So...Nary, have you had a girlfriend?

Anyways, [stoic mode] : Love is a pointless emotion. Maybe it is worth investigating and understanding, but apart from that... what ? It surely can make you very happy, but it also can make you quite sad at the same time. And it is... different from what we call logic. Difficult to comprehend. Also, it means caring about someone else, being sad when the person is sad. It's rather pointless if you ask me.

I am searching for something that can make me feel content all of the time. Wisdom, realization that the world is awesome and that you can be awesome if you really want to, something like that. No regrets, no sadness, no uncertainty. The unfettered mind. Then also maybe I am not working at all towards the Übermensch ideal... [/stoic mode]

Sounds like Nar is fighting back the urge to love. :coolface

The only two friends I need are Ben and Jerry.

Think about it, ice cream is the perfect girlfriend.  If your girlfriend was like ice cream, think about how great things would be:
  • She wouldn't be needy.
  • You can get some whenever you want.
  • She never fails to satisfy.
  • She can always feed you without complaint.
  • She wouldn't bitch.
  • She wouldn't bitch over the phone.
  • She wouldn't bitch on facebook.
  • She wouldn't bitch via texting.
  • She would never bleed out of her genitals and have harsh emotional changes in correspondence with such bleeding.
  • She would never want to snuggle after sex.

I'm in a relationship with cute boy called Furizu. He is 16 and very great person, he is also into same things that I am. Only sad thing is that he lives in america so we may not have much time to talk with eachother. :(
(Image removed from quote.)
Jonzy, there is no straight man in America named Furizu.

I gotta be honest Jonzu, the trolling is getting old.

What restrictions are on the free version of Fraps?

It will only record 30 seconds at a time, plus you get a fraps.com watermark.

The full version is $30, right?

I may get it soon.

It's either 37 dollars or alternate acquisition.

That museum-of-hats is just made of sheer win.

That's actually going to be a working hat store.  There will be scripted NPC behind the desk who you can buy hats from.

So I promised myself that I'd make a robot today (again), and that didn't happen (again).  :gawe:  The reason for this is that I've been spending my entire day making a map for my friend's Garry's Mod server.

Here are the fruits of my labor so far.  You may notice a few broken bits here and there (blocky lighting, missing textures, etc.) and that's either because I haven't gotten to fixing them or I have them like that to make it easier to work on the map.

On a more general note, I've been mapping for source for a few years now and probably will for some time.  I figured I'll post some of my work in this thread from now on.

I hope Scourge didn't see any nightmares...

Nightmares are great fun.  No really, they kinda are in an odd way.  Beats not dreaming at all I suppose.

I watched the whole episode and it kinda left me half-satisfied.  Don't get me wrong, it's great so see something like this on TV again and I'm glad that there's still an interest in the sport.  It was also nice to see some of the familiar faces from BattleBots.  The problem I had was with the format of the show.  They didn't show enough of the robots.  A lot of the show (like many other similar discovery/science/history channel shows nowadays) focused less on what was going on and more of the drama surrounding it.  For instance, the show kept cutting to the crowd, drivers, and Grant over and over again during the fights.  I just wanted to watch the fight, not the faces the crowd made while it was going on.  Another problem I had was how rushed it was.  They had to fit an entire series plus in-depth behind-the-scenes moments with all the teams.  Fights were skipped and three minute long matches were trimmed down to thirty seconds.

All in all, and despite some of the criticisms I have, I really hope this show takes off.  I could tell the entire thing was done on a restricting budget.  That being said, they did a good job of presenting the show.  If the show takes off, they get more money and some time slots to occupy.  With these resources they could probably follow in the footsteps of BattleBots more closely.  But heck, even if the show takes off and the format doesn't change I'll still watch it just because I get to see a little bit of my childhood again.

tl;dr - I liked the show and how they're reintroducing the mainstream public to robot combat, but the format needs a little work.

Should I use a different video editor?

Probably.

As far as video editors go, there aren't any good free ones (that I know of).
Your best bet would be to "acquire" Sony Vegas (it works great for pcs but idk anything about it for mac).
