replace your ra2.cfg file with one from a clean copy of the game. Problem (knock on wood) solved. All of a sudden, none of the BFE modifications I make to my robots' chassis are working outside the bot lab, like this one:
I think the problem may be with RA2 because they're all doing this. Please help - all the replicas I've made in the the past 8 months are ***ked if I can't get this resolved. I tried moving them to a fresh copy, no dice.
Could it be that I moved the files from one computer to another? I remeber I sent one to Helloface and it didn't work for him, even though it worked fine on my computer.[/s]

Cant wait to read them! Let me know if you need a consultant on any of the writings.
I might need to get some insight on Robot Wars moments since you're pretty well versed in that. Also, I still have the article you sent me. Are you cool with me migrating it to the TwilightFoundry.com site?
. Oh certainly!

Here's one for consideration: Replica Maker: Much like a shiny Zapdos, you may be fortunate enough to be graced by this person's glimmering radiance. In between wrestling bears and getting all the ladies hot in the club, this person designs painstakingly accurate robots using the crude tools available.
Wow Tommy those are some real bold statements. Not that I'm disagreeing, mind you.

It has to be in Playground
no rule says that... what is that, some old artifact from ACAMS era ?
Perhaps not, but just about every other non-troll forum I've gone to had a designated section for foum games.

Did you put 'invertible':False in the bindings? You must, or it will not use its srimech. Also, you should use OmniMultiZone instead of omni, so that Weevil can fire each weapon individually. Here's all the instructions and the download link a bit further down: https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=7165.msg368950#msg368950
