I've had it in original RA2 since after I built Swampengeist and V-Shape Mind. I still havent made any sucessful RA2 bots since then...I have made quite a few mediocre ones.

Yo ACAMS, why don't you go throw the idea at the ARC guys. You're probably one of the most respected people in RA2.

That was the last thing I was expecting upon reading this thread, I thaught someone was just leaving the forums.
Lu-tze as one of the coolest modders for RA2 ever, she made some great arenas and really fun to use parts. She made components that noone else conceived as possible at the time. RIP, Lucy. 907
DSL TC Showcases / toAst's Bots.« on: December 11, 2004, 07:44:01 PM »
These are my 4 newest bots.
The first one is a powerful spinner called Watch Where You Spit, that for some reason wedges have a small probelm getting under. It works to my advantage alot and has a Tornado Mer gear box powering its weapon. Agina is a rammer with 12 iron spikes and can double as a great sit and spin, it;s managed to take off Tornado's chassis in 1:30. It also for some reason stopped me from being able to play the team with Tazbot on it because of a cheap win it ad against it. Now whenever I click on the team my game crashes to my desktop. Swampengeist Dues Ex is a DSL version of my RA2 bot Swampengeist, which was a great hammer bot and worked pretty well as a spinner killer, although it has some trouble against low spinners, that problem has been fixed in the DSL verson. It hasn;t been tested in battle yet. What Tinfoil? is a SOB style robot with dustpan that can capture some bots and saw away at then, it just has problems with wide bots, so it has to be used as a wedge untill the sides get knocked off when facing those kind of bots, it will be fixed in WT2. ![]() 908

I think you can only use 3DS max. Sorry.
//edit: I'm sure everyone has seen this before, but I might as well show it off. Most likely going to be Fbomb 3. ![]() 909
General Support / Layering burst pistons« on: December 01, 2004, 09:36:46 PM »
I get that alot, but it happens with alot of parts for me, even the control board. Some weapon motors, ect. I'll gather a list when it annoys me to the point I'll have to.

General Support / How to use specific parts« on: November 01, 2004, 07:28:29 PM »
First, attach the door hinge or skirt holder thingy (don't know the specific name) to the baseplate (raise or lower it to where you need it first, though.). Then, attacth the skirts onto the hinge, and then click on the hinge you used and set the starting and ending points (I dont think ending point matters). After that just set it to a button and it's done.
Hope I didn't miss anything, was there anything you needed to know in specifics? 913

All pics can be found at http://www.freewebs.com/teamcykorobotics/ Thay shouldn't be too hard to find, but the puctures are a little fuzzy. 914

Discussion / Has the Patch improved DSL?« on: October 15, 2004, 08:53:09 PM »Quote from: DarkRat I agree CB all we keep hearing about it how slow spin motors are. I haven't seen any bugs. The new car is way better. Way less pixelly. Keep it. The tri-bar being in 3 sizes is cool but I see the same problems in original RA2 with the tri-bars are proboaly going to come back. The limited rotation axels are cool, but I have ley to test it out on a skirt yet. I have also yet to use the JX burst, but when I do I'm thikning it will be fun. :D I like the drive motors having more power but the weapon moto *mauled* 916

To be completely honest, I've made a new RA2 on my computer for 1.0, just so I can make FBS's. 1.1 is awesome, but I still say it needs the motors to be brought back to thier original powers. All of my spinners from 1.0 (even the heavyweights) get beaten up by lightweights. It's kinda sad.

Discussion / Has the Patch improved DSL?« on: October 11, 2004, 08:45:41 AM »Quote from: foolishevil I really don't like the lowered motor speed. The extremely powerful motors were my favorite part of dsl.\ Yeah, I just tried to make a full body spinner and even the 6 motor gearbox didn't spin it very fast. If you make the motors faster again and keep the rest of the patch how it is, it's pretty damn cool. 919

I was wondering if Beetles would work in DSL, and to my surprise, they work better than they did without it. :D
