Sawyer - 20 etc

I've just found the Readme file, and it turns out my uncle played guitar for them.

I must be the only person in the UK who does not give one <expletive> about football. Frankly, I'd rather it was replaced with three hours of Rickrolling.

Surely you could put a small 20cm or so extender facing down on the extender holding the halfsheet, then attach the spike to that? It would look like a piston aswell, which would make it more IRL.

That's what I would have done to eat up some weight. Or you could have something like a Cutting Tooth on it to eat up weight, which would probably look more IRL, similar to the spikes on Bigger Brother.

so who's watching the england game

YOU COMPLETE RETARDS

My sister has invited 16 of her school friends around, most of them are watching the England game, and they all have booze.

I have locked myself in my room for their safety.

That's only for the first tournament, 16 entrants or 15 plus one four-member wildcard. After the first one, I think you can get up to 32 members. We can either have an absurd amount of byes, which some people seem to be against here, have a wildcard rumble which would put some people at a disadvantage, or have a wildcard mini-tournament, which gets it down to 16 entrants with no rumbles. It's Mr. AS's tournament, though, so it's up to him, I suppose.

Something I did to stave off boredom.

Reasonably standard 36HS. 798.0, DSA. 2 SnapperII's, all built from 2 20cm extenders. I like minimalist extender work. 5 casters, BA+CB+Supervolt stack. Single Black worked for Monsoon in Annihilator, so I thought I'd use it here. Totallly invertible. Nothing too special. I think the original Schizophrenia is better than this one.

Looking very nice indeed. I'm sure I tried something like this, and people said it was too small. I can't really tell how steep the wedge is, though, that might just be the camera angle.

As S_M said, a rumble would sort of cheat out members who didn't design their bot for rumbles. So what I'd suggest is a Wildcard mini-tournament, with two one-on-one matches, where the winners fight for a spot in the main bracket. That would allow a Wildcard system, and negate the need for a rumble.

You are only summoned with the Fox-Signal. Like the Bat-Signal, only much more English.

Not too bad for a first attempt. Diotoir is one of the trickier reps to get right, largely due to its complex shape, with the wheelguards and pointed front end.

I'm guessing DSL.

Sounds similar to the Robot Wars Series 8 tournament that Jonzu is running. Do be aware that running a Display Tournament here means you can't get any input from forum members: submitting bots, AI help and so forth. It should be pretty interesting if you can pull it off, though. =)

Revised middleweight rammer deal.

Same weight, same internals, same everything. Angled the outer maces to stop it tilting forward, and moved the HPZ's inward (by accident) to offer them better protection. Casters appear to be a bit pointless now, though. At least they'll give some protection if the maces get taken off. No havok or AGOD. =D

I had the most legendary First World Problem yesterday.

My street is a dead end, but its "exit" is also on the route to a popular historic location.

The Olympic torch was heading up the street and I needed to go to the shops for milk, so the whole strret was blocked off and I couldn't leave my house.

wat

lol. The Olympics are obviously more important to Scotland than your wellbeing.

At least it's back in England now, though. You could phone up the Olympics committee and complain or something. There was a scheduled power outage where I am that started earlier than stated, we phoned up and complained, and got £22 out of it. =D

Does look very nice indeed. It's difficult to get right in RA2, because it's such a wierd shape. But you've done pretty well with it. If you put the stabilising bar thing on an axle mount, it had one either side, if I remember rightly. Then the tail could swing over, and the stabilisers would stay put.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to ask you to get this moving along. Deadline was four and a half months ago, so you're gonna have to start posting videos, or I'll have to close it, which I don't really want to do. But those are the rules.

wait, wait, wait.. fotepx is on the highest rep list?

**** I have been gone a long time 0_0

The tendency is for people to be on the high rep list who previously had an extremely low rep, then they received a lot ot uprates for improvement. I think it's okay that Garvin's been reset, though, he's definitely shown some degree of improvement during his second tenure here.

Nice stacking there. Chassis could be shrunk up a little, though, and the BA's could perhaps be moved towards the edges of the chassis a bit more, removing the need for those extenders (ninja'd). You could definitely use some slower drive, maybe redbirds, to try and get yourself up to 12 irons. I reckon 6 irons and 6 maces, one of each on a 20cm extender would work better, because you've got the reach of the irons, but the extender protection of the maces.

Apart from the fact that it has no left-hand side. :gawe:

But yeah, it's nice to see them all together. Would have been good if Recyclopse was there too, but I imagine the previous versions were gutted to create the next. That happens a lot in robotic combat, so I'm told.
